Found some friendly critters whilst at GZ definitely investing in some gloves. Not sure why I hadn’t thought of some before.

A Special Place

Cemeteries have an air of silence and deep reflection. A quiet place to sit awhile, to take a moment of reflection, appreciation and gratitude for those we love and those we have lost.

This is the 2nd cemetery I have visited now in my pursuit to find a cache. It’s been a great way to push myself out of my comfort zone at a particularly difficult time of year.

Loss can either consume us or lead us to a point of gratefulness. Loved ones who are lost should always carry a special place on our hearts but them not physically being with us should not stop us in our pursuit of happiness.

Today I sat a while, was thankful for years of wonderful memories and was pushed to visit a place that has always been difficult.

Mount Muirhead

Earth Cache is pretty awesome. It’s a credit to those who send us in search of the wonders around our local communities

Sad the old lookout is no longer, it used to be such a great place to visit with tourists and show them not only the incredible views but the astonishing Lady birds that were in abundance.

A favourite photo from years gone by was one I took of my daughter at this location and her wonderment of the lady birds and them delighting her by running onto her hands.

Thanks for reminding me of such a beautiful memory.
