Early morning Caching Mission to see what was up the Coromandal Peninsula, and working our way back from Whitianga down to Whangamata. This way we would leave enough caches to make the cache run worth it, hitting it from the south which would make it an easier day next time.Today I was in the company of HKCB, (logs were generally signed HKCD) and we soon set in putting the world to rights, discussed may sports and enjoyed good music, caches along with fantastic sunshine.Managed a total of 63 caches and only 3DNF's so all in all a pretty good outcome. We set out from home, departing at 3am with a long drive, and big day ahead of us. The good thing at this time is that there are very few other cars to worry about on the winding roads. We eventually made it back home by 4.30pm.

Hi
It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me within Three Weeks, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.
While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks for your understanding,
Regards,

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Given the inactivity and location of CO, I'm guessing that this would be best to archive.
Logging nthis as it was obviously misssing.. when visited ----parked a bit further along partly on the grass and walked back hunted the big Pohutukawa on the right on the mini track to beach and could go around it easier on the beach side to the roots etc but did not find.
Today we had our third day in Coromandel, thereby visiting many other locations on the east coast of the Coromandel peninsula and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was good all day long with only partly a little bit rainy.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to muycerca for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Wharekaho Ika Nui (Coromandel). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Find number 4121. I came from the north so I did a u-turn as it was safer parking. Wandered down to beach and retrieved the cache from it's hide. I took it to the nearby seat for signing. Sat and enjoyed the view before returning it. Thank you for the placement.
Cool to stop off here but cold and windy today. We weren't intending going far today bwcause ut is closing in fast. The cache is all good. Thanks for bringing us here muycerca
It was a bit wild and windy today but I it is magnificent place when the weather plays it part ..nice easy find a good to see its still going strong and withstood the test of time ...great we cache Thanks Muycera

But then we found the cache Thank you TrekkingPope
Beautiful day here today, staying nearby in our motorhome so wandered along to grab this one. Could do with a new zip lock bag but we don't have one with us.

After waiting for the heat of the day to pass we headed out for some evening caching and this was our first stop. Lovely place to visit and cache was located with no problems. Thanks
Had looked for this one previously with no luck so decided to try again today. Was up in whiti with the parter and the in laws having a lovely weekend away despite the terrible weather. Went for a walk along the beach and I snuck away to grab this cache. Had a bit of trouble again, think it was mainly the GPS playing up but managed to make the find this time yay. Thanks for the cache
Gosh isn't the view here beautiful! Got a little bit confused which tree to look at but we got there and found the cache. Thanks for taking us to this lovely spot! Devvin
Easy find despite not having GPS signal. Cache is in good condition. Amazing views from this spot, thank you!
Since no-one had stopped by in a while we were unsure if this was actually there. But it was. What a gorgeous view. Even on a rainy day. Thanks for bringing us to this spot!
Found after a short hunt. Left the Hampshire travel bug from the u.k. beautiful spot. Tftc.
While staying at Simpson Beach we strolled along the beach to find this cache. The shady was a nice break from the sun today. Absolutely awesome day here at this lovely beach. Thank you.
Another beautiful beach and grand trees. Here with HennyGeo on holidays from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada in scenic New Zealand TFTEC
A quick find today. Not that busy on the beach and an obvious find to be had. We sat a while on the seat to observe the launching of a fishing kayak without incident. TFTC
Here in NZ with SwagHo vacationing, visiting and most importantly Geocaching from Vancouver island BC Canada. TFTC
It's New Years Day and what nicer place to find my first 2017 cache than here at Simpsons Beach. Fabulous. Tftc.
Great spot, beautiful trees, good sized cache, awesome stretch of beach. Cheers for bringing us here muycerca, TFTC.
Love these caches that have been around for so long, gets a FP for longevity and it being a beautiful spot, TFTC
A spectacular Sunday. Glorious weather. No wind.
Enjoyed the visit to this gem of a spot. Celebrated the fact that this cache has gone the distance. Over a decade. Good one. Giving it a fave point.
We made a straightforward find on the cache.
Cache in order; log signed, then safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Still here and happy in it's hiding spot. Love the trees. Easy walk from over night stop.
I came over to New Zealand to meet my son, who was staying for nearly six months on the other side of the world. Our intension is, to travel now for 4 weeks through this fantastic land and visiting a lot of fine spots on both islands.
Met in Auckland, our first trip led us to the Far North with some spectacular locations. It was a lot of driving, but we think, it was worth the result.
The second part of our travelling route led us to the south. Going via Hamilton with some fine locations, Hobbiton was an absolutely must of our "unexpected journey" . Went then to Tauranga with a hard upclimb to Mt. Maunganui, visited Rotorua to see lot of vulcanic activities, have had a lot of fun with Zorbing and Claybird shooting and drove then to Taupa, to doing Skydiving.
Napier with it's beautiful Art Deco district and the great Aquarium was the next stop.
Final destination on the North Island was Wellington, were we visited some great places and met some friends from Germany.
After crossing Cook Strait now we followed the east side of the southern island down to the most southern point of New Zealand.
Blenheim with its wine yards, fantastic dolphin watching in Kaikoura, the story of earthquake in Christchurch, following the famous coastline down to Dunedin with its beautiful and interesting places as well as the nice city of Invercargill were our main spots on this part of our journey.
Being in the South, the way now went up on the west coast back to the north. Crossing the Fjordland with its famous landscapes we've reached Te Anau to do a private flight over Milford Sound, then spend in Queenstown some time with the most spectacular activities ever done (Canyon jumping and Shotover canyon jetriding were some unforgetable experiences!) the way led us to the glaciers, up to the nice town of Westport and further to Abel Tasman Park to doing an unbelievable hike trough the park and an outstanding kayak tour with seal and bird watching.
Nelson, Picton; Cook Strait was waiting again for us.
Then it was time to starting back to the north. But first of all we catched the oldest cache of NZ, one of the oldest in the word. That was a must before we took our way via Palmerston North, Whanganui, Oponake to New Plymouth with stops on beautiful places.
Due to bad weather in the mountains it was not possible to do the Tongariro Crossing, so we decided to go straight north to Hamilton and then further to the Coromandel peninsula, where we spent the Easter days. Wonderful days with wonderful weather and fantastic places.
All will come to an end, also this outstanding vacation. We drove back to Auckland, where we performed the revenge of our Drift Kart competition and took then the airplanes back home.
Of course, even if was is not our main activity during this holidays, we were looking for some caches, which are laying beside our route.
So this cache was one of those, we've picked up.
Many thanks to muycerca for this fine cache and best greetings from Germany.

