Having got a message from Bob previously about sending needs maintenance when I didn't find it, I thought about not doing it, but going by the last couple of logs and and the lack of hiding spots, I think it is gone and if it is buried in the stump then it is out of reach and needs maintenance anyway. But the poking of sticks indicated their was nothing further down.
Mother Hubbard's cupboard is bare. Found the hide - the signs of human activity are unmistakable, but no cache. Did a thorough search of the surrounding area and found some really great places this could be hidden but still came up empty. I suspect the muggles have been. If no-one finds this in the next week or so it should be logged as "needs maintenance". Thanks for the walk though.
Great little bush area but didn't find the cache.perhaps the most obvious spot excluded me from looking anywhere else.
Had a 15 minute search around this evening about 5pm with my son, but all we ran into was spider webs. The GPS was a little confused due to the tree cover, so we'll try again another time.
Found @ 1842. Took a while to find where to park car and get into the area. Great area and good hide. Log a bit damp but still OK. SL TNLN TFTC

This was a great cache as it took me through a park I sort of knew was there but never ever went through it in the 12 years I have been in the Ringwood area. May be agreat place to fly rc helicopters.
Contents were a bit damp from recent rains but tried to dry out ziplock bag and ensure it was well sealed. Found at 4:35pm. TNLN.

It was like every retired local and there dog were at the park today. Said a few 'morning's and 'hello's as I mademy way across the open area to GZ. Had to wait a couple of minutes at GZ as a few muggles joggers were making there way around the track, but once the coast was clear it was a quick find. TB dropp as well. Thanks for the hide.
Couldn't find it looked for a long time so went back home, will be back another day.
Clearing out our 10km radius traditionals this morning. Probably came at thus from the wrong direction, but great coords led us straight to gz for a quick find. TFTC Geodes.
I'd had a look at this cache during a night-run a month or so ago but we couldn't find the right access due to some dodgy navigation on my part - Daylight and a map made it much easier this time as Happy Chappies' alpha male and beta female made the trip here today. Delightful, quiet park and a pleasant little walk to GZ. It's so nice to be out in summer and see thick lush green grass rather than the brown hay we've come to accept!
At GZ the hide was quickly spotted and cache retrieved and signed. TNLNSL. Internals are a little damp, including the logbook, but still manageable.

I've always found this warren of backstreets very hard to navigate, and my lack of internal compass in this area was mirrored by my GPS, which couldn't find GZ. After a few minutes of jumping around all over the place and geopup getting bored, we started looking in all the obvious spots. After a couple of red herrings, there it was!
TNLN SL, Thanks for the cache.

When I found this cache today it was completely uncovered and the logbook was damp, so I placed the log into a new plastic ziploc bag before putting the cache back in its hiding spot with slightly better covering.

While our daughter reluctantly participated in school sports at Yarra Valley GS, we did a few caches nearby. It was a beautiful day for it, and the birds were in full voice. On the way back we noticed some dogs having a 'meet and great' in the park area. It was so nice here, thanks for the cache.

An easy find at 17:15 after a short walk through this very pleasant park. Thanks geodes for giving me a reason to stop here after having gone past it many times. TNLNSL TFTC
A few wrong turns driving here but soon enough found the park. A short stroll had me at GZ, but 2 lots of casual walkers from either direction saw me procrastinate around the area until all clear. The wonders of looking busy reading a pretend text!
Was it just me or was this log book full, and full from a fair while ago? Signed anyhow and was on my way.

After a trip to Croydon this afternoon, the dog & I had the opportunity to try for a few caches in the Ringwood/Park Orchards locale. First on the list was Mother Hubbard. We found a likely parking spot then wandered into the Reserve, enjoying the fresh, peaceful bush that had just enjoyed the weekend rain. We huffed up the short hill then rolled down the other side to the GZ where the cache was quickly spotted at 16:45. Sure enough, as per the nursery rhyme, there was no bone in the cupboard - poor Jeffrey!
A nice little reserve - thanks for bringing me here Geodes.

Found 18/10/09 at 4.20pm, cache 2 of 2 today!
We went in the wrong way (as usual) with this one - And had to use some "beaten in" trails, rather than the pathway... But we got there, and had to scale some fences... (sigh)
When we got to the GZ, there were about 3 places we could look for the cache, and it was in the first place we looked... Hubby was peeved that I pretended I hadn't seen the cache so that he could claim that he found it first! Can't win!!!
Took 50 Euro cents, left pirate gold, SL, TFTC!

Ahh. A serene walk through the parklands. This is a great cache for that. There were a few dogs over the fences, and one who actually leapt over the back fence and started barking like mad as we approached GZ. Took me a little by surprise and gave me a little bit of panic. I don't like barking, woofing, biting things.
Nevertheless the cache was found in the most obvious location and it was a nice stroll back to the car.
Took nothing, left nothing.

My car-nav had me all over the streets in this neighborhood while I tried to navigate my way to an entrance to the parkland. I had no idea where I was, and having not come prepared for night caching, and having only portable electronic devices to illuminate my way, I did it quite hard here tonight! I managed to negotiate my way along the paths and eventually arrived at GZ, where luckily I found the cache in a logical hiding place. TNLN & SL at 9:30pm. I can’t comment on how pleasant the surroundings were because I didn’t get to see much of them! Thanks again Geodes for the cache – my experience here tonight re-enforced the importance of creating waypoints at track junctions so that one can navigate their way out again!
Bit of driving around till we found the way in for this one. Still not sure we found the easiest way in - it was an incredibly steep climb for the first part, then a bit easier after that.

Great Cache and enjoyed your comments on where it was located. We enjoyed the walk just after a light rain. We took nothing out and put nothing in. It was our third find Thanks heaps. By the way the second log book is nearly full.
Tried to find this one last night but were defeated by darkness, so we returned this morning and after some searching found it. How exciting to find a geocache we could walk to from home!

After a loop through the western Ringwood area close to the Eastlink tunnel works, we found a quiet park that gave a pleasant walk and a quick find. A muggle or two exercising dogs so TNLNSL.
While househunting in Ringwood North yesterday, the condition of the day was that if any cachees sprung up as nearby in TomTom, they just had to be done (within reason)!
So this was a short stroll from the other side of the park after trying to work out where the closest access point to the area. A nice quick find with very accurate coordinates.
