A nice day enjoying a leisurely driving north and south of Burra grabbing a few caches as we passed. Many thanks for the hide matmob????
Day trip to Robertstown and Eudunda area grabbing many multis and others during the days caching. All caches in good condition unless mentioned in the logs. TFTC Great view .
A Sunday drive with the Muggle Wife up north of Kapunda and surrounds. Her interest was the wildlife and stopping at sacred sites and other points of interest to read plaques and enjoy the scenery. Mr Adder also admired the abundance of accompaniments to roast potatoes and gravy.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
.
Getting to GZ was the biggest problem with this one. The SatNav wanted us to go down there but the gate meant no. A detour around a few dirt roads and a notice that read road closed ahead had us anxious about actually getting close enough for a driveby. As mentioned in the description, access from the East was possible and the prize soon in hand.
Thank you for the cache matmob Find Number 9855 on 10/07/2022

An early morning start in the area so had an interesting drive up the hill in the semi dark. It was very cold and windy at GZ this morning
an early start in the area today so we took in the sunrise and headed to GZ then off to work from here
Picked this one up without a blokey in sight. Signed the log after retrieving from amongst the nuts and bolts. TFTC
I did not make it to the early morning CITO but a spur of the moment decision had me meeting up with gridge98 at Mawson Lakes to head up to Eudunda to find some out of the way caches that we both had not found. I left home at 7:30am and returned at 8:30pm after a big day with 49 finds. We did a big loop finishing in Kapunda and I think this was a record for me with the number of multis found in a day.
We tried to get to this one from the bottom of the ridge but couldn't get far so we headed back and around coming in from the south. It was a nice drive and we had great views from GZ. Cache quickly found.
Thanks for the cache matmob.

This was an interesting cache to access, as we were down the base of the ridge at point pass we tried to up a road to GZ but no access was had so back to town asnd the approach from south was had. An interesting location here and cache of different colours
Cache and contents are all good
After an early morning CITO on Anstey Hill, I met up with JJ52 to go caching for the day. With not much of a plan other than to cache around Eudunda for the day. We went from cache to cache finding 49 caches for the day and ending up in Kapunda after a big loop. A lot of middle of no where/back roads with 2 brown snakes spotted on our journey.
Thanks for the cache

Owl decided that another Girls' Caching Day Out was in order, so collected SA Sewer Rats to continue their Saturday run north. The views were great and the roads reasonably good (especially as they avoided the dodgy one and opted for the aptly named scenic road) but where has the promised girly cache gone? (No sign of the cache guardian either.)
This was a nice find for the day. We enjoyed the views along the Scenic road, and avoided driving down Schild's road (eventually we drove up it, wow, what a crazy road, suited only for 4WD's).
We are awarding another favourite point for the age of this cache, and the views as we approached it.
TFTC matmob.

At the bottom of Schild Road we felt as though it wouldn't be the right way for us to go so we detoured south and used Scenic Road. Once we got to the top we were glad of the detour. Schild Road looked quite rough.
Having read the previous log from December, we used sticks to pull the cache free. Saw loads of earwigs and not the cache guardian mentioned until one member of JDHZ picked up the cache. Cache guardian found underneath! ARGH .... cache dropped.
On high alert, we heard noises further afield and to our surprise we saw an echidna. The wind was blowing towards us so we spent several minutes watching in awe as the echidna went about its own business. Geokids thought it was so cute!
We replaced the cache, leaving the guardian to find its own way home and went to look at the view. Absolutely worth the drive...... brilliant.
Thank you, matmob, for bringing us here. A Favourite Point from us.

Midnight cache run with Purrfect Di, brought us to this hide.
I could only imagine the awesome views one would see here in the daytime !
Still we could just make out Eudunda lights and what was probably Robertstown.
Thanks for another cool cache location matmob

After attending a family reunion in Eudunda we had some time up our sleeves to explore the area and collect some smilies along the way, enjoyed our country drive, awesome drive up the hill and even better views along the ridge line, cache all good

Heading out on a beautiful day today to do some video of a friends property with the Quad. After which we continued on towards Robertstown to grab some caches...as you do! Cool Cache..lots of blokey stuff in there. Stunning views along this ridge. TFTC
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.
If you do not agree with this you are more than welcome to delete the log.

wondering where we would end up we saw the location in the distance now a drive to it the road was a little rough but solid. parked within a few meters but Geodad found the container cracked Rang a Friend to confirm if it was ok to replace the container for the owners but all the contents remain the same with Log book. So lucky for us we are carrying replacement containers. Great views from up here too. TFTC
What a fun day this one was! 35 smileys including 2 FTFs while out with Dennisc52 and earthlight for a fantastic day.
We had planned to get to Clare to locus caches but instead we found ourselves at Kapunda and Eudunda
Such is geocaching
Enjoyed most of the track up to this cache however some unsettling news just prior to getting here had me shaking and a shaking locus is not a good thing when trying to push boundaries!
Especially when 7 or 8 attempts all ended up with the same result
Maybe Harry isn't as blokey as he thought he was......or is that the driver who isn't[?]

