A nice spot here.
I waited for a couple of muggles to pass before carefully commencing my search. It would be easy to slip over in some places but luckily I didn't. Didn't take too long to spot the cache. According to my phone it was about 12m from the indicated GZ but it's easy to see once you're in the right spot.

Following Ruff and Tumble, ZQX and I continued around the walking track. Sun was beaming down, so we had a layer of sweat by this stage. Soon we arrived at gz to find a container in good condition. Nice to get another oldie. TFTC
Fox in Jox and I headed to Sydney for the weekend for some caching. We had thrown together a plan during the previous week, and despite it's lack of maturity and detail, it worked out perfectly. On Saturday we joined Team Novo for a trip in his tinny, and on Sunday we zigzagged all over the upper North Shore. Our aim was to collect solved puzzles. I had solved all the X-files and some of the Random Destinations before our plan came together. After we had a plan, there was more furious solving to knock over the last few. And as we discovered at RD7, we had a bit more to do to get over the line. I collected 19 caches on the weekend, including 13 solved puzzles and 3 golden oldies. FIJ dropped me home after 8:30 on the Sunday night, and I slept the sleep of a very tired person.
We enjoyed the walk to this. We saw a lace monitor not long after we started walking. It was a beautiful day and the bush was showing off its beauty.
At GZ FIJ made the find.
Thanks Mr MR for keeping this golden oldie going.

Spotted a possible hiding spot from the trail, which was where the cache was hidden. Very soggy contents including logbook. TFTC
Made a quick dash across slippery rocks to grab the cache today. Yes it’s damp but I still managed to sign the log. What a surprising area in the middle of bushland! TFTC
Found on a walk through the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden, thanks for the cache! Logbook has become a bit wet though.
The perfect cache for our 500th find. No torture here, just a lovely walk through beautiful bush we would never have otherwise discovered. Thank you
I did indeed adopt this cache a few years ago, however never actually found the cache as I moved out of the area for some time. Thanks Mr MR for taking the reins of this somewhat oldie!
Now have been back in the area for some time but not ventured down the Mueller trail. Today decided to clean up the Wildflower garden.
This cache could have been tough, however luckily turned up in one of the first spots we looked (incidentally now note there's a spoiler)
Cache is all in order!

After a rocky start, we soon had cache in hand. Clever hide. Great spot to cool off on a hot summer day
Good find on a nice walk, only did one of the caches due to rushing the walk. Logbook was damp so couldn't sign, instead took a picture with the cache.

TFTC - gorgeous spot! Took us a bit longer as we followed the path left instead of right
With the exercise radius about to be shrunk, I made a point of taking today's outdoor exercise to the wildflower gardens. I only passed two other couples on the trail. Made this find without any difficulty. The start of the wildflowers are impressive, I'm sorry to be missing both this place and Muogamarra again this year. TFTC.
Had a really nice walk after the local parkrun. Very interesting reserve and good caches.

FP awarded for the great walk down, and the cool location of the cache. FP not awarded for the walk back up. Cache in good nick. Thanks for bringing me on this walk. TFTC!

Our intrepid leader (yes, our 7-yr old) found this one too.
Lovely location; TFTC.

Walking the Mueller Track with my cousin who's visiting from the UK, I took the opportunity to drop in a new container and log.
I also left a couple of TBs I've been carrying around for a while.

Beware the Lace Monitors, I think its mating season.

Not surprising considering the name of the cache the log for this one is so wet it was not possible to sign it.
Nice place though!

A nice afternoon walk through the St Ives wildflower garden on the first day of spring. Despite the nice weather we did not see many people on the track.
The creeks and waterfalls were flowing after the rain of the previous days and caches were all found!

Picked the right spot eventually, so many great spots to stash. Open day with sculptures, but hardly anyone actually going on the walks, a bit sad really.
Continued the walk to the waterfall for an easy find despite the dodgy reception.

Even though we are in a drought there was still enough dripping to get wet while searching. The log is disintegrating and needs replacing. A good hide.
3rd of 6 finds today. For years and years I have driven past the Wildflower garden and always make a comment that we should visit. Well today finally was the day we made it. Planned to do some bushwalking with my Geosons to get them out of the house on a nice day and decided to throw in any caches we went past on the track. Started out on the Fitzgerald track, then continued on the Mueller track. Eldest Geoson and I found the cache while the younger two sat and had a rest. SL, TNLN, TFTC!
Easy find but need new logbook.
Beautiful walk to get here.
Maintenance required.
Left trackable.

Tftc. As the cache name is so well associated to GZ location (that's not always the case), I decided to check one obvious place first and it paid off. Logbook is in poor condition.
At the latest at this point I noticed that I've came all the way down to the creek since I started the round anti-clockwise from "Take a seat" and at some point I will have to climb up from this creek. And after that the trail started to climb up and that was quite a challenge for "fat man + >30C + no water"-combination. So it did not took many tens of second to drink couple of ice-cold ice teas after I reached the visitor center.

