Found the hide on a walk, but hadnt read the cache description before setting off. One for next time!
This is a very cool cache.. had a couple of gotcha moments and was puzzled.but with a bit of patience and thinking it all came together !!!Such a beautiful and peaceful place at least on a Monday arvo with nil Muggle activity, which was a blessing!Well done and definitely deserves an FP.TFTC
Well patience was required here. I possibly should have reread the description before attempting this one. Firstly I began the walk without the 9vs required. Luckily I didnt get far before I remembered, I ducked back to the car & grabbed my fresh battery. When I arrived at the cache I fluffed around a little working out what to do, retrieved and signed the cache - but only got it half closed before my battery lost sufficient charge. All the way back to the car to get a fresh battery to finish shutting it. Moral to the story dont fluff around & maybe spend a little more on quality batteries. An awesome cache! TFTC **JEM**!
After we found an old 9 volt battery in the car, we decided to give it a go. Then we realised it was too old and crusty so we had to get a new one.We came back later, to make a cool find - totally worth it! TNLN TFTC
After initially failing at this due to a flat battery we went to the shop and returned with greater power! The new battery worked great and we waited so patiently for the cache to be revealed. Very cool. FP from me.
Very cool cache. Took a while to figure it out but got it in the end. Dropped a tb from the Channel Islands, UK. Fav point from us! TFTC!
This a new account but I found this cache with my mum (EmsDan1315) and my brother (maggies123) on 10-6-2024. Dont forget your battery like we did the first time TFTC.
Drop by Sunday, in the rain with an undercharged 9 V and a lack of patience!Definitely one to start with a wheel charged battery and have a bit of patience and all revealed.Glad we got this one solved was well worth the return visit. Well done magnificent cacheTSLS
Logged, as found didn't get my smiley face..... second time today as we had to go get the battery
Magnificent cache! This is a well thought out and executed cache! Thanks for your efforts! Out and about exploring the Barossa. Tftc I have run out of fav points bur this definitely deserves one!
The best cache ever!, I will probably be reported to Police for looking very suss but its worth it!
Day #10 Leaping Forward AdventuresAnd just like that leap day is done and dusted! As the next 4 years begin, its time to head out to the Barossa with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506.Once we worked out our way to GZ we set about actioning this with our previously purchased TOTT. Patience was indeed required but it was rewarded. A very cool cache and worth a favourite. Thanks **JEM** for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. OzHockeyChick, Papi4506, RoamingHowie and myself are out this way to pick up as many as we can of the Barossa Trail. Whilst in the area, we picked up a few others that piqued out interest. This one had a number of favourite points and now has a couple more coming it's way. Thank you for the time and effort that has gone into the construction of this cache and thank you for keeping it active for so long. I do love old caches.
RoamingHowie, OzHockeyChick, Geoturtle37 and myself set off today to find some high scoring favourites with the Barossa Trail as our main target for the day. This was a cache we chose to visit because of the favourite points it has accumulated. We had a chat whilst waiting for the cache to make it's grand entrance. Another favourite point coming your way as we love the effort that has gone into making this fun Thanks you.
Adelaide day two: Teamed up with RoamingHowie, Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 to tackle a bunch of grapes and assorted others along the way.Once we found the easiest place to park, we made our way to gz with the relevant tott, where we waited patiently for the cache to appear. Nice work. Another fav point heading your way. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, **JEM** ~~
Found with chubly09. I have heard about this Fort Knox by the same person who hid this cache so I was very excited. Having to leave the cache to get a battery and come back we found it!!! Amazing cache in a amazing park definitely deserves a amazing favourite point Thank you for the cache Buddy9
Having just found Gawler fort Knox a week earlier I had high expectations. And i wasnt disappointed! We had to leave to go buy a battery and came back this morning.A fav point for the effort here againTftc
Such a clever hide and perfect for Mrs Mellison’s 750th find. We’ve been out for a weekend of caching with Mrs Mellison and team Paulf76. We love the Barossa and had a great night last night. This is find number 16 for the weekend. TFTC
750th cache and what a freakin ripper. Found it in daylight but came back at night with required item. Definitely needs patience and night is better because there are no muggles around. Love this whole area for caching. It’s been a ripper day of unexpected adventures.
Well, I just had to turn around to find the cache. I did have a battery with me but could open the container only about 10 mm. which is where it is now. Sorry JEM but you will have to close it again.
AussieGal88 and myself are spending our daylight hours going on a trip up to the Barossa for a day of cache finding and also to visit the GeoStuff store.
We travelled around Nuriootpa, Angaston and Greenock and got a total of 17 finds and one adventure lab completed for the day for this pineapple.
Wow! What an awesome cache!
Out of all the things I thought this cache would be, that wasn't it.
I love how well crafted that was, how much effort and work went into this.
I really appreciate you **JEM** for putting out such awesome caches such as these.
Truly amazing effort and I enjoyed every single moment here.
It was fun and amusing so thank you.
The patience we had to show was worth it to get this cache.
We signed the log and managed to get it closed just before some muggles came by.
A favourite point for you for your efforts and the cool location!
Thanks **JEM** for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3444 on the 26th of August 2023.
CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it!
Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!

