Stunned us but got there in the end The cohort of msy76 is a diverse keen group of individuals ready to step off into the deep in our aviation career. As graduate students, weve found geocaching as a way to keep us entertained and in touch with nature on the ground as our dreams still fly high. Once again thanks for the cache
Barked up the wrong tree quite literally here, making the search far more difficult than it needed to be. Found eventually, thank you!
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Cheers, Cympull.
Only had half a day at work today so went for a quick cache before the kids finish school and this was our first find for the day.
Beautiful location with a grand old character house. Quiet on site today so a quick stroll to gz and cache was soon located. Log signed and returned to hiding spot. Tftc
Out and about with Flowerydaze, Taybee and Taybee nz after attending Popmac's coffee time event in Palmy. Almost passed this one by while we were doing the Adlab found by Taybee nz Thanks for placing this one here rorybutler and Etherlord. LOg signed jointly TNZFT

Found while out on a caching mission with Talla64, Taybee and Taybee NZ. A quick find. Log signed as TNZFT to save some space on the log sheet. Lovely area, no-one around today in the light drizzle. Thanks very much for maintaining this cache Etherlord.
Did not trust my instincts and ended up searching for longer than needed. Took the name too literally. Nice spot. Great place. TFTC
I found it but I didn’t have a pen!! Luckily someone lended me one. Thanks to the previous cacher’s for the hints will definitely have to come back here for a picnic ️
Visited this lovely spot while gathering info for the nearby Earthcache. All quiet here today so we were able to sit back and look at the grand old house and grounds in peace. Have to admit I searched for the cache on the wrong level to start with but soon figured out my mistake. All good here TFTC
This months Wheel of Challenges challenge is about finding caches of all the different types. I had dealt with all the other types required without any trouble, but timing was causing me some issues with the event cache type. So, after completing my commitments in Wanganui I rushed over here to attend an event. I did arrive 40 minutes late, but that still counts and was enough time to have a cup of coffee. Then it was off to find some more Palmerston North caches, and this was one of them.
Lack of attention to detail meant that I struggled to find the correct entrance point at first, but once I opened my eyes I got to the cache location and found the cache (on the third tree I checked).
---
Thanks to rorybutler and Etherlord for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

A lovely walk through the gardens to this spot. No one was around so it was a quick find without anyone watching.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Etherlord Clan.

Out for a day's caching in Palmy with NZ_B and Itchyfeet2020. Itchyfeet had already found this one, so NZ_B and I wandered along the garden path to GZ, where a quick find was made. All good in the container. Thanks to Etherlord for maintaining this, PNs oldest cache. Tftc!
Found with MamaHoof and the rest of the family while in Palmy for the day. TFTC
Lovely location, never visited this part of Palmy before, had a nice wander around the gardens doing the adventure lab and then found this cache afterwards. Also had a look at the river where there was some canoe polo practice going on. A quick find at GZ, the cache is in good condition. TFTC
Found it! Loving my exploration of this park. Grabbed while doing the adventure lab. Tftc.
Doing the ad lab at this lovely homestead. Thought we would find this cache at the same time. A nice easy find. Tftc
I am in Palmie for a caching weekend and added this to the must do list as I arrived. I am starting to focus on gaps in my older months and this was one of them, so thank you for keeping it going Etherlord, much appreciated. Great spot, this place is gorgeous. Listening to the rowers go hard on the river behind me as I type this up on the seat. Lovely early evening. TFTC.
After approaching from the bottom I decided I would continue the loop and come back! Pretty cool grabbing the oldest active cache in my hometown
Im in Palmy for the day and a couple of hours free after getting the shopping sorted. So the LAB here was the drawing card to wonder around this amazing place. Just had to call at the Totara? But no totara here. As I reread the Cache info yes a Yew tree it is and cache now tagged. Cheers.
Zara and I came north to catch up with family and friends for Xmas with Rattll,s BBQ also on the radar. A surprise visit to the Etherlord Clan Saturday night and then a couple of days in Wanganui picking up some LABs and Trads to get Signal through the Castle Labyrinth. Then back to Paly and Wellington. Then with my friend aboard Zara,we did a side trip to Tora, Paihatua, Palmy, Foxton and back to Wellington. And awesome week travelling and catching up with friends with a little caching on the side.

