. . It was really all about the destination , so much so we forgot the pen. !
I’m hoping the cache owner will allow us to log with a photo. ?

Thank you so much for placing this cache and showing us this place. It’s awesome.

We travelled down Sheep Station Creek Road and then through the 3 closed gates on Masons Road to access the CFA track.
( for future reference for others , Masons Road is a public road and access is allowed, just shut the gates as you go ) .
The CFA track is DEFINITELY a 4wd track and fortunately we were able to drive on this far before the track became to challenging.
Once at GZ we sauntered down along the creek to GZ and embraced the views and and admired the wonderful waterfall.
We reflected upon the escapades of Aaron and Joe and their involvement in this piece of Australian history. .

. . What struck us as truly sad was that 2 great mates , life long childhood friends ended in such a tragic outcome.

Thank you again for bringing us here. Cheer’s

This was a DNF for us ( but we didn’t look too hard either ). . It was really all about the destination.

The CFA track is DEFINITELY a 4wd track and we pulled up about 2km shy of GZ and walked the remainder due to track conditions.
Once at GZ we climbed the rock and embraced the view and reflected on young Neds’ escapades . Villain or Hero it’s all an amazing part of Australian history .
Thank you again for bringing us here. Cheers

Visiting the island to do a bit of maintenance. All ok. Still unfound.

In the area and inspected the cache. Found that BJD SPORTS had placed their own log sheet in the vicinity in November and claimed the find which subsequently gave all the following finders an incorrect find.
Removed the log sheet and checked on the original cache. Now All ok.

Visited Deal Island by Jet ski again today.
A stunning day to be out there. A brisk walk up to the lighthouse tested the stamina.
I visited the museum as well and checked on the cache. All is exactly as it had been placed.
A lovely cup of tea with the light house keepers before heading off again. .

Maintenance check. A stunning day provided an ideal opportunity to duck out here today . I was surprised to find 6 other people out here ahead of us, all cray fishing.
A cache check, all ok and still waiting on a ford.

Eventually we got there.
Logged with permission as no pen handy.
Cheers.

Gday Buddy
I’m in the area and I don’t think I’ve found a cache in 18months ... but I couldn’t resist a tacklehead cache and I love the Mad Max series. No pen .. so logging with a photo with permission.
Cheers.

Out here on holidays and completed this climb today with the family.

Out at Deal island today and
met and spoke to Lynne from New York the current lighthouse Keeper.
Checked on the cache once again.
All is as it was left in perfect condition.
Should anyone be looking for this container ... you do not have lift 1 rock, stone , paver , move anything or disturb any fixture or fitting.
The cache is in plain sight.
This island is just a stunning part of the world.
I hope you enjoy your visit.
