Thanks Bunadoorian. The log book is a bit damp.

Thanks Bunadoorian. The closest ever find to home.

Thanks Artstukas. Nice and close to home.

Thanks Bunadoorian. That’s 4 for today. And for the year so far. And probably for the last 3 years.

Thanks Site Hunters. Found without too much hassle. Agree with previous comments about log book.

Came for s walk by the river without s pen. And woops left my purse in the car. That’s not good! At least on s sunny Tuesday midday it’s pretty quiet. How do u prove I was here? The last log was SSB on 25/7/9. At the bottom of the previous page was Bash on 16/7/18. I really was here.
Thanks. OGirl.

Thanks Bunadoorian. After a quick scout around under the eye of the builder washing down the footpath, I decided this could be the only place.

30-Jan-19
Thanks Bunadoorian. A nice easy find on a hot morning. OGirl

Thanks Firesafe. And thanks to the fireys! In Melrose for a few days. Mtb and R&R. From Melbourne. Off to the last part of the Australian Orienteering Carnival in the Adelaide Hills.

Thanks MelroseWildDogs. I’m in Melrose for just 3 days. I had already ridden past this tree twice and taken photos - what a beauty! I wonder how old it would be? - before I saw that there was a cache there.
I’m in SA from Melbourne for the school holidays for the Australian Orienteering Championships. The events for schools teams are during the week so I came to Melrose instead.

The Telstra signal dropped out when I got there. Bit of a memory effort to recall what the description had said. There is a lot of rubbish and broken glass do not. Very nice spot at present. But in the end an easy find. Tftc.

Well I haven't looked for many caches this year. Thought like maybe one more when I read about this one. So headed out but now can't figure out how this new app works! And the weather is a bit threatening. But I did get here. So thanks anyway.

Thanks folks. A late flurry for a year when I've done very little caching.

Thanks Team Tinkerberry. Second of yours for the day. Nice park.

02-Oct-17
Thanks Apsley168. No equestrians here today.

20-Apr-17
Thanks TeamBMMR. Here for world masters games next week. Can't afford an injury. Those rocks are mighty slippery. About to give up when I read the logs and decided I was in the right place. One more look and there it was!

Thanks Stu4. Nice easy find. No kite surfers today and the tide is a long way out with sun setting in the west. Visiting from Australia for would Masters Games.

Thanks. My first in NZ for this trip. World Masters Games next week. Orienteering.

26-Dec-16
Thanks HappyUke. Nice easy find despite the potential muggles climbing the nearby tree and playing on the adjacent swings. A rocket would have been a good addition.

28-Feb-16
My leap year find. Thanks Sipe78.

31-Jan-16
Nice easy find after a seminar morning. Thanks Kangadrew72.

17-Jan-16
Found with Nav Girl. Her first cache. The cache was lying open in plain view. We hid it but don't know exactly where you wanted it. Thanks Saltall.

06-Jan-16
Thanks Wesso Family. I was last here over 50 years ago. The road from golden beach petered out at the creek here. Very different. Having a few nostalgic days swimming and exploring.

A few muggles along this track today. Lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. Thanks BGs.

I'm usually good with 'hanging' but not this time. thanks anyway.

the logs warned me to look for a micro but still no luck. thanks anyway.

I'd barely got my bearings and was contemplating which side of the fence I should be when s Neighbour rushed out. "Are you looking for the GPS thingy? I'll show you where it is". So if was easier than it should have been. Thanks to BGs and neighbours!

Thanks BGs. A nice easy one.

In Ballarat to do some deliveries. Need a walk on a sunny Sunday. This one popped up first. Nice easy find. Thanks Ballaratgeocachers.

Ah tricky. You'd sucked me into a pattern! Thanks BGs

These all seem to have lovely new logbooks. Thanks Ballaratgeocachers.

Now if only the other hangers had been that obvious! Thanks BGs.

The snails love this spot! Thanks BGs.

I love the bluestone drainage system! And what are those old light poles between S and T lighting?? Thanks for bringing me along here BGs.

25-Sep-15
Thanks 2 Wanderers. Indeed a peaceful spot. By tomorrow there will be over 800 orienteers not far from here for the Australian Orienteering Championships.

I quickly found what looked like the hidey hole. There was a distractor inside, but no cache. Looks to me like it's gone. A nice place for a cache though ...

29-Aug-15
Nice easy find on a cold afternoon. Thanks kangadrew72.

27-Jun-15
There is an orienteering event here tomorrow. Wish you could join us. Tftc.

Thanks doc-who. About to get in the car after a lunch break when I thought: I wonder if there is a cache here?

In the area for NSW mountain bike orienteering championships this weekend. Staying at the nearby caravan park which I would NOT recommend. Is there a classification of negative stars? Went searching for the cache all prepared with paper wrapped in cling wrap but lo and behold a dry container and new and protected logbook!! So thanks lilla07. Bit of a distraction as I wait for my start time.

I'm the one who overtook Lost_and_Found_79 a couple of weeks ago and didn't find it: bit too much pressure knowing they were waiting in the wings, and I was in a bit of a hurry that morning. I did try to post a DNF message, but am having trouble doing that with the new version of the phone app. Anyway, today I needed to check out a problem with the bike (had my servicing fixed the problem?) so I headed out to try this one one more time. And had the cache in hand within 10 seconds of arrival. Just shows what another day can bring. Thanks rcmjh.

I wrote this log from my phone app - the logs seem to get uploaded if I've found the cache, but not if I'm entering a DNF! bit of a mystery. But I said: Well that's 3 dnfs for today. 3 strikes and I'm out. Lots of cachers about today. This is the second cache where I've done a tag team job. This next group is a dad and 3 boys. I wonder if they'll have more luck?

Either my gizmo is way out or the hint is wrong or it's gone. All the feasible trees have been cleared of concealing bark. Second DNF of the day. Perhaps I need to change the plan for afternoon! thanks anyway, daunts.

Thanks Coffee and Cache. After 2 dnfs this morning I needed an easy one.

Initially I got my hands dirty until I remembered the cache name. Then an easy but nicely camouflaged find. Have been checking control sites for a mountainbike orienteering event here on 7/2/15. One not far from here, also with a stump. Thanks Ron haha.

I'd seen the DNF messages soon after this one was published so I wasn't confident. And I don't have a metal detector.
I used to roam this area before the new housing estate. I'm very aware of the hundreds of kangaroos that have been displaced. So wasn't happy to disturb a grazing mob near GZ. And then I didn't find the cache. Sorry kangas!
Yesterday I disturbed a very large snake in Westerfolds Park. Very nervous about too closely exploring the crevasses here. Thanks anyway Ron haha.

Out for a ride. Need a break. I wonder if there are any caches near here? I used to cycle this path often before I moved 10 years ago. Never knew I'd been cycling over a heap if rubbish. Thanks Lorendo.

Have been in town for the east coast orienteering events. Nice spot though overcast and cool today. Thanks Jamesvdm.