On a very hot day I came over to the St Ives Wildflower Garden just after opening time and was surprised to see all the parking areas were full, even the large grassy area at the bottom. Found a shady spot a bit further down, not really sure if you're supposed to park here and set off on my walk.
I walked a short distance on the Brown Trail then took the turn off to the Mueller Track. It was quite steep going and not really appealing for the return trip on such a hot day so after finding the cache I continued along the Mueller Track and took the short link trail to the Solander Track and headed back that way. So I did a circuit!
Once back at the geomobile I found all the parking lots empty - where had they all gone? I never saw anyone.
All the time I was on the Mueller track I could hear the creek running and once at GZ the water was also running over the rock face after last nights rain. Didn't drive me crazy, a pleasant sound on a hot day. The cache was easily found. The log sheet leaves a lot to be desired but I managed to sign my name. (Sorry I planned this a week ago and forgot to take fresh paper!)

Today went much better than yesterday when I found one from 3. Today it was seven from seven in the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower garden. The flowers were well spread, although when we got back to the Visitor Centre, we had in fact seen all of the flowers in their display.
This was the fourth of the day.
Took the TB that was there. The log was damp and very fragile.

On a lovely late winter morning I decided to visit the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden, a place I missed visiting during my twenty five odd years living only a few kms away. I though that there would have been many more flowers in bloom with spring only a few days away, however, the ones that I did see were very beautiful. No muggles were to be seen, in fact my car was the only one in the car park at the beginning and end of the trek.
The Mueller Track, where access for this cache is required, had a sign at its entry advising that "after a rock fall near Billy's Bridge, track repairs are currently being carried out on the track and that the track is strictly closed to visitors". Notwithstanding this advice I figured that as it was only a short walk down the track I would venture down. Once at gz it was a quick find thanks to the helpful hint. TFTC

Container and bag replaced. I was sure I'd put in a new log sheet but it looks like I forgot. Thankfully, the old log is still signable, just. I won't be able to put a new one in until November so if a kind finder is able to slip in a fresh piece of paper I'd be very grateful.
I dropped a TB.

Found it quickly but the logbook as really wet. I guess the last couple days of rain didn't help either. A thorough drying would be needed for it.

Weather: Pleasant autumn morning
Cache condition: OK - logbook is still slightly damp
After a morning run with friends and family I decided to search for some nearby caches to warm down. I parked as far into the park as I could and headed up the trail. I found the other nearby cache and then continued down the path. Close to GZ I saw the sign indicating that the path was closed, but decided to continue on given I was so close. I very carefully passed the rock-fall and then walked the final stretch to GZ. Interesting rock formation; it was dry, so the torturer must have had the day off. I soon had CIH - TNLNSL, TFTC

Told the family I wanted a surprise outing on Father's Day, including at least one geocache. After a call to Mr Hancock of Hancock Clan fame, they brought me up here to do this loop. Great choice it was too on a beautiful spring morning.
Whilst I faffed about ineffectively on this one, the darling wife came up with the goods.

A lovely walk. Not much dripping today. DF found a leech or two grabbing a lift causing the two junior cachers to freak out. TFTC.

Very nice spot and not too much dripping to be heard today - but I did get dripped on getting to the cache. The log sheet is reasonably dry but has become very mouldy with most of the recent names being obscured. There is still plenty of blank paper to sign but quite yucky to unfold. TFTC

Found with the geo-crew during an overcast Sunday afternoon wander around the wildlife gardens. I have passed these six unclaimed smileys everyday for quite a while but weve got five of them claimed now. Wow - finding an old Charl cache takes me right back to our early caching days. Log sheet was a little damp but still OK at this stage. Thanks Mr MR for keeping this one going

The wildflowers are in full bloom along the trails, and as I chose to cache, my geowifey had a paid job face painting at the garden show. I collected 7 on the trails and the area here is quite tranquil. What a gorgeous day to cache, thanks akkatracker
We decided to walk a circuit from the education centre along the Mueller track then back along Solander trail/road, collecting the 5 caches. We had a top time in the wildflower gardens today but saw way too many stairs. It was fairly dry here today, but the water was definitely still dripping. The cache was easier to find than I expected and not hard to access. Thanks for a great hide in one of the better locations in the park.
After doing the encroaching cache I came back to the sealed path hoping for an easy walk to GZ, wrong again! Down I went, oh my poor sore knees...A lovely spot once I got to GZ, I used the water torture to cool off in, and made my way back up the track...
Good cache, who knows where that water is coming from?
The noise kicked in about 2 mins after, no muggers out

A delightful winter afternoon to complete the Wildflower circle of hides - Had a lovely walk with no snakes, leeches, mosquitoes, ticks or any other critters (except the odd curious wallaby) and not even drips to block my way. I expected a bit of a shower after such a wet week but not this time.
Thanks for the hide - What a lovely part of the world.
If I had bothered to get a track map from the shop the first time I came out here I would have realised that it is possible to do a full perimeter walk starting with Bentham then Caley followed by the Mueller track and all the way back around to Dampiers Clearing.
That would just leave 'Mr Rock' to be done either on its own or as a side trackback along the Solander Trail...