A Geo Day with pineapplegoldy in the Nuriootpa, Angaston and Greenock regions! What glorious weather to go with it, whilst clocking up cache finds and working towards other challenge goals and milestones!

Remember, if you take a TB be sure to:
- Read the Goal and Description
- Correctly 'Retrieve' it.
- Log 'Visit' for the TB at each cache, event etc. that you go to. Unless the Description states otherwise.
- When you want to put it another cache you 'Drop' it, so the next cacher can repeat the process
This avoids TB's going missing and respecting the TB owner with the kindness they provide by putting them out

Messages with CO who will do some magic to get door closed.
We enjoyed this cache and were patient with opening. Luckily no-one was around. Did the signing duties and then couldn't get it closed! frmen1 cleaned the points, we did a few other tricks and then read previous notes. Sent message to CO re issue and watched as a muggle family walk past...they didn't notice the issue (phew). We'd fiddled for about 10-15mins before deciding to race off to get another fresh battery in case that was the issue.
Thankfully CO will be able to see to it tomorrow. We felt deflated leaving the cache as we did, but loved the concept. Fav pt. TFTC and experience.

Opened, but cannot close. Running off to supermarket to buy 2nd fresh battery. Hope that no-one muggles it before we get back.
Worked out and found with tassie expat while enjoying this nice track. Thanks for putting this interesting one here.
TFTC! Second time here in a couple of days this time with the right utensils. Very very cool.
Returned with the correct TOTT this time… Such a clever cache and amazing invention and a well deserved favourite point
I'm getting to like you JEM
This is another VERY cool invention well worth the visit. Incredible mechanical idea! A definite fav. TFTC Contact Zero

**JEM** this sure did try our patience, but we continued on and
had success. A bit hard to finally get closure but all was good in
the end. Well done,

We spent part of today caching in Nurioopta and while there, came across this cache. It took a couple of minutes to explore - you certainly did have to have Patience to get access to the container with the logbook and other items. The cache and contents were in good condition. This is an excellent cache: very well planned, constructed and presented. Thanks **JEM** for a great cache - it earns a favourite from us.
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
Thanks for the cache **JEM** a well earned favourite from us.
Thanks for the cache **JEM** a well earned favourite from us.
We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
I reached this one while out on my morning run. I had passed it a couple of time yesterday and wondered what it was, Then I realised I needed a battery. so I abandoned it and came back later with one.
Fantastic cache but I did have trouble getting the container out and I wondered if I have left the battery on there long enough. I eventually got it out signed the log and replaced it.
A favourite from me
This was find number 8 for the day.

This cache takes more than PATIENCE! Headed out tonight with the recommended TOTT and a good dose of curiosity and anticipation. And with so many fave points it was sure to amaze. Somethings move slowly but rather delighted when I realised what was happening- extracted the container and happily signed- then the fun started and patience needed. I’m the equivalent of a nuff nuff when it comes to these contraptions so a final call to a friendly CO learned me a new lesson! Brilliant, simple and fun. Third day in SA and have been out on trusty treadles aka my mtb to explore the trails and surroundings. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game! Oh - and a FAVE from me too
30th of June, 2022, Saturday, I and J plus the little one visited Big Bent Lookout - River Murray International Dark Sky Reserve Observation Point. On our trip, we found 22 caches, including 1 mystery cache, 1 letterbox hybrid cache, 1 multi cache, 2 lab adventure caches, and 17 traditional caches.
This was the eleventh find for today. Also the second **JEM** cache found today.
We selected this cache due to high favourite points. And I came prepared.
Parked as close as possible, and started walking. A short walk led to the cache.
With a hint from the CO, we got the cache container, and signed the cache.
I only found one cache using the same idea, before this one.
Took nothing, left nothing. TBs visited, and discovered some TBs.
Thanks for the brilliant cache, **JEM**. Definitely a favourite point from us!

