Its had its day. No longer the easy to access location 18 years ago when placed..
This cache will be visited at the end of April. As it is an older cache i will replace it.
To avoid the long grass and blackberries I climbed over the railing on the bridge. Would have been genius if I actually located the cache but not today. Perhaps it washed away?
Searched and searched under the bridge and moved all the rocks but couldnt locate this cache. Maybe next time.
A little difficult getting into this overgrown location in work clothes but found on the way back from Kyneton today. Thanks feathertop!
After a brief search and realising it was not on the road. We found it safely and tucked away in its location. Thank you for the history of the building, quite fascinating. TFTC
That was a lil tricky. Blackberries and wet long grass made the challenge a lil harder. Thanks for the cache,
Walked along the creek to reach this cache. Now we know what this building was used for, thanks!
Finally got a little closer to the house we’ve always admired driving by on the freeway! A great day out with Serial.
This mill is beautiful. I love bluestone buildings, they took so solid. This cache was found after a clamber through some long grass.
I love the Bluestone Mill house, and used to drive past it regularly before the freeway was opened. Difficult to access the cache with blackberries and long grass, but had success.
A gorgeous autumn day, perfect for a for a Sunday drive with BoabTree.

Having made plans to go caching as our usual tradition on Good Friday; Ghihash and I change our plans on Thursday night from the Mega to Riddles Creek due to bad weather and time restraints.
We took Ghihash’s car thinking we won’t need the clearance for the day. We started with the caches in Carsruhe before heading to Riddles creek.
What a great old bluestone

Having just one day off this week I asked k9team if she wanted to go to the mega, however realising that was a 3 hour drive there and a 3 hour drive back with unfavourable weather we decided to go caching in Riddells Creek. On the way I saw I still hadn't done the caches in Carlsruhe so we spent some time before lunch finding all the caches here.
Revisiting the mill for the first time since 2006 when my aunty and uncle held their wedding reception inside the bluestone building brought back alot of memories.
Thanks for the cache. Found with k9team

Woo Hoo. 1st chance to get back here & thankfully no serpent lying in wait. Great hide. Scarey to see how high the river's been recently. Happy St Andrews Day!! Many thanks
Another lovely wet day, it was nice to find this one safe and sound after the floods.
Didn't even get close to GZ. The Black Guardian of the cache was on duty. No argument from me. Maybe another day - if I regain some courage
This is the first time that we have found ourselves so close to this mill. We have passed by so often and always say that we must make time to have a better look. Today was the day, we had time even though the weather wasn't great but there was no way I was going to get GT37 to just drive by, especially when there is also an old cache nearby. Thank you for placing this cache and keeping it going for so long.
At long last we got to look at this awesome old structure. Such a shame the weather was poor but look we did. Pleased that there is a cache here and glad to be able to find it at last. I love the mill and also old caches so this was a great stop for me. Thank you.
Bit of a wet walk to the cache. So much dog poo on the way, don't know what that was about. The kids made the climb to the cache. The mill looks interesting, apparently it's for sale. Hope someone does something good with it. Tftc.
Found this on the way back from Bendigo.
Added as a draft and never came back to it until now.
I did love these caches. Local and state history

Me and my dad found it below the bridge (I got cut by some kinda thorny bush lol)
Found by idiotLairds 06/03/22.
Thank you for being our first find. But certainly not our last.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC feathertop

Found out caching with Wollaston on a slow meander north. Dropped over the side to save wading through all the long snakey grass.
Container condition no lid but well protected and dry.
Log condition lots of room
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world
Log signed in first open spot with stamp

TFTC good hide but you need to be a little bit of a monkey to climb down to access the cache. Lots of long grass, be careful people
Having a minibreak in Castlemaine so stopped to get this nice, old cache. Beware grass is very long on the way to GZ. Was found exactly where it said it was!
Found the container out in the open and lower than expected. Returned to match the hint TFTC feathertop
I love this mill! Always admire it on the way past, so was excited to stop for a good look. TFTC
Second attempt at this one, very happy to get a smiley face this time around! Live this Mill so it was nice to stop and finally appreciate it as opposed to cursing it
One day out on parole from Covid lockdown for us country folk allowed us to visit country towns and support businesses. Was a glorious day with full sunshine to soak up 7 geocaches for the day. Found @ 12:22pm by AK.
I’ve been eyeing this one off for years but was always forgot or was too reluctant to turn off the freeway to try and find it.... until now. Great way to get up close and personal with the campaspe river. Thanks for the find
A cache with good potential considering its location away from muggles. A larger container with goodies inside would not be amiss. Saw some crude drawings nearby that would not look out of place in Pompei. Left a Christmas tree.
I started today fairly seedy. I had enjoyed some port around my campfire the previous night and not got going as early as I had hoped. But I had decided to just amble along.
I had read the logs saying that this cache was missing the log book. So I came prepared with a new one.
But, after hunting around in the obvious spot, it wasn’t there. Finally after expanding my search I found the container in a location not matching the hint. So, new log book inserted and cache replaced, it’s kind of good to go, although it’s also missing the lid.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Challenging terrain on this one and our last find for the day. Took a little while to find, no log in the cache and no lid. Thanks for placing the cache.
Now lockdown is finally over and we can travel around Victoria, I booked a weekend away for myself and the Geo wife up in Goldie to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.
We rented a beautiful apartment and spent the weekend exploring the area for Geo caches as well as visiting the Wineries and Gin Distilleries.
We managed 20 caches over the weekend and had zero did not finds which must be a first for me.
Also picked up one travel bug which is one i dropped off far away a few months ago elsewhere. They are certainly getting rarer to find.
Thanks for the cache and the hide

Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. Advice is to stay home and geocaching is just a game. Geocaching encourages non essential travel and contact transmission is an issue so it is the responsible thing to avoid caching at the moment.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Find #2383 for me. Found at 12:44 pm while visiting the area from Bendigo. I'm going on a cache hunt. I'm going to find a good one. What a beautiful day! I'm not scared. Uh-uh! Grass! Long wavy grass. I can't go over it. I can't go under it. Oh no! I've got to go through it! Swishy swashy! Swishy swashy! Swishy swashy! And not long after that, success! I've had this one on my watch-list for quite some time now so happy to finally get the chance to make the find and tick it off! Thanks for highlighting the fantastic old mill feathertop and thanks for the cache!
Found it. Access overlooking the beautiful Mill, be careful as it can get slippery.
