Found while accompanied by Cybergran V on a bit of a maintenance run. The idea was she would chauffeur me around and I would find the caches, she would see if any maintenance was required. That lasted as long as it took for us to hop in her car and find it had a flat battery.Take two. Now I am driving with her directing me where to go. Had a fun few hours picking up caches around the area. Don't ask me where I actually drove, I was lost after the first few turns.I had tried to find this one years ago but was stopped by locked gates. They were locked again today but Cybergran V was able to give me some hints to make the find. Very clever camouflage. TFTC
We solved this one but an unfortunate soul had taken up residency too close to possible GZ location, so we couldnt search.
Great cache.. though the climb was.... well.. fun Immediately saw something out of whack but took a little to figure out the mechanism of retrieval!Didn't have a pen but took photo for verification if required. Thanks for taking me to somewhere I have passed a few times in my travels but didn't know was accessible!!
Found 15 Sep 2024 at 1:13:38PMThis weekend I played part of the support crew for the Vic North Last Man Standing Backyard Ultra event in Shepparton, but also managed to find some time to find a few caches along the way. Many thanks to djcache for placing Altitude in flat land for us all to find. **Found with GoodLook and the Dame** Found whilst in Shepparton for the weekend to attend a birthday event. The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own. The weather was glorious, the vistas stunning, the coffee shops pleasant and the company wonderful. Thank you djcache for highlighting this area and for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. Appreciate your efforts. - P*Took*: Nothing*Left*: Nothing**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Cache on! **#18875**
Ive never been able to search for this properly as its always been too busy around here, Today was my lucky day. Signed log & returned. TFTC!
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. In Shepparton for a few days as we wend our way towards Canberra for the GeoBash. Today we decided to have a lazy day. With a late start, then back to the van for lunch before tootling off and tackling a few more. Mostly less traffic in the CBD due to Sunday but the Harvest festival was definitely drawing a crowd there. TFTC djcache [^]
TFTC,On our way to Ballarat to do the GeoTour.Great hide. Added a favourite and visited trackables.
On our way to Ballarat after a week of golf at Barooga. Solved this one, looked around, wazza9 turned up and I quickly saw something unusual. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO. Great hide.
Having worked out the coordinates I made this my first find for today after spending the night in Shepparton.
Stopped for this cache while traveling through the area on holidays.
We spent an hour or so walking around town sightseeing so completed this along the way.
Loved the views from up the top. It let us see the area from a perspective we wouldn't have known about if not for the cache.
At GZ we had a sneaky look and saw something not quite the same, nice hide!

TFTC. djcache for your cache Altitude in flat land that we found today.
We are staying at our daughter’s farm block jut outside Shepparton. After the overnight and morning rain the sun started to make an appearance. We decide to head out to Tatura for a few hours caching. All caches found in good order.
On our way back we decided to stop at the revised GZ for this one. We had calculated the GZ sometime ago but never found the opportunity. Being a Sunday late afternoon we had a chance to find the cache without being observed. After a short search we had the cleverly hidden cache in hand.

Stamped as JAMS - JJ52, alllister w, mogni, sir_spectre. All of these teams are from South Australia and after some major planning we managed to find approx 700 caches while being away for a week. Also qualifiied for a variety of challenges, found LGA's and had lots of laughs. Found while attending the Victorian Mega in Rutherglen.
Thanks
Thanks
The JAMS team (JJ52 allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) were on a road trip heading to the Rutherglen Mega event (staying in Corowa) for 3 days then winding our way home via Albury, Wangaratta, Bendigo and various other places in between. It was a great week with many more caches found than we expected. There were targeted caches, challenge caches, Ad Labs, events and various others to fulfill various statistics for the four of us. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a bit on our way over on Friday, then half a day after we left Wangaratta but on the whole it was great caching weather. We did drive a few slippery muddy roads, but nothing too bad. We also caught up with lots of people either at events or out in the field and enjoyed many great chats. All in all a fun time with lots of Victoria explored and then very tired when I arrived home. [^]
Today started off wet when we left Wangaratta heading in a round about way to Bendigo finding caches in a different LGA and others that we had targeted, but thankfully the rain stopped around lunch time which was good.
We spent a bit of time caching around Shepparton as we wanted to find at least 20 caches in this LGA.
Once we found the way in it still took a while to find the cache in the fourth place we looked. Cool cache.
Thanks for the cache djcache.