Took a short elimination search, aware that muggles could appear at any moment. TFTC Etherlord Clan!
After completing the nearby Ad Lab and the associated bonus cache, we naturally had to pick up this one before heading out of town. It took two of us longer than it should have! Lost track of the number of ‘hollowed‘ trees we checked. In the end Mrs tbird discovered it in what she described as a ‘nested‘ situation. The main thing is that we found it! #5311. TFTC.
Nicely sized cache with tons of swaps came a couple of weeks ago but it had been muggled thanks for bringing Me here! (Again)

Having driven yesterday from the Hutt Valley to Palmerston North to attend Etherlords birthday celebrations (joint with the Clans housewarming), a few of us (Myself, Etherlord (with 1 GeoKid in tow), and the Seagnoid) decided on a spot of afternoon caching after a fantastic morning of board gaming!
In the area so that Etherlord can perform maintenance on this cache, and complete the multi and adventure lab around the beautiful location. Some amazing history here! I will need to come back again and explore the inside of Caccia Birch House.
Nice to be the first to sign the fresh log. Thanks for replacing =)

And the string of dnfs continue! After a great start to day at about lunchtime I had 4 dnfs in a row. Lovely grounds and a place I'll come back to. Thanks for taking me here.
Found it. Reaching down from the top wouldn't have worked though. You might need to change your clue.
Stopped by while completing the AdLab. All good here other than the pen missing.

Thanks for the cache!
Sorry for the delay in logging. I’m in the process of finally logging all my old finds.

In the grounds completing the AdLab. I then headed towards the water looking aloft for a mighty Totara. Hmmm. No Totara that I can see. Followed my GPS. Read the description. YEW have to be kidding. How could one confuse this specimen for a mighty Totara?

The Manawatu region is now in Alert Level 2, which means we can now go geocaching again. Yippee!

Wonderful to get Palmerston Norths oldest cache. Left a little Princess behind. Tftc
What a lovely old building. Easy find with @peadub. Glad we find Palmy's oldest cache. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
I found this cache while completing the Adventure Lab on these grounds. Not quite what I was expecting but replaced as found and added a bit more cover, although who know if that will last. Thanks to rorybutler for placing and bringing me here and Etherlord for maintaining.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and family... We ditched the family - they wanted to go to the markets and shopping, and we wanted to go caching - an easy solution...
We decided to work this hide into the nearby Adventure. This was a quick find - the nearby noise coming from the lagoon had us nervy and unsettled. Thanks rorybutler and Etherlord and TFTC.

#9177. Another weekend. Another road trip to the Manawatu with Infoferret and Bruzie. This one minus a bare-footed chap. We had our sights set today on the Community Celebration Pi-Day Event being hosted by the Etherlord Clan and if time and weather allowed a trip up Wharite Peak. Left Wellington at 8am and so had time to do a few caches before the event.
We stopped here to do the adventure lab. Its a magnificent homestead with wonderful gardens and view of the lake below. As we were walking around bruzie mentioned he had picked up a cache here on a previous visit. So checked the GPS and sure enough he was right. We were just metres from it. I spied a suitable looking hiding area and after a quick search had the cache in hand. Signed the logbook and replaced everything as found. Thanks rorybutler for placing your cache here and Etherlord for adopting it. Good to pick up another pre-2010 cache.

Thanks to Bruzie (who remembered there was a cache in the vicinity) and GSEL (who actually did the brain work and spotted it), the cache was quickly located and signed off whilst we were perusing the c=grounds doing Adventure lab stuff. TFTC! No 3905
Just visiting here today to complete the adventure lab and dropped by to check this cache. All ok and dry.Lovely surroundings!
