Great HideThanks Lead 'n Lace for the cacheJames0116Saturday, 24 Aug 202411:14:17AM ACST4751
One of three caches found at the upper end of the valley in Belair National Park. I have just attended the James0016 Event, and I am accompanied by him and doineedthis.Im puzzled as to why this cache has been found recently, yet the one in the middle has been avoided for two years. James0116 found the host and I got to do the retrieve. Short arms will be a handicap here. Thanks for the hide Lead n Lace.
I sent the afternoon in and around Belair National Park, enjoying the sunshine and finding geocaches.
Warm weather so the sunscreen was on nice and thick. This was my first time geocaching inside Belair National Park so there were plenty of caches within walking distance to keep me busy.
I parked outside and took off on foot. Lots of good quality caches found. A couple required an extended search but the vast majority weee found without problems.
Thanks for the cache Lead 'n Lace.

Walking with Chookster in a beautiful setting. This one was probably my first genuine find as Chookster's much better at this than I am!
Spent some time today within the National Park enjoying our walk. There were 2 caches I hadn't done so we planned a route to nab these. This was the first of 2. A great looking, old structure. TNLN. Cheers.
Steep track down Ballast Trk from Jubilee drive. Found in 2mins nice GC. Easy access good to bottom of Ballast Trk, cross rail track and turn left for 300m, turn right down Station Trk that Meets Saddle Rd. Bikes with good brakes.
I will look for 2 other GC next visit within rail area.

This morning I headed up to Belair National Park to find a few caches. The aim was to start early, then head home again as the day got warmer.
Thanks Lead 'n Lace for the cache.
Thanks Lead 'n Lace for the cache.
Also forgot to say, thank you to whoever left the bandaids in the cache. I slipped on a wet path earlier in the day and cut my knee
An unexpected and unscripted day out geocaching on a perfect winters’ day. This was stop 8 and the second cache on a nice round trip in Belair.
I noticed the age of the cache so the decision to make the detour was quickly made. The cache was found in the logical location with the big rock kinda giving it away!

Shaun7702 found 8th April 2021. Always nice to walk to some parts of the Adelaide hills you have never been before. Going to find the travel bug a new home. Hope you can find it. T.B Number WJF BKO.
Such a quiet little spot. Found on a very rainy and foggy Sunday walk in Belair NP. Left Trackable.
I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February.
Then came Covid-19 and now caching will have to take a back seat or be socially responsible.
No more than one or two people and target caches that haven't been visited in some time.
I had a total of just 6 caches left to find in Belair National Park. Anymules had 11 caches left. So we trekked about 12 kms through the park, up hill, down hill, around hill and visited 13 so in the end we both had none left to find. Even managed a couple just outside the Park. A great day for a long, long walk in nature.
My final cache to find within the Park. It certainly was a very, very long walk to get to this one. But the cache was a quick find. Now it was a small uphill trek before for the gentle 2 kilometer walk back down to Old Government House along the Waterfall Hike. [^] Clever cache title.
***Thanks Lead 'n Lace for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

A nice walk along the track to this cache, after a short search the cache was found all in good order
This evening Davidwazza and I headed to Belair national park to find a few caches and also Knick off a high T Zythern hide.

This evening, I teamed up with [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) to find a few more geocaches in Belair National Park. We each had been here a few times before finding caches, but hadn't explored some of the more further away locations from the front gate, so those were targeted, in particular a few harder Zytheran puzzles that were more adventures than anything. A few sections were targeted, and once the light began to fade, we disappeared before the front gate was locked, and made our way into the city to attempt a FTF. It turned out that we were not first, but the field puzzle was still underway, that we were allowed to join for a five way tie. A fun Valentine's Day evening out and about.
Another nice oldie 10/2005 hidden geocache here in Belair. We managed to check a few places, but it was in a nice and logical spot. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Lead 'n Lace for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Gral4 asked me to go with her to place a cache and to do some cache maintenance today in Belair National Park and Meadows.
It was a lovely day for caching.
This was found heading back up the hill. Very aptly named.

Out for a day with Ismartis to do some caching maintenance and find a few caches along the way. It was a lovely day for caching.
Another one found by Geohubby, all in a row.

Walked from the nearby puzzle up the hill but it wasn't a strain. The heat must have killed off all the flowers since i didn't seen any on route up the hill.
Flowers everywhere today, but the Geo Family sat at the bottom of the trail, the smallest team members were not keen when they looked at the steep track, a shame really, such a pretty view but not going any further upwards today. TFTC. Happy Caching, Jacqui & Steve.
A nice walk from the NE entrance to the park on Sheoak on an unusually brisk autumn morning. Definitely will return in spring to look for those orchids. Thanks Lead 'n Lace.
Nice old cache in a nice old place.
Awesome walk with plenty of roos around for company and some wildflowers for Spring too.
Good to see an old cache that's surviving in good condition.