The JAMS (JJ52, allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) go mega... We came, we cached, we laughed, we hugged and we had a great time. All caches were replaced better than found. It may have taken one day to get there, but it took us 5 days to get home
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find

Trying to get Allister w multi numbers up. Tryiing to get to 20 finds in this LGA. That is not where i expected to find a tower. Nice cammo at gz, quick find.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

A great hide! Searched high and low at all altitudes when suddenly we noticed something askew… TFTC!
Afraid of heights I made the climb up trying not to look down till I got to the top. Awesome views. I needed to sit down once on terra firma to ponder were the cache was and to calm my nerves. the GPS wanted to take me onto private property....I started investing a particular area my curiousity and my Geo senses found the cache. Fav point for pointing this feature out and for cache execution.
After waiting a while at The Golden Barber with the Geokid to get his haircut I decided to find this one once we had finished.
Geokid was was excited to climb the tower while I searched.
I was receiving directions from him as he climbed.
Geokid seemed to recall having hunted for this one previously.
I started my search in one location, then drifted away to a nearby structure.
"No , it's not there!" came the shout from above.
I returned to the original location, thinking the Geokid had inside information.
Hunted around some more as he descended the tower.
Upon reaching the ground he heads straight to where I was instructed it was NOT hidden.
2 seconds later shouts "Found it!"
Very clever cache although the coords had me a fair way off.

Another road trip adventure with Aquilus1 as we venture off from Canberra to go to the Whittlesea Mega. The major lure of course was the GPS Maze (we have attended 5 of these now!).
We went the longish way on Friday so as to collect virtuals and labs a little further west, its a shame that several of the labs could only be done travelling north..... at least we have WP1 done!
The weather was all a bit crap, with crazy wind, rain and swamps everywhere being a feature of the trip.
A huge day on Saturday of 30,000 steps around the new challenge trail at Mt Disappointment was not disappointing.....but it really hurt! We truly became "Limpy & Gimpy" as we hobbled around the showgrounds & did the maze afterwards. The glory!!!
Lucky for us Sunday was a day with mostly park & grabs in convoy, the result of a huge team effort to solve the WCW GeoArt at Whittlesea. I did venture out of the car to clear roads of fallen trees and even stood under a waterfall to retrieve a cache....the things we do! Have to shout out Albida for daring to take on the crazy steep track in his 4WD and Minniek for crossing the log!
Of course we didn't ignore counties as its always one of our major focuses. We ventured south into Melbourne late on the Sunday to collect several, as well as virtuals. I will never forget just how many mozzies were in the loo with me at the MCG!
Monday was a cleanup day with labs, another event and wherigo in Whittlesea (scroll down to the bottom to read the heavily edited logs! )
On the trip back we went a different route to collect some other counties and cool old caches. Car developed a slow leak which meant us putting air in it every 100-150km's, but it got us home!!
HUGE thank you for all the cache owners, if we signed your cache it was because it had a quality we were really chasing. BIG apologies to all other cache owners, we had SO MANY more we wanted to sign, but of course there just isn't enough time.

Great to find this nice old cache. Perfect while the car charged.
With the Whittlesea Mega, its GPS maze and a number of events on over the weekend, GreyHams and myself set of for our four-day caching trip. Perhaps one of our trips with not much of a plan but we seemed to fill the days fully and ticked of what we had in mind.
The trip down was one that followed the most sensible route... past lots of virtuals and definitely not the most direct, perfect! With a number of AL's as we passed and a few caches of interest we arrived at Whittlesea in time for the evenings event.
Saturday's forecast wasn't the most favourable for caching but the challenge series at Mt disappointment was of interest, and it's a challenge series after all so what's a little rain! We did get lucky really and a few showers blew through but for the most part it was dry enough. It was a long walk and a huge push, but we made it back to the car, a little broken and sore but it was a great series and worth the suffering! (There was suffering!) The day also saw us through the maze, a few AL's, caches and events.
With the prep of the puzzles prior to the weekend it was a group approach of the solving team, the Whittlesea Canberra Caching Group, logs signed WCCG for the Sunday. So great to head out with this group, a great trail of such variety of caches and locations. The huge storm overnight made it a little tricky with so much extra water about, a few downed trees, wet feet, some walks and a couple of leaches (was that just on me!) Great to collect these caches, or at least most of the ones we could.
It's not a caching trip without collecting new LGA's and we did manage a few extras, into Melbourne and its surrounds, feeling a bit stiff and sore from our huge walk it was a limp about for the rest of the weekend but cache on, we did!
Monday saw us back at the Mega for another event, a chance to finish of the AL's and a few last caches. Our journey home taking us through a few new LGA's, more virtuals, and caches of interest. A great weekend away, we filled all the days to the fullest. Many thanks to the Committee for organising and to all the CO's in the region and as we travelled about for your caches.