Been walking in past this for the last 2 years knowing what it was but had stopped caching, anyway decided to take the hobby up again so this was the first one I wanted to target a great cache to start it all off again with TFTC
In the area visiting friends and cacher who has had a hiatus from caching for many a year. A quick look at the map showed a number of nearby caches that were within walking distance. On a moonless night we took the dogs for a walk, grabbed a few torches and hit the trails. This one had been on Affys agenda for some time and with the right TOTT in hand the cache did not disappoint. A fantastic cache well worth a fav point - well done. Grabbed a couple of TB's to help on their way. TFTC
Picked this up on a trip back home to Adelaide, visiting treblamij. It was quiet enough to pick up through the day, and totally worth the trip. Thanks!
LOL wondered what this new cache was then realised you had changed the name!
Appropriate. Most cachers are short on patience 'cos there's 17000+ more in SA to go out and find...
Just breathe people - your little tott can do it
Still a FAV !

Yay. I certainly needed patience when I too couldn’t close it. My TOTT heated up so finished the lab nearby and returned without much luck. Went to shops and bought another and some afternoon tea and no luck. Switched it round the other way and instant success. Go figure. Another favourite point coming your way!!
After finally completing my DT grid, after just 9 years !? What’s my next challenge? With demands on my shared car with the Monkey and my Mum suffering declining health, caching is quite focussed at the moment. With a few outstanding signed challenges (500 puzzles-grrr, 50 large caches and flashlight required) I’m working my way on these between the city and Kapunda and building in Port Hughes. Letterboxes too along the way.
Anyway, sorry for the geo ramble, I’m logging this cache for my sanity. Thank you for placing it for us to find. Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when needed. All the best for the festive season and fingers crossed we can all enjoy 2022. TFTC

Second attempt at this one. First time we bought a brand new battery at the local supermarket, just for this cache. Well, I must be a cheap skate, because my battery didn't have enough oomph to do the job. Came back this time with an energiser max and it did the trick, so make sure you don't buy the cheap battery cos it won't work. Awesome cache btw, dropped a couple of trackables here too.
Found today on this windy rainy/sunny day.
We noticed the door open on our arrival. Signed the log (thanks for the pencil, as we forget our pen ), then the new 9 volt battery was utilised in an attempt to close the door. Unfortunately, despite green light coming on, the door would not shut! So we left it the way we found it. TFTC

Found to be working with no issues, I think it could be user error. Might change the name.
Awesome cache but now I can’t shut it. Yikes. I might have to contact the owner

Hi. I am having trouble shutting the cache. I will keep trying for a bit longer but I don’t think I’m going to have any luck. Sorry
Disappointing.
Found by me with Peas&CarrotsForever and Sandelf, with Jolly0 who has previously found this.
We had a brand new 9 volt however could not open.
Such a pity that we have to log this as a DNF when we found the hide and had the right TOTT, but couldn't get into the cache to log.

Back today with a brand new device and hurrah it worked! Another 15mins then spent trying to retrieve the container. Still not quite sure how it was dislodged! Now struggling to put it all back together again... I’m really amazed by this level of technical skills - TFTC!
Opened container one and found the necessary TOTT but had no luck... Might need a fresh one!
A bit of a struggle to release container but got there eventually. 2nd one of these I’ve seen but a good idea nevertheless. Tftc
Need some patience for this one, but a great design.
When it opened i was overthinking it but was actually pretty easy.
Another great cache, thanks

I parked up and walked into this one, not realising I needed the TOTT so back to the car to get the tool and back again, I love your work. Great cache for its age
Today with a few new caches published and a new cache published in the Barossa thought I would go for the FTF and also clean up the remains that I had left in the area. A nice day out with 35 finds
Thanks for the cache

Finally logged this one having found several weeks ago but finding ourselves without correct tool. Loved the design, TFTC HouseofJones
I should learn to read the description and activity log beforehand. Found the cache then read I needed a battery so off I went to town to get a battery. Walk back, open door and apply battery and heard a 'clunk'. What next? Only after a minute of searching I see what was going on. More battery needed. Retrieved cached that was loaded with goodies for the kids. There was 2 travel bugs inside so I've nabbed one to take to a wedding in Newcastle in a few months. (travel bug will be logged tonight). Signed log and replaced. Now...how to close the door back up. Got that going...slowly! Thankfully no one was around when I was there. Very clever cache and will add a fav point as it's much deserved! TFTC!
While staying in the nearby Caravan Park for a family event last weekend we decided that now was the time to attempt a few of the local caches.
Nice cool weather so a good time to do some walking caches
We wandered by this one on our morning walk and realised we were missing a very important TOTT. Consequently we returned this afternoon and soon had a nice big cache full of goodies in our hands
Many thanks for this gem of a cache **JEM**......another favourite point on it’s way

Found it! Epic spot but unfortunately no battery didn’t do our research before going out eeeek
Had not done any homework before starting the wander so this is more a CNA (Could Not Access) than a DNF.
I might be back but having found all the other caches in the vicinity it could be a while.

