Lovely bush track, with beautiful grass trees lining the track. Only did the short circuit today as muggle partner has a very sore back. Made a quick find while he waited at the fork in the track. Thanks for the cache Sikma.
Spending the day geocaching down on the Mornington Peninsula. Mostly targeting FTFs and old geocaches and any others that I seem to be driving near. One day, I might walk the entire 2 bays trail. A number of our friends run the Two Bays Rail Trail event each year. Maybe I'll have to join them, but I guess it would mean less geocaching and less enjoying the environment. Thanks for the cache, Sikma.Hunter
After a lot of looking we found it! Much needed for my ausmer since I didnt have many alternatives Thanks for the adventure
Found with Bogonghazy whilst holidaying in the area. Thanks for placing the geocache
Found with LittleBoss2 on a day exploring all the bush trails, and caches. Thanks for placing, loved the walk in. Sadly we walked past a dead baby tiger snake on the track. Hopefully it wasn't caused by humans.
Didnt want to go poking around too much. Looked in the usual places but couldnt see it
This Golden oldie cache has been on my list for a while, so while out walking the 2 bays track today, l took the long detour while my muggle friend continued. My detour came to a temporary halt when i stumbled across a snake on the path. Do you think it would move? I threw sticks at it. I bashed my walking sticks really loudly at it. Hell, I even yelled at it and told it to move along. Eventually, it grew tired of my antics and slithered into the underbrush.. did trying to locate this cache make me nervous hell yes but I wasn't going to let the snake detour me. Lucky it was a swift find after circling gz twice.
I have been slowly working on trying to qualify for [atsmug's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=353a2e8b-5904-474e-90ad-d2fabca356a5&wid=6bf98b06-d536-45ac-91bf-cd21d5b90511&ds=2) [AUSmer Challenge (GC6XVTD)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6XVTD).
So when I **FINALLY** got off work on time today and with the new [Wheel of Challenges Challenge](https://www.geocaching.com/live/campaign/wheelofchallenges) being all about getting "Out and About," I figured today would be the perfect day to drive down and collect some of the [2022 Victorian COTYA Nominee caches](https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists/BMC8QYR?sort=name&sortOrder=asc&skip=0&take=20) as well as some caches that would fill in some of my missing months, including this one.
So after finding [MissAdventure3's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=d466971a-4d9c-4865-9752-c000e9588731&wid=f7ae873c-3bdb-4f0d-95ae-136e5f828c1e&ds=2) [Better Late Than Never](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9M5FM) traditional cache. I started looking up caches in [project-gc](https://project-gc.com/Tools/MapHiddenMonth) to see what caches could fill in one of my missing months.
So when I saw that this cache was hidden in April 2006, I knew I had to stop to find it.
This cache is hidden in such an amazing location. I absolutely loved walking through [Greens Bush](https://www.parks.vic.gov.au/places-to-see/sites/greens-bush-access---greens-road). It was caches like this that made me fall in love with geocaching in the first place. Exploring new places, enjoying walks in nature. Just perfection.
I feel like places like these are therapeutic. It was such a stressful week at work, but within the first few minutes of my walk through the park I could just feel my stress melt away.
Based on the name of the cache I had a hunch of the beacon that awaited me at GZ. However once I arrived at GZ I didn't know where to start. There were a few more beacons than I expected.
However, I slowly and systematically worked my way around to each of the beacons, until finally the cache was in in hand.
A huge thanks goes out to [Sikma](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=7f981b2d-563b-4397-afdf-6d89b497c9b9&wid=5a1dcccb-15aa-4b69-a1f3-f9f7f05b935f&ds=2) for bringing me to such a beautiful area. It was so great to find your cache today. TFTC.