I am here with 7 colleagues from all over the US, Australia, and New Zealand and it actually is a work event. But today we were done and had time for some team building. Three of us headed north to see if we couldn't find some geocaches before the day's events began. This is 1 of 5 that we found. Thanks for bringing us here. We made it harder than it had to be.
This was our last one today on our way to Hahei for the night. Loved the tree-pity we missed the flowers but the beach is very nice-thanks.
We just need a couple more today to reach a 0 at the end we returned from Cooks Beach to Whitianga, slightly apprehensive as we had passed through flooded roads on our way south this morning and thought it might be worse this evening. ( but this NZ not UK ) and the roads were completely clear. So travelled a few Kms north to pick up this one. A quick find. TFTC
One of the team wasn't enjoying the spider webs. But amazing space to be. Found with team SEAC OF A 50 to find day. TFTC. Stunning day in god zone.
We formed a team of four, keylev, thebrownehornet, He of HeMaLuDy and me to try for 50 caches that are separated by 1km or more all in one day. This is to meet the requirement of one of the GIO challenges. We tried to translate the Maori name, but gave up and just found the cache. We signed the log as SEAC. TFTC.
Working on the Geo-Licence series and needed to find 50 caches in a day a minimum of 1km apart so a plan was put together to take a trip to collect them along with Agazo, Mrs HeMaLuDy and thebrownehornet. I left home at 8am and returned just after 10.30pm clocking a total of 476km on the car. The scenery was awesome and reminds me of all that is great in New Zealand.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Keylev and Agazo hatched a plan to collect 50 geocaches 1 km apart for their GIO licence, and thebrownehornet was also going along for the ride. At the last minute Mr HeMaLuDy said he could manage the kids and school pick-up, sports etc so Mrs HeMaLuDy decided to tag along too - I'm not sure he was expecting us to be home quite so late as he tried to keep the kids up until I got home but finally put them to bed around 9 (we were home around 10 pm).
We drove pretty much around the Coromandel Peninsula to achieve the goal, and collect a few extras as well. A great day, amazing weather, incredible scenery and very few DNF's. Logs signed as Team SEAC or just SEAC (South East Auckland Crew) as we often cache together as a group, and it saves room on the logs.
A nice easy find here.

#11421. Heading south to Whitianga, we managed to get an angle park (the angle was caused by the passenger side being much lower than the driver's side). It was a short walk to GZ, and a quick find. TFTC.
Today is our last day in Whitianga, and so is the last chance to catch the Pony Express. Weather forecast not too bad, a chance of showers (though all we experienced was a few spots of rain early in the day) so we were away before 8.30am. Had a total of 9 DNFs on the 309 Road, our worst caching day ever, I think, but things improved once we hit Coromandel town and can report 100% success rate after that.
The last cache find for the day after returning to Whitianga via SH25, a lot faster than the 309 Road! We had to drive past this before as we weren't sure about parking, but today we were more on the ball and StreetWalker managed to park on a nearby berm. A quick find for SW. TFTC.

Staying at this beach for a girls weekend so thought I would search of this cache as Others in the group had found it previously. Pretty quick to suss out the area. Took longer to actually find. Thanks for the cache
On our twentysecond day in New Zealand we traveled from Rotorua to Coromandel. We enjoyed the nice scenery and the great weather.
Christmas trees in New Zealand look totally different from the ones back home. And they are much much bigger. Looked first at another place but then found the box.
TFTC and greetings from Switzerland

Wow, magnificent trees! With my limited knowledge of Christmas trees, I had no idea they grew this big. I had thought them a small tree. I see how wrong my idea was. TFTC muycerca.

Geocaching weekend with some great geo buddies. Signed log as -day trippers CNSZ in order to save space. Great cache, left shark tooth geocoin as I want it to stay near the sea where the Sharks live.
A beautiful beach & we enjoyed the short walk there. Interesting black sand by GZ. Don't see that too often where we're from (Sydney). TFTC

We had driven slightly past the walkway so had to walk back. Great specimens of Pohutukawa tree growing here. Spotted the hide after checking out a couple of wrong spots. TFTC.
A wet morning so not much fun looking among wet undergrowth. Interesting black sand. Dropped off Piratenbraut trackable. Hope he wasn't too jet lagged.