On our way to the mega and went via SA just so we could finish off the OYB series, We did these with TT and marked our territory with a stamp that said Team Tassie, most of the caches we found in good order and those couple that weren't we fixed up as best we could with what we had to hand.
All found now well till some more come out anyway!
Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Enjoyed the multi and clever hide.

The last day of our Drive from Adelaide to the Whittlesea mega and a stunning day. We were amazed by the flooding in some areas but had heard about it prior to the drive.
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Tassie Trekkers, Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.

Found this cache while out caching with Goosenegg and stainless steel rat.
Today was a drive from Mildura to the Mega site in Whittlesea
Thank you for the cache.
All caches stamped with "Team Tassie"
November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.
The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

We worked this one out. Thank goodness for Google. After not finding it we turned to the logs and once we expanded our search soon found something that looked slightly different. It was a quick find then. Nice to get this oldie.
Lovely time in Shepparton with Kittykatch on the way to the Mega.
Thanks for getting me out and about djcache

When we arrived at gz there was a sign saying “closed due to vandalism” so thanks to TBS I did get a little help with the coordinates.
I did notice something a little different but I kept moving on to the next point. After a short while and a few hints from TBS I eventually found the cache. It was such a delight “oh Tobes you’ve done it again”
I just love being back home

I stayed overnight in Shep so I had plenty of time to find some caches with great D/T ratings. This was one of them. And no I couldn't climb up there but still needed a PAF to come up with the corrected coordinates.
I searched for ages and came up empty handed despite a friendly muggle wanting to find it for me.
After a cuppa with a local geocacher and another PAF, I returned for a second go at this fella. Wow, I had looked at this numerous times . I should have checked out if there was anything similar around.
I still didn't have access to the log however. Ahh a couple of tradies nearby. Nope they didn't have the required TOTT with them but they pointed me in the direction of another tradie.
After he had completed a very sensitive part of his work, he was only too happy to help me out. He was very impressed by the cache and the work that had gone into its construction. As am I. Interesting djcache that the tradie does some DJ work.
Anyway a great cache and thanks for thinking of us oldies. A FP coming your way. SL

And that was tough in more ways than one! In Shep on a few missions that included a visit to the newish fab art gallery to clear the decks of a few solved puzzles and do a few multis so here I am. This was memorable as it took a few goes. Either way, great to be here. TFTC AND THE FUN
We went up the tower and got the coordinates quickly enough
Had a very sneaky search. No luck
Read some more logs and with the coordinates possibly be a bit off, widened our search
Cache quickly found, quickly retrieved, signed and returned

We are on our way to the Vic high country and stopped for the afternoon and night in Shepparton.
We had a great Thai meal at a restaurant we spotted while doing this one. Only a few caches today. But no gym on this trip so exercise is where you find it.
The hide was almost identical to one we found in Brussels in 2018. That always helps.

Phew.
The work out was just what Astro needed. Up and down. Did I do it twice {?]
The final was a bit of a twist but we got there in the end. I had looked at it but moved on as I was slightly anoxic. [xx(]
A mega jaunt with endeavour3 saw us caching this cache and writing in the log, then we moved on. A lovely place to explore.

Cache found in the last place we looked, which was not the first place we looked. Very clever cache.
e.Gregory1 and Freddo decided to travel to Wangaratta for Geocaching Victoria’s first 2022 Mega event. The attraction of GeoMaze icon was just too tempting. We packed the Land Cruiser for a bubble environment. There would be some public exposure but we would be keeping it minimal. Fortunately we did not bother with any warm clothes. Fortunately we packed some Bushmans with +20% DEET. There were caches to find and we found caches. We saw a lot of interesting places and met the occasional geocacher or two in the field.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Found as I made my way from Adelaide to the Mega event at Wangaratta with Freddo.
We meandered our way across northern Victoria, camping along the river and generally avoiding contact with other people as far as possible to minimise covid risks. We targeted some specific caches of interest, but also took the opportunity to find other caches opportunistically as we were passing.
We managed to jag a parking spot right next to this one. It didn't take long to gather the required information, although it did take us a little while to spot the hide. Retrieving and replacing it was interesting, with a muggle at the nearby seat!

