I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi BuckoBoys
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Only had a quick look, but like previous post looks like recent flood activity may have destroyed it
With 2.25 people searching (there were 3 of us, but one was a very unenthusiastic 12yr old) We couldn't find this cache here this morning.
Searched all hint items in and around the vicinity pretty thoroughly
Lots of evidence of recent flooding almost to the top of the logs.

quick find but unfortunately water had got in the box and has wrecked the log book and note:(
This cache seems to have survived a flood, and though there was plenty of water inside, the logbook is dry. A quick dash from the car in between showers. TFTC
Couldn't locate today, as above, lots of evidence of flood damage, so a wash out I think
Did not find. Potentially was washed away due to recent flooding in the area. Looking at hint plus previous log entries feel we should have found but notice bored has also been washed away also. Still was a fun adventure with the family

Last unfound cache at Okains!
There's a Victoria park in every decent town in NZ, eh?
Seems like a real nice and serene spot for picnicing. Unfortunately, we had to make it back to Chch, so no picnic, not this time...
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks, BuckoBoys!

What a neat little park that we would not have found without a cache being here soon found the cache - log signed as SONO - my husband's caching name initials (Stretch0) and mine - thanks for bringing us here and the cache
Quicker find than expected, great little park we would have never seen if it hadn't been for geocaching. Signed as SoNo ( Stretch0 & Niteowlnz ). Thanks for the cache.
What a great little place with a surprising name. We both looked here at the very obvious hint for a long time and realised it was gone. Managed to put together a replacement cache with waterproof log paper as wouldn't like to loose this fun location. Trust this is ok with the CO. Thanks for the cache BuckoBoys.
I have a week of geocaching around Banks Peninsular, currently spending 3 days at the Okains Bay Campground.
Today was a gentle combo bike ride/walk to check out the sights and grab a few caches.
I spent a lot of time hunting around for this. My GPS wouldn't settle down, but the hint object is obvious. Just wasnt my day to find this.
Ah well, I got 5 out of 6 today, and had a pleasant outing.

Quickly found on a caching expedition to Okains Bay. A delightful little reserve. TFTC!
Found while out and about with TharntheHalken and sketching muggle. Container found out in the open. Signed and returned to cover. Log all good, but could do with a new inner bag. Tftc!
Have been to the beach for a swim and looked for this one on the way to Akaroa. Took a few minutes but all good found with storm. TFTH
After we had visited the Maori museum we came here. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have found this park if the cache didn't exist.
We had to search for a while, then my Lottikind discovered the box.

#266 quick find on our way from the weekend trip. Never noticed there was a little park here. Nice little place. Tftc
Grabbed this cache today with the cruise ship gang today. Signed as NZGA 2019.
We had come to Akaroa early and left early, so with some spare time it was time to visit Okains Bay. 20 years I've been in Canterbury and I've never visited the place. Shame. Quite a nice valley and bigger than I had imagined. Nice quick find since the foliage has had a prune, should be good again soon. Cheers
Had never been to Akaroa, so when the chance presented itself, Mr and Mrs EU went for a drive. A great day, some nice caches, and some great views. TFTC

During our holiday in New Zealand we have visited both the North and the South Island. We saw a lot of highlights of this beautiful country, but there is so much more to see. So many highlights, so many caches! The geocaches showed us a lot of special and interesting places. Sometimes a quick find, sometimes we had to search longer. A few DNF's, but that doesn't matter. We loved New Zealand and we hope to come back some day!
Today we have found the cache "Another Victoria Park, Okains Bay (Canterbury)".
BuckoBoys, thanks for creating and maintaining this cache!

