Logs for Super Snoop

14-Nov-09
On a road trip from NSW to QLD - We stopped for some very expensive petrol (The next petrol station up the road was 5c a litre cheaper however only discovered this after we filled up LOL). Took a stroll to stretch my legs in the park accross the road with the fountain.

Maverick 4X4 mentioned to me that he remembered there was a cache somewhere in the park and so I started snooping around. Did not have GPS so it made it a bit more interesting - Found a hole with a stick protruding??? I moved stick and low and behold a canister fell out!! Cache found, signed. Took nothing - left live aligator Razz - Thanks for the well placed cache - made the little rest stop all the more interesting Very Happy

This find was done with BOT - Could someone please tell me where the nearest public access is to the final cache point??? I am not sure if we took the long way around as when we asked the locals they advised the only way to get there was by boat??? However someone we saw from horsfield Rd managed to get down to the water front but the locals swore that there was no public access??? Oh well at least we got there in the end! Very Happy TNLN

Went to the movies today and saw National Treasure ... On the way back home I thought I would do a quick cache. Nice hide but not too hard to find.... was able to go straight to ground
zero Very Happy TNLN Thanks for the cache Very Happy

I have heard so much about this cache at events and how much fun or should I say frustration other caches have had with trying to discover this little cache.... that I finally decided to do this one myself..... I Should have attempted it long ago as it is in walking distance from work. But finally arrived at about 11pm judging from number of merry muggle's staggering up the street after the pub had finally closed. Well after waiting for the muggles to pass I then made my attempt to locate this ledgendry illusive cache... Well after reading the logs and a bit of detective work - Cache was sucessfully found! Thanks for the great hide. Very Happy

Had a really enjoyable evening... set up the tripod and took about 20 photo's over a period of about 2hrs.... The photo's were only on an ordinary pocket camera.... I am hoping by the time the next eclipse comes around I might be able to have a digital SLR to caputre the occasion. Here are a couple I took that night....

This was certainly an interesting location to make a hide.... definately alot of history here.... sought of made my skin crawl a bit.... maybe the legacy of "Mixed Nuts" lingers still.... Definately glad I went to find this one in the day in the company of the BOTC.... Safety in numbers I say..... Took quacking duck.....LOL and left Golf Ball and Penguine McDonalds toy and Travel Bug ROME TREVI Fountain PC3YQN. Made an interesting afternoon out. Thanks

What can I say .... typical girl forgot to check the clue and the oil LOL.... eventually found this one.... Mini Mav enjoyed the play on the tractor too. TNLN. thanks

Went for a little 4WD with BOTC and this one had me stumped for a good 10 minutes... I thought it was in the tree with the bee hive... but sadly mistaken..... A clever hide Very Happy
TNLN - thanks for the challenging cache!

What an enjoyable family day!! Thanks to everyone who attended and help organise such a great event! There was something for everyone. The kids had an action packed day dressed as pirates, treasure hunting and at play. The big kids also had a wonderful time with the time trial, searching out the more traditional caches, trading stories and going on the illusive christmas gift hunt. It was really great fun seeing everyone get so involved in the day and enjoying themselves so much... I got to meet caches new and old from near and far. I even managed to give the time trial a go very late in the day after most had gone home ... and to those who did not attend you missed a truely fun event... but dont dispair there is always next year!

Forgot to log left red sea skull and could not edit previous post to register red sea skull as being left at this cache. thanks

Nice easy walk and great view Very Happy
I was accompanied by Mini Mav 4x4 on my little hike.
Getting the hang of this geocaching thing LOL ...
Reasonably easy find. Left Travel Bug 542643 left red sea skull travel bug.

Super Snoop and Mini Mav 4x4 enjoyed our little stroll on the way there as it was all down hill. The views of brisbane water were enjoyable too.... We even got a picture of a butterfly along the way...
Had to use the hint as there were just too many places this cache could be hiding.... Left matchbox car and took campers towel. Did not look forward to the hike back up the hill but it was not as bad as I thought it would be...
After travelling to Trafalga Square and Whitehall we decided to call it a day Very Happy
Thanks - Enjoyed the cache and the walk.

Just a quick thank you to the organisers of the Bathurst 24hr Event! The time and effort you took to plan the event was appreciated and it paid off as it seemed to run smoothly. You were all very welcoming and made it a really fun weekend!! Just wish it had been a 48hr event instead as it went so quickly. Had a ton of fun seeking out all those hidden micro's and dodging bees.... in the hope of obtaining those illusive green and pink rings.... Have logged the two travel bugs I took.

Thanks to Bronze and Blue Dog and the boys for catching up with us in Dubbo for dinner - an enjoyable evening and loved the venue you picked Very Happy

Thanks for the advice on when to visit the zoo - we had an enjoyable three days in Dubbo too....

Discovered this one on the way home from the Bathurst 24hr event - got quite a few prickles along the way walking from the rest stop to the cache sight. Fairly easy find. Considered doing nude up for a smiley as well due to the number of prickles I found in my trousers on return to the car.... LOL ... but decided to save the smiley one for another day.... Put in Grey Dragon and took out Mc Donalds toy. thanks