My final cache in Shepparton! I was only going to grab caches last night, but I DNF'd this one. Couldn't get up the tower because it was closed and was a bit confused about the 2nd option as I was put on the spot.
Was lying in bed and decided to have another look at this multi, I was super keen to get it because of it's uncommon D rating and old age... 2005!
I soon made sense of it and realised the 2nd option is quite simple in this day and age, and I was overthinking it and forgetting that this was a 2005 cache So I soon had some good looking coordinates!
Woke up the next morning and headed to GZ before started my trip to Ballarat. Started searching for the cache and a couple joined me, they were also geocachers but didn't know this cache was here!
Coordinates are quite off. They had me in the wrong spot and I spent about 10 minutes searching there until scrolling through the logs and reading that extending your search radius is recommended. I searched in the wrong direction at first, but finally once I started looking in the right spot something looked very out of place, and the cache was in hand! Wooohooo
What an incredible urban hide, to think this has survived since 2005 is amazing. Very worthy of a favourite point! Had a lot of fun with this cache and I was super relived to have the log signed just before I was about to give up for the 2nd time!

Had some help on this one after struggling on last visit. Nice hide and interesting cache TFTC.
Having solved this puzzle several months ago, I wasn’t able to find a hide on the day due to Muggle activity. However today was as good a day as any.

Wow, I have been waiting soooo long to have the chance to sign my name in this log, and ofcourse and most importantly see the sights of Shepparton with my honey dalerious. Covid kept getting in the way, as it does for so many of us just wanting to live our lives. Today was our day though and we took the opportunity before heading back to work. After making our way up to the top, we paused and took in the sights. I had the best view, ofcourse . Then onto finding the very clever camo hide. Loved everything about this multi. Thank you djcache for the unforgettable journey.
Staying in Shepparton for a few days with the kids and SMS83 and her kids. We hit up some unfound caches as we explored the town and ventured further afield. Thanks for the cache (BTW we all love the cows)! SMS83 came up with the goods here. Great hide - fav added.
Altitude in Flat Land: we tried for this way back in2014 when we first start to Geocache but out luck, but today on 17/01/21 it was an easy find .

Use the alternate method to receive the number due to the tower being closed. Spend 20 minutes looking around GZ on a quiet muggle free day. We both seen something not quite right and took a few attempts to retrieve the cache. Awesome camo. Tftc.
l remember trying this multi back in May 2014 while l was in town for a night but didn't seem to have my maths right, back again today with omegaman1971 and Happy Feet and it was a case of take two and again l was sure l had the same final gz as 6 years ago so l made the most of the extra sets of eyes and hands and we searched about. Being a nice quiet Saturday afternoon we had the area to ourselves and we were just about to call this one after a fruitless search around and by chance the last place l looked l spotted the well concealed hide. Great to be able to come back and attempt this one again, great views over the area also and a well constructed hide earns this one a fave point from me. Thanks djcache for the interesting multi and hide.

Away for the weekend with Happy pants and omegaman1971. We were heading to Shepparton to do some caching, in an area we hadn't been before.
Many laughs and fun were had over the time, along with a variety hides found in some different areas.
Surprisingly it was a quiet day to wander in to grabbing what was needed for this. Then it was great that Happy pants made to nice quick find, once at GZ, while no muggles were about.
Thanks djcache for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Solved the coords some time ago and have returned here many times to search for this cache. After reading a few logs and seeing that many had stated the coords were a bit out I decided to expand my search area. No success, so after the monkey I had with me had finished climbing the tower it was time to go empty handed. While walking away, I spotted something that I thought might be a chance as it looked a little different to everything else and what do you know there it was. You little beauty!!! Great multi at a tower I probably climbed for the first time 40 years ago. TFTC.
Looking at the BOM radar - I said" Lets go North to get a few caches - the weather looks finer up there! ". Maybe it was a little bit less wet up here than in Melbourne! Bunadoorian's and my 12th cache for today. We were near here and thought lets have a go as the gate was open and hopefully it won't be as wet under the cover of the observation area. Luckily information obtained and photos taken from this little known spot. Down the stairs we went and I finally find the cache some distance for my GZ calculations. TFTC and for bringing us here djcache
A very good find to Grub62 especially after the co-ordinance led us quite a distance away. A well disguised cache. TFTC.