Beautiful spot. I really enjoyed my trip to this one. I started at sheok rd and attempted paint it black GCQD90, ok I couldn't find that one. I'm running out of daylight hours so I'm jogging some parts of the journey from there to the cache. I only had my phone which was playing up a bit but made a quick find. I will have to come back in October to see all the flowers. TFTC
Found on a winter's afternoon while wandering around in the Belair National Park.

A nice place to sit on a log and take in the surroundings. Cache found very easily - no need for a GPS! TFTC Lead 'n Lace!
That was a fun walk up from the bottom of the hill. TFTC. 29/03/2016, 15:05 Find #1954
found at 1056hrs after walking up from the railway track. Easy find, we left a few swaps as there wasn't much in the cache. Thanks Lead 'n Lace
1st out of 3 finds today,
It was a reasonably hot day only amplified by riding uphill on a bike.
Took the route from the track of Queens Jubilee Drive and had to ignore the "Access Prohibited" sign.
Found the cache easily and the down to "Hogsmead Station"

We came in from the north after going past the "Don't walk down here - you might get hit by a train" sign we made it to GZ and quickly found the cache!

Was out with my Brother in Law and while he was enjoying Blair National Park, I did some caching.
We were time limited and the closest I seem to get was 1.4Km and didn't have the time to get there and back. Still it was a nice day in the park. I will be back when time permits.

My partner in crime and I were foolish enough to approach this one from a higher altitude. We thought we were heading along a small path that had been worn in by previous geocachers. We were too far along before we realised that we were wrong. We eventually arrived at the train line scratched and battered and rolled our eyes when we discovered that there is a well engineered footpath leading up to the cache. Well, at least we found it (eventually). TFTC Lead 'n Lace.
Found it while waiting for the scouts to hike through Belair National park. Nice spot. Thanks for the cache.
We got within 45 m of this one with 4 tired boys, too steep for this time of day, we will be back. Great walk though.
A great morning of walking and caching thru the park. I ignored the sign at the top of the track...!!! Third of four finds. Lovely quiet spot (until the train went by...!!!)

After trekking all the way around the park from the western car park today, the strain was starting to take its toll. Second-last for the day. TFTC Lead n Lace.
I went out early as I wanted to get 5 caches in the Belair National Park before it got too hot. I came to this one from trails that started on Sheoak Rd. It was a nice quick find and then down the hill to find the next one. TFTC.
Followed the line from Hogsmead, took the gentle climb up the track to arrive at GZ. The title made immediate sense once I got there and had no trouble in locating cache.
Thanks for the cache, Lead'n Lace.

After a peaceful walk up here with the geodogs I quickly located the cache. Yet again this is another area I didn't know existed. Dropped off a TB. The dogs were proud of climbing the hill and finding the cache so I thought I'd take a photo of them with the cache.TFTC. I love this area!
Mr Tardis was on a bike riding adventure in the park today. Although I walked down the track to this cache, because I didn't fancy pushing the bike back up the track!
The name of the cache makes sense now that I've visited GZ. It was nice and quiet in this part of the park being so cold and wet, there were very few muggles about.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Lead 'n Lace.

Found by D and B2.
It was a warm day and only D and Bs 2 and 3 went for this one!
Came in from the top, pretty easy really, a little climb to get back out but good exercise.

Found this one by accident when in the area slashing the fire track that Leeds to that location.I had stopped to take a important brake and stumbled on it by chance thinking a grate spot for a cache filled log took nothing left nothing.
Bashed my way up from the train tracks, I've done worse bashes I guess. Nice to have an easy find after a few DNFs

I took the direct route from the valley floor for this one (can't say I recommend it!) to get to the GZ.

Walking along, I stopped about 15 metres from this one, thinking there would probably be a cache there.. Checked my phone and discovered there really was an easy find with sneaky on a 4 hour soggy walk today, tftc
Ahhh, more clues that make sense after you've found the cache. Found after a short hunt. Cheers Lead 'n Lace.
Wow. I'm bad at this logging thing. Only just remembered I did this one over a year ago, haha. TFTF
Found around 3:00pm. Quite cold day, GPS got a little spotty. Took nothing, put in a plastic seal. Replaced dying pen with pencil & sharpener.
Slowly trying to clean out the park, and this was a good finish for the day. The walk was actually quite enjoyable, and got great views because the weather was really good. TFTC.
