Logging with permission from GhostGums.

Visiting my sister on Stradebroke Island, which I, if possible, use to do every year, even that I'm from Denmark, I also would log some Caches and this was one of them. My sister moved fra Point Lookout to Aminty in 2014, so I have been here and walked The Gorge many, many times, it´s really a must to do, when you are on Straddie, but a walk on the beaches is also fantastic. When finish walking, have a ice cold XXXX Bitter on the other side of the road. Smile I love Straddie. #627

When I was here, I think it was in 2005, a young girl taken by bull sharks. She unfortunately died, so you should not go swimming here. There were some dolphins who fished just a few meters from me. I love Straddie. #625 - 11.00

Years ago, I found my father, that I had never known. He lived in New Zealand. I visited him at least once a year and enjoyed my trips there. My father died in 2010, but it was not just a father I had found, I had also found a sister here in Australia and it was my sister, I was going to see this time. I live in Denmark, but have been here many times, but it's only the last t last three years, I have been GeoCaching, and never on Stradbroke and in AUS. When I was going to choose my Geo-name, I was very surprised, that Straddie was available, so that was what I chose.

On my visit to AUS and Straddie, I wanted to log some Caches, and this was my log No. 8 in AUS. 10.50

We all know that we have a father and mother, but I had never known my father. I had looked for him several times, but without luck, but then one day, when I was sitting together with my friend Google, I came in contact with a guy, who did some genealogy. I contacted him and he could give me the information I needed. I found my father in New Zealand and a fantastic sister in Australia, so since start of the 2000, I have been in NZ and AUS many times.

I’m fascinated of Islands and since the first time I passed through Whakatane, I tried to come out to White Island. I tried four times, always by boat, but they were canceled because of bad weather.

The third time, I was told, that I could also go by plane or helicopter. There was no helicopter this day, but there was a plane. We were two, a Scotsman and I, and we had a really nice flight around the island, but of course we couldn’t land on the island.

The year after, I tried again, and again the boat was canceled, but this time I got a seat in a helicopter and got my wish fulfilled. Unfortunately, when you go by helicopter, you only have about 1-1,5 hour on the island, so I will try again to go by boat, the next time I pass by Whakatane.