The altitude didn't bother me with this multi it was just the bold location the cache as hiding in. Being super stealthy was the key. And the cache was not an easy find. Nice work on this as it blended in so well it had me looking for some time in a few different spots.

In Shep enjoying the early summer weather while concentrating on Multi's mainly but a few trads were scored as well a long the way. With it being the weekend we had to resort to the clue but after some googling we came up with the answer that lead us to a much better altitude for somebody with bad knees. With a couple of muggles in line of where we wanted to search we patiently waited for them to leave. Once muggle free Mr Triton felt around and had the well camouflaged cache in his hands. We signed the log and waited for another muggle to disappear before returning the cache to its home.
Thanks djcache for the excellent placement.

i enjoyed climbing the tower and the view from the platform. when i came down, i looked from the stairs where the cache might be hidden. but down on the ground it was just too muggly. an hour or so later i returned but no change. don't get me wrong, but i just don't understand the sense in caches like that, where avoiding to be seen is the main task...
We arrived at the mosaic on a Sunday and craned our necks , but we failed to locate the clock on the tower, however we used the clue and after wandering around for five minutes soon found the well disguised cache

With a last minute decision to spend the night in Shepparton, we did a quick map search to pick out a dozen or so caches to grab. Obviously, this one made the cut !! The weather wasn't too bad, even though it was cold, the rain held off. We had a blast on our lightning visit to the area. We didn't get all caches that we planned, so a return trip is in order.
Unfortunately being a Sunday, there was no access to the tower today. I would love to have made the climb and take in the views. Once at GZ I looked everywhere, trying not to arouse the suspicions of three teenagers, only metres away. After a 10 minute search, we made the call and started to head off. At the same time, so did the nearby youths. Even though where they were wasn't quite GZ, I thought I'd have a look. It was spotted in seconds... phew !! A nice piece of work, that will have many tearing there hair out. TFTC djcache

They say a change is as good as a holiday... well, while on holiday up by the river, I changed my Blood Bank appointment from its usual location to visit the lovely staff at the Shepparton branch. With that done, ZombeeFish and I took a walk, then tackled the sixteen flights to admire the view. Oh, and get a phone number.
The gentlemen doing laps had just completed their sixth climb.
At the calculated GZ, we looked first in the most likely spots in close proximity, then tried the next logical location. I should have continued that thought process, but time was running out on our parking, so we had to return. Meanwhile, the advice I'd sought came through, confirming I'd been on the right track, so...
Off for a cheeky park, grabbing a smiley in the second place I looked. D'oh so obvious it was facepalm territory when I spotted it.
Superb engineering, djcache, and a fun hide indeed, with a bonus view of town. Have another favourite point.

Found with wozzle68 while we were in Shepparton attending the annual Victorian Central Get Together event.
The tower was closed today so we used the alternative method to ascertain the co-ordinates. Being ANZAC day, there wasn't a soul around, which meant we could search and find this clever cache without hindrance. Nice hide!! We will have to come back another day to do the climb.

I do remember coming here a few years ago.

Today I returned, with +Wife and the cache was soon in hand.

It turned out that I’d found this cache myself last time I was here. I just couldn’t access it and discounted it because it was too difficult to release from its host.Today. I had The _Evil_Muggles stronger strength with me and the fiddly log was in my hand. Thank goodness that’s been found! Great cache.

So with Denali finished a little earlier than excepted we knew there was a few solved caches over this way and thought this might be the best opportunity for a while. This one caught our interest. Great views from the tower and the information was soon at hand. Some numbers were calculated checked and plotted but no result was forth coming. We saw some other tell tale signs and looked again before reverting to older logs and then widen our search to spot the hide and check the coast was clear to retrieve. A quick sign, check for muggles and then replace. TFTC.
After a long climb up and all the way down again, it took a little bit of searching to find the sneaky hide.

Found this one while on a tour of Shepparton with a local cacher. I had targeted this one before coming up here as it meets the criteria for a New Zealand challenge cache I am doing currently. The gates were locked today so an alternative method was used to work out the coordinates.
One day I will learn to trust my instincts - just not today! After working out the final, I walked up to the cache and touched the cache then had second thoughts about it. I looked everywhere else and finally came back to the original place I had been first and realised it was the cache so signed the log and returned it to its hide!
Thanks for the cache and the adventure. Photos were taken for a trig point cache as I was told this is a trig point.