Lovely little spot. The clue was a bit off-putting as it was directing us away from where the gps wanted us to be. Hint: stay with the gps and forget some of the wording in the hint. tftc
Found on a short walk from the nearby Okains Maori museum. Nice rest place in the shade and with a river close by. Good spot for a little picnic. TFTC!
Haven’t had much luck finding in chch so great to get your one, thanks and Merry Xmas
Today we made a trip over the Peninsula, beginning in Littleton, then Governors Bay, Diamond Harbour, Port Levy, Pigeon Bay, Okains Bay, Robinson Bay, Arakoa, and then back to Christchurch in order to see that many sightseeing points along the road. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches, too. The weather was beautiful, sunny, very warm, a little bit cloudy, and only sometimes there was some wind.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had to drive their cars on the not too easy roads on the Peninsula.
Thanks to BuckoBoys for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Another Victoria Park, Okains Bay (Canterbury). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Mrs Rincewind is away in Napier for a few days and I had to get Rincewind Jr back to Wainui by 9am. With the rest of the day free what was I to do? Go caching of course! This was one of 37 finds for the day (& a couple of DNFs )
My phone was insisting on a stand of trees on the wrong side of the river at first. The joys of offline caching.
I wandered over to the park anyway and by the time I'd read the hint and spotted the hint item my phone had caught up.
I soon found the cache and signed the mouldy log. The cache container had water inside and the bag is ripped, so the log had no chance. Unfortunately I wasn't carrying supplies to effect repairs.

A quick find when you got the right angle! Nosynel spotted it first. Thanks for the hide!
It's a beautiful autumn day in the school holidays. Luckily I had been invited to cache with Jude_E and Busy paws. We are driving around the peninsula.
How did I miss that one last time.

What a fantastic size!! Caching with Jude E and Nosynel around a couple of penninsular bays. Enjoyed this little reserve. TFTH
It took a wee while to spot this cache, despite its size, and its being clearly visible when approaching from one direction The hint object is well covered these days. TFTC
Queen Vic really has many things named after her across the Old British Empire and even this little corner of NZ didn’t escape her attention. We parked on the other side of the old bridge and I was misled to search there too, but I came to my senses and crossed the river to the right location and found the cache promptly after that. TFTC’
Headed out on a Mad Monday Mission with TG to see if we could snag the unlogged EC in Okains Bay. Such a lovely evening. We did all the back roads around to snag a few of the 'out of the way' caches for me, TG had already scored those. Home at a reasonable hour too!
Stopped by here on the way down to the beach. Took a bit to locate as I was expecting it to be under and there it was on top!
Thanks for the cache BuckoBoys.

We had the great chance to travel around New Zealand during six weeks and were able to see wonderful cities, landscapes and meet nice Kiwis. While staying in NZ many cache owners gave us the opportunity to search for very well hidden treasures and we thank them very much for preparing and maintaining them.

Visiting from Brisbane with Slow Puncture for the Oamaru Geofest, and we're seeing all the wonderful sights the South Island has to offer as we travel along. Day 6: An early start as we ventured out of Christchurch towards the mesmerisingly beautiful l hills lakes and coastline of the Banks Peninsula before heading back to the airport to catch our flight home. It's fair to say I've never taken so many photos in a single area in ny life than I took around here, the scenery is breathtaking!
Thanks for the hunt **BuckoBoys**, this find makes #4435. Discover our TB

Wednesday. Slow Puncture has teamed up with Orange Crew to make a Moreton Bay assault on the Oamaru Geofest. Day Six saw us travel from Christchurch out to the East for some sightseeing (absolutely stunning scenery) and caching before returning to the Airport and heading home for Brisbane. Found our way over the quaint bridge, stopped and entered the park. SP found the container whilst OC's compass was leading him astray!
This was the 13th of 18 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***BuckoBoys***, for showing us this place.

Mum and me had a day to go caching - baby was with hubby, so no hold ups - just lots of caches was the plan for the day!!! And luckily we mainly succeeded in getting quite a few off the map! I think the final count was about 40, which is decent given that big days are getting tougher & tougher with the ones near home being pretty spaced out!
Nice to find another piece of history!
TFTC!!

Out for a day's caching with daughter, never mind the freezing temperatures at the early start, icy roads, and a bit of precipitation that did not promise a very nice day! It even got sunny at certain points during the day [^] We had great fun and visited some amazing spots in the process!!! Thanks to all CO's for placing great caches for us to find!!!
With Toby on board but not talking to Zara yet - we head to Banks Peninsula to explore. Its Sunday, so lets go exploring, we park Zara up and we are off in Toby, with the Seagnoid as navigator/ stop-go man.
Lovely little park with a great size container. Cheers

Going to Ashburton with TaybeeDragon to pick up a car and spent the long weekend exploring, one box at a time. And now that we have collected Toby let's try him out on the back roads around Akaroa.
Looks like somewhere is going to be closed tomorrow, Waitangi day, with a $10 entry. Not sure where, but I am glad we are here today. The cache was a surprisingly easy find. Nice and big , too. Dropped in an emerald, an amethyst and a path tag.

