dragonZone: Winter is Coming
Home
Game Period: 01-Jun-2015 00:00:00 to 31-Jul-2015 23:59:59 AEST
Winter is Coming is all about geocaching during the cold weather, the challenge of controlling dragonZones and your own obsession with completing goals and earning dZPoints. These challenges and points are in addition to your normal dragonZone points. Your normal dragonZone points will also be accrued towards your total in this game.
There are a number of different challenges to choose from during this game. Some will be easy. Some will be tough. Some may be impossible. Challenges can be accomplished more than once. The game software will calculate your points as you log your geocaches at Geocaching Australia. Challenges are there to give your points a boost and you are not required to achieve any challenge in order to participate in the game. Simply being a dragonZone game member will allow you to participate. Once you have collected your first points in the game, you will appear on the ladder. All points collected from all dragonZone activities will count towards your position on the ladder. This includes standard finds, daily dZPoints, challenge bonus points, trophy points and any points awarded by the game administrators.
The ladder is broken down into ranks. You will appear on the ladder under your own rank. As your rank improves you will move onward and upward in your new rank. This may move from you from a high position in your own rank to a lower position in your new rank. Beware the small fish in the new pond. It may get eaten by the larger fish who dwell therein.
You must be a dragonZone member to participate. Choose a clan to participate.
Only dragonZone caches are available to the game unless the requirement clearly states an exception. dragonZone caches are all physical caches as well as TrigPoints and Burke and Wills caches even if they are only virtual types. Locationless caches (unless execpted), webcams, events, virtual caches are not available to the game.
Caches you log for the game must be logged before the end of the game to be eligible for dZone points.
There are 29 challlenges. With the exception of the 4 streak challenges, challenges can be achieved more than once. The same cache can also be used for more than one challenge.
The game tracking mechanism relies upon your honesty when logging your caches. Players who continually log inaccurate information will be disqualified from the game.
The games administrators reserve the right to provide clarifications to the rules at any point during the game.
