Gallery of log for THE ANIMALS YOU SEE WHILE CACHING
We found this snake inside the container for GC2MW3Z: Back Roads M1 (old F3) - Cooranbong
Here is the original log:
We were driving up the M1 and needed a break with some back roads so we thought we would make a quick stop at this cache, which turned out to be a not so quick stop.
Being on the side of a busy road the kids stayed in the car while Mum and Dad wandered over to GZ whereDad made a quick find and decided to take the lidless container back to the car to show the kids.
Dad poured the contents onto the driver's seat and out came an unintended guardian.
The base of the rusty container broke off when it was used as a tool to try and usher the snake out of the car while Mum unbuckled all the kids and evacuated the vehicle. In the meantime the snake had found it's way through the front seat and into the middle row where it was busily borrowing through the rain jackets, shoes and toys and under the kid's seats.
Out came all the detritus, the baby seats and the booster seats with no sign of the snake. Luckily the middle row of seats can be popped up and Dad managed to locate the snake hiding under them. An umbrella was used to usher the agitated snake out the side of the car, which then proceeded to hang around and watch the long process of re anchoring all the child seats and reloading everyone back into the car.
It might not have been a massive snake but it was enough for us. Probably wasn't even dangerous but we weren't taking the chance.
Thanks for the cache!