I have been Geocaching for the last year as part of team Dromaniax. We have enjoyed the Geocaching caching around a lot of Victoria in that time. From our first trip up to the Murray River, the next trip to Lake Eildon and the area around Buxton, an epic trip to the Little Desert to attack the This is SA series, then a great trip with our father to the High Country in Victoria, a trip to the Mornington Peninsula and a trip to the Albury-Hume Reservoir area.
I finally decided to set up my own account and am claiming all the caches I have found as part of Dromaniax.
Thank you for this Traditional cache Sikma

Out and about down on the Peninsula today and this was a place we hadn't been before. With l the rain the path in was flooded in some places so had to pick our trail wisely!
Eventually made it to the listed coordinates and after the GPS stopped voicing around found a likely spot and sure enough! TFTC

Targeted this one to get me one step closer to atsmug's AUSmer challenge - 12 to go. Nice and quiet here today. Thanks Sikma
Mr Dromaniax's and his muggle brother were off for a couple of days of camping and geocaching on the Mornington Peninsula.
After a great nights caching last night, getting back to camp around 1am, we decided to head off early and grab a few caches before muggle brother's appointment.
The ground on the Mornington is wet. Very wet. It seems that there has been sufficient rain this year that the ground is holding the maximum amount of water it can and when you have additional rain it either sits on the surface or starts moving down hill.
We spotted this cache on the map and were in the mood for a bit of a walk in the buch.
As we were searching near GZ, I called out that I thought I had found it and a couple of muggles nearby thought we were talking about orchids, as that is what the were looking for.
We found the cache in excellent condition.

Quite a stroll from the car park but we found the well worn track pretty good. Not too much huffing and puffing.
On a beautiful winters day out for a walk and decided to pick up the cache on the way nice hide thanks for placing this cache
Good hiding place! But no pencil or items inside! Will bring items next time. Thanks for the cache, best Wenn Family

Out on this fine Sunday day to grab some caches out around the peninsula before heading to a Christmas Eve Dinner with my family. Crossing off some new ones that had popped up since I had moved away from Rosebud and collecting some old ones I could never make it out to in the past. All in all I had a great day out and only got a little bit sunburnt, thanks for the cache and the adventure.

We finally found this one, took the kids out for a night hunt and lost the pen in the dark so we couldn’t sign. Took a pic instead tftc
The cache has been replaced after going missing. This time with a small container. Please do not disturb the vegetation. For 14 years this spot kept the cache nice and dry. Since my last visit it looks like the area has been turned upside down. There is no need!
What a shame. It would appear to be gone based on the last couple of posts. Another cache of mine in the area appears to have gone as well so maybe they were targeted by Parks? I'm not sure whether to replace or not. I will go out for a look soon. For anyone interested I took a couple of photos while I was out here last doing maintenance. Attached is a photo of the FTF log by dak's Emu Mob and the nice dry little hide.
I think the park ranger has taken it when placing poison fox baits near the box.
Had a big look. Searched about 10 Balga. There’s a few great spots it could have been. But DNF. The walk was well worth the trip. Good luck.
Just found it, was a little tricky to find but worth the hunt! Can’t believe it’s been here for so long! It’s a treasure!
Beautiful walk. Once you come closer to the site, a bit of bush walking is necessary. What an exciting hunt.
Tricky to find as coordinates a bit off. Read description for clues and found it eventually after a bit of bush bashing!
Yay, that was Sam's first find ever!
On our way to the two bays track today for a mums only hike
Had to search several black boys before finding the cache. Tftc !

Passing nearby between jobs and with a little time to walk to this cache on a nice day..
Well, I refused to believe that this had gone missing after my previous DNF and I nearly walked away this second time round without a find as well. It certainly took some hunting and the GPS coverage wasn't cooperating even for a clear day. I searched through around half a dozen of these shrubs until I spotted the cache and I did check the same one the first time round.
The cache could probably use some maintenance as the container has deteriorated and the log book is quite full, but otherwise is okay. Such beautiful bushland. Thanks for bringing me out here again!

First DNF log for this cache listing after 13 years! How about that? With a couple of sets of eyes, the GPS had me within 5 metres at one point. A few geo trails were certainly evident. Had a good look around quite a few of the grass trees, but unfortunately just didn't find what I was looking for. Enjoyed the walk around the circuit. I will return. Thanks Sikma.
The beginning of my very busy day was started with a short walk through Greens Bush. I love xanthorrhoea and I think that they have lots of character and make interesting subjects for photographic study.
The cache was found in an obvious place after I did a bit of searching around where my GPS was pointing.
Thank you Sikma for this cache.

