Well this explains why we could not find this yesterday! We must have looked absoultely everywhere, getting more frustrated that we were beaten by it....little did we know it was gone
All was not lost as we would never have known about the great walking track we visited. thanks

Fortunately we found this cache just before it was archived, pity because it was at a beautiful location! TFTC!
Now we are on our way to Piha and then sleeping over at Muriwai. TFTC!

A big thank you to all the geocache owners for being our “tour guides” in New Zealand while we are on our short holiday visit to this extraordinarily beautiful country! We traveled the North Island in our little camper van and we came across minimal damaged caches and we only had very few DNF’s.
"Groete" all the way from South Africa!

Great little walk down to cache and soon found...Beautiful tranquil spot...walk back up however was a little more challenging...nice one overall though...
cheers V.

A peaceful spot. Glad to see the steps up to the top carpark have been replaced, makes it a lot safer in the rain. TFTC.
Loved the hint for this one. Walking down was the easy bit, walking back up was the chore.

Came in from the top carpark so it was an easy downhill = a steady uphill on the way back. Cache was visible from the track as the original container has been placed inside a larger container, so covered it as much as possible. Logbook is close to full. TFTC
Found some months ago with Titirangi hunters, found with help of past comments as we don't use GPS, nice walk!
Should of read the name of this cache more carefully. Started looking for it at dusk...easy to find in daylight a little more tricky in the semi dark without a torch. Thanks for the adventure.

A lovely spot especially if the waterfall is in full flow, it wasn't today. Though I suspect that there may be glow worms at night. A bit dodgy on those steps in the dark though. The cache was easily found too.
Whoa second big climb in 10 mins think my mountain goat knackered then I got all muddy fighting the troll. Tftc
Out in the bush!! Love it! The dynamic duo strike again!

Found with Scenic Searchers, great walk and easy find once we got the right GZ. TFTC
Couldn't have done it without Joan! Beautiful - loved the walk and waterfall
Lovely place for a cache ! Picked it up after my Sunday walk with the Titirangi Walkers ......Shame I didn't have camera on me to take photo of waterfall .....
Log book almost full. It has been filled by random people who have stumbled across it writing stupid comments. At least they have not stolen it!!
Thanks so much for bringing me to this lovely spot practically in my backyard and I never knew! I probably wouldn't have gone way down if not for the hint in the last log xD
Spotted the blue from quite high up the track so covered it up a bit more. TFTC!

Don't stop at Joan's first rest, continue on to her second, much better spot! TFTC
There was a TB in here from Grandad8 which he has logged at the wrong cache, have moved TB on and will rectify.

2.25pm. Along a gem of a forest walk. A straightforward find once we had chatted with Joan. Left a tb and a pathtag.

Tftc log book was a bit damp so dropped some silica in, left googly eye and ezyauctionz.co.nz fridge magnet.
Last cache for the day onthe way home fromthe Whatipu campout event. Legs were very tired after the 20k hike the day before, so it was a slow walk backup to car.
Beautiful spot, thanks for bringing me, I love the bush too! TFTC

Went to search for a few caches after dinner. Step climd down but a beautiful spot. Thanks Dad for finding the cache. TFTC.
I remember having a go at this cache on one of my firsts visits to Auckland after I started caching. Didn't have much luck finding it then but I was back in the area today and so decided to have another go. What a difference a few thousand caches makes! Straight to it this time. Beaut spot for it too. TFTC, Biggles.
Oh my goodness. This place was filled with muggles, whose dogs seemed to like the water near GZ. I sent Master Dean to retrieve, but we had to wait ages for muggles to leave before we could replace. What a neat spot so close to the city. Master Dean enjoyed seeing a wood pigeon and fat looking blackbirds. TFTC
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We decided to spend the day knocking off a few more caches out west.
After collecting the caches along the NW motorway cycleway, we headed out to New Lynn then on to Titirangi, collecting some caches along the way.
A nice walk through the bush to GZ, where the cache was quickly found.
Smurf TB out.

Very pleasant bush track. Previous logs and clue a great help as GPS did not like the tree cover! TFTC
Took two goes. Joan would have seen the billy goats too from her seat. Great stash. Took geocoin, left TB, SL, TSLS.
Awesome track walk here. Loved the zig zag and running through the tracks. The ladies waited for me in the car as it was started to shower lightly! I got to this awesome spot but then realized that I left the phone in the car, so could not take any pictures of that waterfall! Anyways nice hide for the cache and wondered what the hint meant, until I got there, loved it!

Tried to do a quick find with wee ones. Not to be. Will try at night next time in Auckland.
Also distracted by first Joan... Great walk and hope to come back one night:) left a trackable from Aussie.
Got distracted by Joan the First despite no obvious signs of trolls but persevered and found the GC with a little help with from the dogs as the light faded quickly. TFTC.
TFTC through the beautiful bush with Tui bird sounds to accompany us. We also enjoyed the additional sights of Titirangi soldiers memorial close by.
After the great 11/11/11 event, I couldn't resist doing one more before I made my way home and being just north of Titirangi this seemed like a great choice! The area was deserted and I had a nice walk down to GZ. The cache was a nice easy find, and even though there was a full moon tonight I was still able to shut off the flashlight and enjoy the view. This is a really great spot. TFTC!
Long overdue maintenance visit - first time with sufficient time between flights to get out to Titirangi for many a long month. Swapped in a new log book and upgraded the cache to container-in-container. Retrieved a TB while at it.
What a surprise to find such a lovely spot so close to Titirangi centre. Easy find. TFTC
Sought out by Joe Possum's Kiwi Family as a temporary home for TB Smiley Pirate after crossing the Tasman Sea (albeit by air)in pursuit of his objective to travel the high seas.
Sweet cache, was a bit wet inside. watch out for the tree outstretched going up sum stairs, my mate nailed his head on a huge branch. was fricken hillarious but still dangerous lol.cha chur..
This was so much fun, like an actual Treasure Hunt! The clue is pretty much all you need, We went at night with Torches, was kinda freaky but all the more fun. Don't Slip
Our first GC in NZ! Wonderfull track, zigzag trough te forrest. have been looking a while but than found is in a nice place. Log needs maintenance, is realy damped... TfTc Team Roedeer from the Netherlands.
A really lovely walk that we had never done before. Thanks for showing us a new beautiful spot. TFTC.
Easy find after coords updated. Gps signal not the best and track very wet. Getting almost dark here at 5.30 pm even with day light saving still upon us. Loved the clue.

Went with Eyretle after dark to see the glow worms, shame I too walked into the tree. Also right Joan wrong troll but found it in the end after going further down the track. TFTC
Great cache love the clue. How many Joans on one path?? Polly got caught out by that tree too!

Great bit of bush and a nice little stroll to GZ. I managed to walk into a tree but survived to find the cache. Thanks for this cache.
The coordinates for this cache are well off. This has been stated by numerous posters. The cache owner needs to go back and take a new reading.
As everyone has said before the coords are well off. Despite having fairly good accuracy it was over 30m off. We would have never found it without the hint and even then we were going to give up. This is a real shame as if the coords were good this would be a great cache as it's a really good clue and a great hide.

Had parked at Lopdell House so earned the terrain. A most enjoyable track and pretty waterfall after the rain. NINO TFTC
