Logs for Donnacha

09-Mar-20
Thanks again to everyone for attending. All TB's I took have been dropped into [GC43](https://coord.info/GC43) and hopefully should already be on the move.

22-Feb-20
My last cache here which I found en route to the airport to catch a flight back to Ireland, so this cache was rather appropriate! TFTC.

21-Feb-20
Found while visiting the island today. Took the TB. TFTC.

20-Feb-20
Found after visiting Haruru Falls. I legged it quickly up the track as we had to hit the road back to Auckland. Happily found the cache quickly and enjoyed the view before legging it back. TFTC.

Found with the gang after attending my event nearby. TFTC.

Thanks to everyone for attending, it was great to meet you all. I hope you all enjoyed the mini Guinness pints!

19-Feb-20
Found en route to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Fantastic views at GZ, surprised cache doesn’t have many FP’s, so here’s one from me. TFTC.

Was having something to eat just down the rod so walked over after. Great views from the look out, TFTC.

Found on the way back from visiting the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Container I found (lots of signatures in log) wasn’t a mint tin but what looks like a tablet bottle with camouflage tape on it, didn’t match up with hint location. TFTC.

18-Feb-20
Was eating nearby so it would have been rude not to pop over and grab this! TFTC.

Well themed cache! Found after visiting the movie set. They won’t let you out the gate on foot so had to dive up the rod a bit and walk back. TFTC.

Found after visiting the caves which were just amazing, TFTC.

17-Feb-20
Found this one after some luging up at Skyline. TFTC.

Spent the afternoon enjoying the Polynesian Spa and when I was finished up took a stroll around the area picking up some caches including this one. Answers have been sent, thanks for the very enjoyable Earthcache.

Spent some time relaxing over at waypoint 3 so when when I was done went for a walk around picking up the information (sent to CO) as well as some other caches. TFTC.

I ignored the first stage as when I read the cache page it seemed it had everything you needed. Did the numbers and went off to have a look. Coordinates good and cache found, TFTC.

16-Feb-20
Log is full (still some room around the page edges) and could do with a new one. Sorry I had nothing on me.

Found after visiting the Lava Glass studio. I haven’t come across an Earchcache since I arrived that hasn’t disappointed, this place was amazing also. Information sent to CO, TFTEC.

Found after going for a ramble around the valley. Wow what an amazing place, outstanding scenery. TFTC.

15-Feb-20
Found after doing one of the tree walks which was just fantastic. Log is quite full so signed along the side. TFTC.

After spending a couple days in Auckland we rented a car to explore further a field. Surprised at the amount to water given that there has been no rain for 40 days or so. Information sent to CO. TFTC.

After spending a couple days in Auckland we rented a car to explore further a field. Grabbed this one before heading up to take a look at the falls. This is something that you normally wouldn’t see at a McDonald’s! TFTC.

13-Feb-20
Over for two weeks and while the wife is at work for the first week I get to go play. A few people had recommended that I visit the island and I am glad I listened. I had a fantastic hike. I am also glad I brought my hiking boots (they got a nice clean when I declared them on the way in!) as I had hiked on lava previously in Hawaii, so I knew they would make life easier.

I had to get in and out quick as a wasp had taken an interest in me! TFTC.

No hassle finding this one thanks to the big container. I was actually surprised my the amount of large containers I found today. TFTC.

Was surprised by the container, you don’t see many anymore. I use one for [GC43](https://coord.info/GC43) but it keeps on getting stolen recently. TFTC.

Had to get my Garmin out for this one as the phone was jumping all over the place. Found after a few minutes of searching and reading about a bearing in a previous log. TFTC.

All on my own at GZ so was able to find the cache quickly. TFTC.

Man it was hot at GZ, glad I found it quite quickly. I was amazed with the amount of large containers I found today. TFTC.

Another large container that made a quick find, TFTC.

Had a good look around the hint item but didn’t see the cache.

Loved the walk around the rim. Gathered the information and have sent to CO. TFTC.

Task answers have been sent onto CO.

Phone was very jumpy so I had to get the Garmin out which led me straight to it. TFTC.

Waited for everyone to head up the path so I could take a good look. I understood the hint but couldn’t find the cache unfortunately.

12-Feb-20
I had to interrupt a poor fella who was chilling out at GZ listening to some tunes. Was a tight fit for my big hands but I was eventually able to retrieve. TFTC.

This was my third attempt trying to get at this cache. On the two previous occasions there was a vehicle jammed right up against GZ which made it impossible to even look. Decided to come back after hours and it was third time lucky, it was where I thought it was. TFTC.

Had a fantastic morning walking around the park. This fella was one of the first I hit on the way in. TFTC.

Found this fella en route to Auckland Domain. Thanks for the interesting history lesson and TFTC.

Found before heading for a wander around the park. I had expected GZ to be closed off due to the last logs and no recent activity, however I was delighted to see GZ accessible again while I approached. Gathered the required information and sent to CO, pic attached. TFTC.

Out on a bit of a ramble around the domain today. Was focused on Geocaching today but I definitely plan coming back later and check out the museum. TFTC.

Really enjoyed this EC and visiting the various locations around the domain. Answers sent to CO and pic attached. TFTC.

Over visiting for a couple weeks and couldn’t pass up a golden oldie, there is not too many left and I am the CO of one myself, [GC43](https://coord.info/GC43). CO wasn’t kidding about reception, I can’t remember the last time when my Garmin didn’t lock first time! Found after a few minutes of searching, TFTC.

More of a “Did Not Look” than a “Did Not Find”. Stage 1 wasn’t accessible as there was a work crew putting up hoarding and scaffolding.

Had a fantastic time exploring the domain today. Enjoyed visiting all the locations then onto the final GZ. TFTC.