This twilight Jasmer hunt was an unexpected delight.
It was a beautiful (and much needed) bushland wander after my stressful weekend.
The sounds of the same and evening bird calls soothed my soul.
I got to GZ easily enough but confess to getting a little disorientated in the growing gloom and maze of unique foliage. But the venerable prize was soon discovered.
Thanks so much, Sikma. This was a wonderful location to come visit.
All is in order with the cache.

I found this on my walk around he short track. I'll be back to do some more later. These were some impressive grass trees.
Bit tricky coz the GPS kept jumping but still lots of fun!! Beautiful location tftc
We have just found our first geocache at Easter !! Further off our track than expected, under a black boy plant.
Found it. First geocache for a while. Nice to find. A bit of bracken to get through. TFTC.

I was wondering were to go this morning and I eventually decided to come down here to Cape Schanck and this lovely national park that I have been into once near the main road for one other cache once.
Last year the Double Calendar Challenge was published so I set about filling in about 80 or so days that I didn't have for the second round of my calendar and finished it a couple of months ago so I thought I should make this trip and finally gather the challenge and the other caches in this park so I finally made a decision and headed down here.
I had no problem finding every one of the 15 that I looked for which I was pretty happy about. On my route around a lot of the park I only spotted one jogger and 2 bush walkers.
Thanks Sikma for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Tftc! We were on yet another bush walk down the peninsula which means more caching.
What turned out to be my last targeted cache for the day. I had driven around from Greens Rd. and the cache located off the walking track on the advice of the CO. Unfortunately I was losing light and also trying to suss out the various WPs for the proximate night cache so I didn't pay as much attention to the scenery as I could or should have but I paid enough to appreciate the advice to come in via Baldrys Rd.
The creek was in full voice as I walked the track and although I didn't see any wildlife I certainly heard the kookaburras calling out to each other as well as the rustle of bushes indicating (probably) the presence of a wallaby.
Cache was found after searching a couple of trees. Thanks for placing and maintaining this one Sikma.

What a nice walk in. Unfortunately I didn't see any wildlife, except for a dead mouse hanging from a branch. That turned out to be a leaf, of course! I followed the geotrail in and soon had the cache in hand. It could do with a new log book soon. TFTC Sikma

Apologies for the late log. With my family away for a few days I put out the call on Facebook for any interested parties to join up for some night caching. This was the second night of three and the Mornigton Pensula as our targeted area for this evening. I was pleased to be joined by OzHockeyChick, Geoturtle37, MarkandKelly (well just the Kelly half), jascat, and Wombles of Woodlands. This traditional cache was just a small diversion from the Jungle Ops night cache that we were working through. We struggled a little bit until we worked out the floral reference and then we were able to recorrect and make the fins. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Team Oaky.

A post on social media resulted in Mrs Papillon4506 and K from Mark&Kelly and I making the trek down here (on a school night!).
We met up with Annoying Tarbit, Wombles of Woodlands and jascat1 to do the nearby night cache. We picked up this nicely hidden cache on the way. Cheers

Another wonderful bushwalk. Cold and misty morning made a perfect backdrop for our walk to gz today. Found cache in good order and learned a bit about the lical greenery on the way.
Thank you very much for placing a cache here and leading us to this beautiful area.

A beautiful tucked away cache! A spectacular walk to the cache along the trail. Upon arrival of gz it took a lot longer than it should've to find the cache, but we got it in the end. When we were completing the circuit around to the car park we were surprised to see many more Xanthorrhoea along the way! What a spectacular plant! A phenomenal cache with picturesque bushland that I think deserves a fave point.

After a huge detour that probably could have been avoided - since I am so unfit ... nyochi and I found it thankfully!! Tftc!! Enjoyed the hunt!!
Beautiful stroll and a search that took me longer than it should have but all good
This was the 1st of 4 caches found today whilst on a 3 hour walk from Baldry's Road to Roger's Road Break and return. All caches were found in excellent condition. Many thanx to all CO's for bringing me back to this magnificent national park
In the early morning there were plenty of feeding wallabies and a variety of birds and frogs to be heard and seen
The wild flowers have generally gone for this season but there are great specimens of grass plants, ferns and gums. Main creek was in full flow

Have been interested in doing this one for a while, I have a couple of grass trees in my yard. Walked in from Baldry's Road through the biggest group of grass trees I've seen in one area, very impressive. Enjoyed the walk and fairly easy find.