Whilst staying at the caravan park we made the trek to realise we had no means to open the cache..... So after re-arming ourselves we headed back. One of the best caches I've seen....loved it..... Tftc
I apologise for the tardy log... sometimes life gets in the way... now trying to catch up logging & reading 7000+ emails????
Found after doing nearby ad lab.
Arrived to find a special tool was required... earthlight & myself had nada, nothing... zilch! A drive to the nearest supermarket was necessary & a purchase made. Log stamped and cache replaced??

Today was the Big Birthday Bash in the Barossa. After a big caching day out I wasn’t sure how I would fare today, but still managed around 20.
Really enjoyed my walk along the rail trail and then headed to the Birthday party which was lots of fun.
I then did some of the lab caches in the area but ran out of time so I guess I will be heading back .
Some fellow cachers had obtained a vital tool that facilitated the finding of this superb cache. Davidwazza enabled the device whilst dr Owl retrieved the cache. Epic TFTC JEM

After the nearby event Owl went in search of coffee and then in search of caches. Along the way she kept running into cachers. (There seemed to be a lot of them in the area for some reason!) There was a gaggle of cachers to make this one work - Davidwazza, Jesswrigley and Michells&Hound - and a TOTT donated by Blackadders. The cache very slowly opened and equally slowly closed again, much to the entertainment of the cachers. Always a pleasure Jem!
During our new years break, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I finished our trip by driving from Kimba back to Adelaide via Nurioopta. We made a short stop at Port Augusta, and then travelled back south via Augusta Highway, and then left just after Lochiel through Balaklava, Owen, Hamley Bridge, Freeling, and Daveyston. We made it to Geostuff's 10th birthday celebration event, before finishing out our day completing the Adventure Labs in the area.
We were walking around this vicinity whilst completing the Adventure Lab. We walked past this cache peviously, and realised the TOTT that we needed, but we did not possess one today. Thankfully, we ran into a few other Geocachers, and so I asked them if they so happen to have a TOTT on them. They did in their car, and so we managed to grab this, and return back here. Funnily enough, none of them could recall this cache needing a TOTT, and so I can only assume that the cache container had changed with the CO getting transferred to the famous JEM with those cache hides. We headed back, and I put the TOTT to use, and soon we had the outer container open to soon reveal the inner container. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and a few TBs were popped in, knowing that it would be pretty safe and secure here. This cache had been on my target/bucket list due to its high Favourite Point count too! Thanks JEM for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

I was on a mission today to get 34 finds, to round out my annual total. Not sure why, but I do. Yesterday I was in the Salisbury Elizabeth area and failed to get any numbers due to caches missing, so I needed to be sure of finds today. I started on the Hwy and exited into Nuri as I knew the area had enough, and thought being STCats territory (also Bructus) I should have success. I had done those in the west of this park, but found I could not walk (or chose not to walk) through the tall grass creek bed to get to the last two. So around I drove.
I almost didn't come to this one, but I did. I didn't even check it was a *Jem* cache otherwise I would have made this a priority. And it did not disappoint. As soon as I saw the box, I thought it was going to be interesting, then seeing the CO's name pop up, woohoo, a smile right across my face. After the new one at Channel 7, I always carry a 9v with me, so please I do. It was quickly retrieved and I found the quality interface device.
I did not have much success initially, and there were no instructions that I could see, so was just messing around when it almost took off the end of my finger. I then had an idea on the mechanism, and I was able to make it work to my advantage.
What a great hide, I do love your work. Fantastic effort in construction and execution. Shame only 1 FP can be awarded. Log book was signed and returned. Thanks Jem!!! FP4U. Magnificent TB dropped.

I didn't have a battery.
Looking at the cache details I suspect I had a dnf on this cache in it's previous life as Grandma's Sense.

Out for the day with Featherwaite to get some caches around the Barrossa.
All caches found were in good order. Thanks to all cache owners.
We went back to the car and got the battery required for this one.
Took a while for the cache to open and then a few goes to extract it.
Neat cache.
