26-Oct-23
Found whilst on a touring trip with my daughter who has been living in Queenstown for the last 6 months for the ski season. On our way to Auckland to fly back to Australia. We have been travelling for 2 weeks so far with 1 week to go. We have both found New Zealand to be a truly magical place and talk about coming back again.Love this cache. Very cute hide in another amazing location. TFTC.

Found whilst on a 3 week touring trip with my daughter. The first day I got to New Zealand my daughter made me try L&P. We are both fans now and hope we can find it somewhere when we get back to Australia. Did not anticipate this cache. We were just driving by and had to stop when we saw the big bottle. I thought it would be an excellent place for a cache. Checked and voila! TFTC.

Finished the drive with a find. Thanks for showing us this lovely country drive.

26-Jan-20
Figured out the puzzle with a muggle friend who also saw what I thought I saw. Found the correct tool to finalise the decryption and we were off in the van for the slow (for us) trip up the mountain. 1st stop was the Skywalk which was a very well maintained introduction to the Australian rainforest. Although I’m not too fond of heights I still enjoyed the experience. Then we were back in the van for the rest of the trip to GZ. Had some lunch across the road then went and grabbed the cache. TFTC. Left a peg. PS. Grabbed some fudge before we went back down the mountain. Peppermint. YUM.

Spotted this one easily enough but I sent geohubby to retrieve. He was happy to play the monkey whilst I signed the log. Whilst this was being done a group of about 10 rumbling bikers when past. One of them tooted his horn. I wonder if he knew what we were doing in that “random” location. TFTC. Left a peg.

Doing a bit of research and reading earlier logs on this one intrigued me. So, had to go and see for myself. We stopped in the appropriate area and got severely stared at by the group of cows over the fence. Stared back. Then off to find the cache. This one was “surprisingly” easy to find by geohubby and aptly named. TFTC. Left a peg.

Geohubby knew what this piece of equipment was as soon as we pulled up. It is a timber jinker for removing logs from the bush. He was determined to find the cache first but went round the wrong side and I had the cache in my hand very quickly. Sorry babe. Alls fair in love and geocaching. Signed log (which needs replacing) and left a peg. TFTC.

25-Jan-20
I think I found it. But I think the fires got there first.

Geohubby spotted this cache as soon as we stepped up to the fence. I could tell because he was smiling at me in that funny “I know something you dont know kinda way”. He let me “find” it while he checked out the collection. An excellent well kept display of pieces from bygone days. TFTC.

What a beautiful cottage. Very well looked after. First time I have seen a cache like this. Figured it out pretty quickly with a little help from the comments. Now we are off to have coffee and breakky at Linda’s. then we are heading north for Aust Day. TFTC. Left a peg.

Found the cache. Also found the Yowie. See photo attached. We were just about to sign the log when we were engaged in conversation by one of the locals. He was just about to “set up” the local hall for Australia Day celebrations tomorrow. He was a quintessential cattle farmer of the area and was happy to discuss everything from the recent fire events, the amount of rainfall recently, the excavation of a lot of dams in the area I preparation of the coming rain (fingers crossed), the best way to manage the forests and national parks in the future and the best spots to camp. He was a beautiful, intelligent and community minded soul. I’m calling him Wes from Woodenbong. (I don’t know his real name). We spent 15-20 minutes “having a good old fashioned chat” before we had to excuse ourselves to continue our journey. What a great find. And I’m not just talking about the cache. People are amazing aren’t they? Love this town. We will we back. Signed log. Took nothing. Left a peg.

Quick easy find after staying overnight at the adjacent campground. Nice big flat grassy areas. Friendly early morning sheep and alpaca. On our way north over Mt Lindsay Hwy to see friends for Aust Day celebrations. TFTC. Left a peg.