Nice spot. Found Saturday but no phone coverage so waited to log once we reached Akaroa. Cache contents wet. Replaced with fresh dry paper.
This looked like it had been under flood water with a wet log and contents and silt covered container. Dried inside of container and replaced log with a new one, hopefully above flood level at the same spot. Note the container is split on the bottom and needs replacing too.
On Tour together with Sabe73 as Team "TheBros" around South Island to visit some nice spots.
We also visited this location and could find the box almost quickly.
Thank you for showing us this place and of course for the Cache.

Another stop on the way around a few of the bays on the peninsula. We had found a few caches in Victoria park in ChCh the week before a much bigger park but not as pretty as this one and a great location for a cache. Found the cache okay which was very wet but managed a sign on another sheet of paper that had been left. Collected a nice bag full of walnuts as we left.
Found it! Today we drove around Banks Peninsula visiting hill tops and hidden bays and we found a few caches along the way! This was one of them. Muggle Heather found this one. Think she may not be a Muggle anymore! TFTC SL Cheers from Pippin69 & the Travelling Muggles from Melbourne!
This cache is very wet inside and needs attention. Just visiting here from Australia TFTC
A nice quick find in a lovely park. Cache no 5. Log very wet but logged our find on a temporary log. TFTC
Looking at the silt on the lid and the flood debris in the area, this hide has been flooded. Dropped off a waterproof sheet as a temporary log. TFTC
I wondered how a Sistema container can let in this much water, then saw the cracks I the sides. Judging by the thickness of mud on the lid, it seems there are times when it gets submerged. T4TC - M@
I came over the hill from Chorlton, really hadn't intended to head this way today so I didn't have any supplies with me - the log book is saturated, unfortunately.
If anyone is heading this way from town, it'd be a good idea to take a replacement log.
I really didn't believe the Nuvi when it told me to stay on the W side of the river- but I followed its instructions, anyway - and came to this lovely little park.
Clear evidence of recent flooding. TFTC.

Found it while out on a day trip to Akaroa via the Summit Rd and Okains Bay. “Oh dear” when I retrieved the cache which was covered in river silt, opened it up I had to empty out all the water, with all that rain we have had, appears that the water levels got up and over the level of the GC hide recently . Had the GZ to myself no one to notice what 1eyednbf (1 eyed and proud of it) was up to, quick easy find, TFTc “Lest We Forget”
TFTC, the one day we visit Okain's bay is the one day in probably 30 years the general store is closed, so had to carry on to Akaroa to get a drink! Lovely area though, we will be back.
There have been floodwaters through here. Hard to say whether the log has been moved but we couldn't find the cache.
Found this wet Box quickly. But their was bad weather the Last 3 days so the Box was Full of Water. mattpower
Enjoyed the location (- spectacular views on the way from Akaroa!). Unfortunately the cache contents had got wet so I was unable to sign (soaked) log. Was the cache supposed to be located above ground level? Found it at ground level and returned it there.
Found it, very waterlogged though. Took "scruffy" to continue on his travels ....
I had a good look round in all the obvious places, maybe I will bring my extra set of eyes next time.

Hello Mrs, sharkiefan & MacPacMum had been away for the weekend exploring Banks Peninsular and we were nearing the end of the trip as we dropped down into Okains Bay. Found a homemade fishing spear sitting over the cache area that had signs of recent flooding but the contents of the cache were still dry. Sharkiefan made the find and dropped off Scruffy the wandering pooch TB to roll in the mud and run around the park as he was sick of being cooped up in the cachemobile.
Found during a caching weekend in the Akaroa Area with Sharkiefan and macpacmum. A quick find by team members saved me the effort of climbing over the barrier. TFTC