While camping somewhere in the middle of Echuca and Shepparton we decided to go for a drive into town to keep the kids amused for the day and to try and escape a bit of the heat.
After collecting the required information I made my way down to gz which was thankfully quite deserted with most of the shops shut for the holidays. That was just as well because I spent quite a bit of time walking in circles before finally spotting the clever hide. Thanks for the cache djcache.

Great multi. I was out with CybergranV caching in Shepparton today. This was one of the best constructed caches I found today. I have given it a favourite point as it is such a well disguised cache and it takes you to great heights!
Visited this one a couple of days ago and climbed the tower for the info and the view. I couldn't search at gz though as there was a muggle sitting in his car right in front of me watching my every move. I came back under cover of darkness and was rewarded with not a muggle in sight. Free to search it took me about 10 minutes to make the find as my gps was out a bit and i was concentrating on the wrong place. Thanks for showing us this hidden gem and thanks for the clever cache, it gets a favourite point from me.
Was a bit difficult to get up the tower, since they were going to start construction soon. Luckily, they let us start finding it! Great cache.
What a cool idea for a cache, and a great location. Unfortunately we arrived after the gate was locked for the day, but since it was almost forty degrees perhaps it was a blessing in disguise. Deciphered the GZ coordinates and started the search. After a hint confirming we were looking at the right object just needed to move quite a few metres away we found the nice construction. TFTC

Did the number obtaining for this Multi whilst still at home in Adelaide. Came to visit a mate here in Shepparton on Sun. 16 Oct. Went to grab this cache on Monday 17 October but the co-ords were off a bit so I gave up the search due to there being a cleaner Muggle nearby. Today at 10:30 on Fri. 21 October, I widened the search somewhat and made a very stealthy find Having seen this kind of hide before made for a quick and easy retrieval and re-hide [^] Very clever and well done hide. This one had me stumped! Here with Zahleh enjoying some questionable food at the nearby food court we weren't able to climb the tower but Google was our friend in providing numbers. Our GZ was not unexpected but did not reveal the tricky hide. Reading other logs gave us the idea to look further away and we found it after 5 mins.
Interesting watching the muggles coming and going from the public toilets, but that's about the extent of muggle activity here - looks like we chose a good day!
Thanks for this great cache.

Found the phone number solved the puzzle but no luck today

Sigh. I ended up getting a hint on this one. of course when I did find it today I feel silly for not finding it on my (many!) earlier visits! A very clever hide
Pretty sure I had the right coordinates, Telstra gave me a phone number I double checked on Google.
No joy on the cache, though.
Next time.

What a day.
Met AFL legend Kevin Sheedy who signed my footy jumper and later found this cache which has eluded me since I started playing the game.[^]
I climbed the tower yonks ago and retrieved the relevant information but some how managed to get one digit wrong on my final coordinates. I only discovered this by double checking through option B and redoing the math, (I don't feel guilty about taking the "B" option as I had already been up the top and the tower was closed on a Saturday anyway).
The cache was still a little way away from where my GPS told me gz was but once retrieved, I felt an enormous sence of achievement.
TFTC djcache, this find topped off a most rewarding day.

Unfortuantely the feature was closed.
We tried calling the phone number given three times, however that didn't work for us.

Four days to spend caching is cool but what was even cooler was that Moneydork and Tounga allowed me to tag along too as they headed for Victoria Sadly, geobrother couldn't make this trip so with just us three the car was much quieter than normal
Day 2 today as we toured Shepparton, met and picked up Cybergran V, attended an event at Wakiti Creek Resort, dropped Cybergran V home again and finally returned to the hotel in Shepparton about 10.45pm [)]
Total finds today was 42 , 1 event attended and 3 DNFs however 1 of these DNFs later became a find after our second visit.
After wandering through and around shepparton, we arrived at GZ hoping to make a find there. Sadlyw e discovered that this would not work today and we are only here today before moving on tomorrow morning and then heading back to Adelaide.
I tried using the hint but after 2 calls where I was twice advised that due to high demand my calls were unable to be completed and the calls then dropped out.
Later we heard that this was an interesting cache hide but we won't be able to get back here to log it that way.
Thanks for the chance to use the hint option.
