#13559Day 3 of our Geocaching NSW Expedition to Wagga Wagga. After our breakfast event we decided to follow to trail down South from Armco to Mango. Then it was onward to the Pub Crawl.Going into the Livingstone NP was a nice break from the Pub powertrail. So nice off roading by our L-plater took us to the top. The cache was not in good state and some maintenance was carried out.All caches were found and signed with the initials of Everest High, Brewmaker, ZiggiAU, noisypittah, Team Canary and It's Dozzie.TFTC!

01-Feb-21
Very old, had fallen apart. Restored it with a new same size container and replaced the zip lock bag holding a very old log book

31-Jan-21
After reading through the logs I realised this container has been broken since late 2018! Over two and a half years ago! It seems to be wrapped in plastic bags for most of that too! I am actually shocked the logbook was in such pristine condition depsite how it was hidden, and despite a lot of the other swag being wet in the past as paper and pages were stuck together.

Given this is a very old cache, and it is also hidden in a National Park which is no longer allowed without permission, we decided to do some much needed cache maintenance.

We replaced the container with a brand new one, and put the ORIGINAL log in a new plastic bag. Was so thankful the original log is still so good, but we had a spare just in case which wasn't used.

All the broken / wet / not usable contents and swag was put into the bin, along with the sad looking container.

Thanks Team Horizons! Hopefully this lasts another 15 years! Loved the 4X4 driving to get here too!

11-Oct-20
Cache found without any issues, though the container is toast and needs replacing, its on life support at the minute with several plastic bags, but id assume they wont last too long.

Woo hoo!!!

A plan was hatched with fitzy_1965, Albida33, Minniek, GLISS! and cosmonaut97 to head down south and tackle The Rock. We have had our eye on a Jasmer down this way for awhile and with the new AL’s and some other great series in the area it was time for a visit!!

It was an absolutely fantastic weekend with some great caching (and some epic adventure) and we were so spoilt by the local hospitality from Baby&MrsGopher.

06-Sep-20
Weekend away with fitzy_1965, Albida33, nibletricecakes, GLISS! and cosmonaut97.

Sunday saw us all up early to finish off most of the bMg trail before heading East for a bit more 4wding to some older caches and then on our separate ways.

Trail finished, we headed over to Mt Livingston picking up a few caches along the way.

All caches were found quickly and in good condition.

06-Sep-20
After completing the 4WD track at The Rock, I travelled with Nibletricecakes, minniek, Fitzy_1965, Cosmonaut97 and I headed to Mt Livingston to continue more 4wd caches. This is one of our targets for the day. Great to get an oldie. TFTC Team Horizons

21,381. Found during a meander around The Rock/Wagga region.

A group of us from Canberra and Goulburn were at The Rock for a fun weekends caching around the area. Late this morning cosmonaut97, GLISS!, nibletricecakes, minniek and I headed into the forest to collect some older out-of-the-way caches. This one proved to be a great drive and walk to uncover the cache. Still going ok wrapped in a couple of plastic bags but really needs a new container.

Thanks Team Horizons !!

Out for the day with Happy pants as we were heading to Wagga to do some caching for the day.
Many laughs and fun were had over the time, along with a variety hides found in some different areas.
Another old cache out in a lovely remote area. The GPS was jumpy but we didn't take too long to come up with the goods. The container is needing to be replaced.
Thanks Team Horizons for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Out with Happy Feet today grabbing a few caches along the way and decided to head off the sealed road and hit the dirt tracks and grab a couple of old hides. 2005, wow what a relic, a little worn but still in play. Took a while to get to the gz but was fun making our way there. Great are away from the crowds although we did pass a muggle on the way back out. Thanks Team Horizons for the cache. 19 March 2020

So never been to this NP before and wanted to have a look around, was an easy drive to it and an easy find, sadly the cache is in a very sad state, one side is smashed and the lid no longer does anything. Needs some love.

There is a caching event today, well why not make a full caching day out of it with a bit of shopping included. Big Grin I started the day by telling work that I wasn’t available at all and then I decided on where I wanted to cache. Well seeing how I have found the caches North, South and Central areas around ‘The Rock’, I decided on heading East this time and finding some of the historic caches around Livingstone National Park. TB visit on all found caches today. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found and for the fun I had while finding them. Big Grin
Today’s totals:
Big Grin 17 Finds (1 Event, 14 GC and 2 GCA)
Sad 1 DNF

David Livingstone (1813-73) was a Scottish missionary and medical doctor who explored much of the interior of Africa. In a remarkable journey in 1853-56, he became the first European to cross the African continent. Starting on the Zambezi River, he traveled north and west across Angola to reach the Atlantic at Luanda.

In March of 1871, journalist Henry Morton Stanley begins his famous search through Africa for the missing British explorer Dr. David Livingstone. He found Livingstone in the town of Ujiji on the shores of Lake Tanganyika on 10 November 1871, greeting him with the now famous words "Dr Livingstone, I presume?"

Called in today [@AngusnmumyAdventures](http://coord.info/PRRD6GG) it was another easy find, however was in very poor condition. The logbook was ok but the lid of the container needs. We signed the log, replaced it and covered it to proted it a little better.

Thanks for this cache Team Horizon, Lil Donna

#466 was found on day 156 that saw 4 more caches added to the list of found caches and finished off another of the pages of caches close to home.

This was the 2 for the day and the first of 3 that saw me do more walking than I really wanted to do today. However to be able to get the 3 in this area was an achievement and it is rewarding to have them out of the way. Having only a 2WD vehicle with a ton of gear in the back it is a little hard to climb some of the hills on these tracks around here go to within 1.6Klm of this cache and decided that walking was the only option so off I went. It was an enjoyable day and before I knew it was arriving at GZ. The find was easy and then it was on to the next one.

Thanks Team Horizons for the cache.

#1051 @ 9.40am. Despite an early start with Team haveanez today this one was the 1st cache for us for the day. Had gotten near this area the previous weekend when we did "What an Easy Day - GCX6HB" in the NinjaGolf but the tracks aren't designed for low clearance vehicles. So today we came prepared in the GeoTriton & The GeoPrincess was deployed near GZ with the Garmin however her satellites must've been having on off day because she was about 15m away from where BigEz came up with the goods. TNLNSL Thnx

We were heading for another cache when we realised that this one was getting close so went for it. No problems in the X-Trail and just unfortunate that we didn't think that we had the time to go for all three in this forest reserve.

I really can't believe the audacity of the Farmers heading into this one in a commodore.
It took a lot of Alan's skill behind the wheel of the AWD to make it into here after a couple of false leads.
Short walk and another cache. Looks like a good place for a long walk, pity we don't have the time today.
Thanks Team Horizons

Find 6/13 today.

Surprised to see a dam out here in the middle of the bush. Had plenty of water in it too.
Much enjoyed the drive through the grass tree lined tracks.

Easy enough find, and once again, didn`t have any crafty swaps and no exchange made.

Ah, these three LIvingstone caches, very interesting. Got the 2WD car in a little bit, then decided that was far enough.

Out with the Mountain Bike, Coooeeeeee.
Off I went riding along through the forest, a bit rough at times, but a great ride.

Rode all the way to this cache, Thanks Team Horizons for a real adventure in the forest, Rode ALL THE WAY, to all 3 caches Coooeeeeeeee.

PS - Dropped off a TB here, then as I was riding off, along came a noisy 4WD careering down the hill, and out poured some people running to the cache. How odd seeing someone way out here - it was of course the Scenic Routers. Great chance meeting, had a quick chat, then back on the bike and off I went, Cooeeeee.