Found during a day of caching with locus_cache and Earthlight, and having a good time in Harry, despite losing a headlamp to a wayward Kangaroo. Earthlight and I decided to see what the track was like when Harry stopped half way up at a rocky outcrop. Locus_cache just was'nt confident enough yet to tackle something like this, so the 800 metre walk. Beautiful views up here! TNLN. TFTC.
After driving approx 800 mtrs from GZ I decided I needed to get out and walk.
Locus wanted to check the trail ahead as appeared to be a 4WD area and wasn't sure if she would be able to get Harry to go up.[Being as her 4wd experience is limited.]
I enjoyed a great walk with DennisC52 to GZ.
A quick find and realised maybe we had taken the wrong road to this cache.
It all ended well with a cache.a great walk and Harry turned around waiting for us to to do the return trip back down.
Took trackables to visit.
A favourite point from me today.

Repairs were been done on the nearby towers but this cache was far enough away for them not to notice me...

Some fantastic views nearby and the drive along the 'road' in a 4 WD was very enjoyable thanks to 'Mr The Comrades'. Found after a brief search and exactly where the GPSr indicated it would be. TNLN. Thanks to 'matmob' for an enjoyable caching experience.
Note to self, get a GPS enabled smart phone. Was 15 metres away, assisting with communications. Didn't know its was here until returned home. I guess I knew it was a perfect location! Merry Xmas, Unka Dave.
Nice cache with a great view. We were so inspired that we took the direct route on to Girly from here. That was fun!
Being a carpenter, I have lots of blokey swaps; Back in my shed where they belong!
Thanks matmob.

Had to enter from a different road as the sun was too blinding heading up the hill on the first attempt. Thanks
Well there certainly is some blokey stuff in this container, plus I can understand the reason with its location (stand tall young man, show me that your a tower of strength). All it needs now is a shed to put it all in,tftc
We pulled up near gz and were rewarded with some excellent views of the local countryside. We then headed off to gz for a nice easy find where we made the best blokey swaps we had with us

Amongst the approaching thunder and lightning Em wanted large bolt for her bedroom door, but took playing cards. Left pens. Dried out cache and replaced plastic bag. More thunder and kids back in the car. TFTC
Good easy driveby, lots of random objects here! Dammit, honey-sucker has been here too. Grr.
Out for Sunday drive in the Funklux and the pipeline led to Robertstown so decided to grab some caches on the way. A great spot and a nice little drive too
Cheers

Few boggy patches but we ploughed through with the Geo-commodore to GZ... I had this one in hand while Dazzatron was checking the computer.... Definitely full of Blokey things... Some good stuff for the caching bag but had no swaps in return... TNLNSL Tks Matmob for the cache
Have to admit I hardly got out the car as was trying to get a signal on the computer to check some stuff online as Margieh made the find. TFTC
It was a bit touch and go through a few of the boggy sections along the "scenic" road to the cache from the north due to the recent rains (the notes did say "dry weather road only" and I only had a 2WD - doh!). Well worth the effort, nearly as good views as "Girly" .

Loved the drive upto here from Robertstown. What awesome views. and the fields of yellow were fantastic. A great way to finish off our weekend of Orienteering, Geocaching and Photography!
18th of 33 for the day while driving to Worlds End. Thanks matmob for getting me off the main drag.
Wow What fantastic views. We came up from Robertstown which was challenging seeing we were towing our new Kimberley Karavan. Find one of many for a 3 day shakedown trip away.
Thanks matmob, looks like you emptied the Tupperware drawer.

Came from Girly. Took a chain lock and left some pliers. Drove off down the hill to the east. Thats a blokey kinda track. Good one Thx Matmob
Had managed to visit girlie and ot realise blokey was so close previously, so made amends this time, and then drove out via girlie anyway. Left a mini tool kit and took a pulley wheel. Great views. Enjoyed the place greatly.TFTC
#27 for the day.
We were heading south now, 'Robbie' being the furthest north we got too, otherwise we will never get home!
The road, like many we have been on today was quite good. There has been many we have been on that haven't been that flash either!
Didn't have anything of value to trade with anything that I may have wanted from the cache, so TNLNSL
Thanks

Having been to Girly we had to come and find Blokey. No swaps. Good driveby. Thanks matmob
Brrrr! No wonder at 450+m above sea level on a cold windy day. Wonderful views from this location. Left the toolbox at home today so unable to swap anything of significance! Thanks for the cache. Cheers, Rav 4 Raiders
Oh the views!
Oh the cold wind !
Oh hang on that didn't sound to blokey
Bring on the cold I can take it !
Great camping spot nearby. The sunrise was spectacular

Have replaced container, all dry now. It was so windy up there that the lid blew away over into the paddock next door, I had to run after it!
Found it before Matmob replaced it, just! Took Level, Left a Car for the petrolheads. Had fun watch matmob run after the new lid in the wind, other geocachers should hold onto the lid!!! TFTC
Another find on our day of cruising around the Valley of Hidden Treasures Event chasing caches. This is a particularly memorable spot. Last year during the Robertstown Rally a friend of mine hit the crest near the cache at around 170kph and rolled his nice blue Subaru WRX into a little ball. Fortunately the roll cage did the job it was designed for and the driver and navigator were both ok...
The cache was completely full of water...

8th of 14 caches found with Beaker's Bunch using our alternative approach to the game on the Day in the Valley of Hidden Treasures. This cache was so blokey it was ... chock full of water? At least I hope it was water. The logbook was still fairly dry in its ziplock bag.
Nicely themed container & swaps, but us real men don't notice things like that.
