Quick park and grab while driving back to Sydney from Byron, tftc!

what a magnificent place!
was super tired after long day at work, but no regrets after deciding to do the walk from the lighthouse, as we were travelling from far and were not going to stick around for much longer.

Drove up from Sydney for a work trip to inspect the Byron Bay rail road. Went into town for lunch and brought food over to the beach to eat and grab the cache.

Had limited time to poke around as a large group of kids arrived and I decided I can't handle it:))
Will stop by again some other time, but in the 5 minutes I poked and looked I couldn't find it:( even used the phone selfie mode

Found it but thought it was some rubbish at first. Log was wet, but that wasn't not a problem for my pen.

2nd attempt and hooray! Was looking through Google maps and that gave wrong coords. But this time looked at satellite image and from there it was pretty easy

I found puzzle to be surprisingly easy in a sense that i surprised myself with how many places i recognised, and glad i have visited one of the locations recently otherwise i would have not been able to solve it.
Retrieving the cache itself required some stealth, as muggle were walking up and down surprisingly too often for such a boring laneway! Also loved the creativity of the cache.

Realising I need tweezers to extract log made me feel less bad after I forgot my pen in the car

I climbed, I sweat, I climbed more, I walked in wrong direction, I climbed in wrong spots, I cried. I gave up
The final climb seemed to be way more difficult that terrain level suggested so I really did not know where else to go. I hope to get a hint from the CO and revisit the spot.
Truly an awesome lone adventure this ended up to be. I kept imagining myself dying here by myself and people looking for me Next time I shall grab another person just to be safe

I often travel Sydney - > Cobar for work, and we never go through this town as it's a a bit longer path. But this time I decided to make a stop, and did not regret this. Very cute town!

Found the cache on the floor near a tree. No sure where it's original location supposed to be because the hint about corner and where I found it did not make much sense, but ended up placing in a spot that shouldn't be took difficult to find.
Had fun posing with the cart and feeling awkward thinking truckies are staring at me funnily when driving past
