Logs for Ulito

This years summer holiday was dedicated to visiting dear friends in the Czech Republic. We also spent a few days in Prague. Always nice to come back to this wonderful city!

Made this Virtual during a rainy day.

Thanks for the cache!

Our mission today was to finish the F1 Grand Prix on foot. That was a great choice, we enjoyed the walk very much!

The circuit took us 62 minutes, which is a tiny little longer than Schuhmacher's record, but fast enough for us! The walk brought us many great views across the lake and to the skyline. We made a brief shift in sports watching a cricket match, which we didn't understand, so we continued. Soon after that, we had reached GZ and enjoyed the nicely camoued box.

Thanks for guiding us around the circuit and greetings from Germany!

Our mission today was to finish the F1 Grand Prix on foot and this lap had a few bonuses also. This one was one of them. Took us quite some time to find it, it has a great camouflage! But with some luck we suddenly had the container right in front of our eyes.

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

On our tour along the Great Ocean Road we stopped at Apollo Bay and I was able to find this cache here. I was rather lucky to find the right time, because seconds later a group of mugglers appeared.

This must be my southernmost cache ever, about 16.000km from home.

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

Yes indeed it's not twelve, but still enough to make it a fantastic place! After finishing our congress in Melbourne we enjoyed our free day on a tour along the Great Ocean Road. The highlights were the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge and I was happy about the Earthcaches here.

Thanks for that!

Last one our tour along the Great Ocean Road. A very quick one, despite the fact that I really don't like nanos!

If I ever get shipwrecked, it should be here! Can't imagine a more scenic place to get washed ashore.

Thanks for the EC!

As public transport is free in parts of here my myki was still rather full and I decided to visit the two Virtuals in South Melbourne. This site is not very spectacular, but they used to have spectacular neighbors here. I can well imagine what happened here the time the guys lived here.

Thanks for the virtual and greetings from Germany!

As public transport is free in parts of here my myki was still rather full and I decided to visit the two Virtuals in South Melbourne. I had some issues finding the plaque as it is not very obvious. I wonder how many non-geocachers recognize it. And interesting and kind of sad story! I liked the area very much!

Thanks for the virtual and greetings from Germany!

Had solved the puzzle at home in Germany already and was quite hopeful to make the find today, but had no luck. If I return someday, I'll try again.

Thanks for the nice puzzle! At least I learned something new!

I don't want to say this one was easy, but I had an idea after reading the hint and this idea was correct. The rest was a question of stealth.

Thanks for this nice hide and greetings from Germany!

Wow, that was really impressive! I would have never found this place without the cache, so I'm really happy it guided me here. After watching the artworks and the sprayers I made a quick grab thanks to the hint.

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

I had waited some time to get myself on big screen, but they were showing comic movies there all the time. After a while I figured out, that there is free Wi-Fi available and so I managed to at least get a webcam image of me. I know such kind of caches under a different icon, wonder why it doesn't have this one here.

Thanks and greetings from Germany!

After a failed attempt yesterday due to too many mugglers I was successful today. When trying to put back the cache, some other tourists asked me to take pictures of them, so it was delayed a bit. Nice camouflage!

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

When I arrived at the coordinates I was really surprised what I found here. A very cool arrangement! I love fossils since I accidentally found one in a limestone quarry in Germany during a study trip with my university. It wasn't as spectacular as the ones here, but still cool!

Thanks for the interesting and unusual EC!

Had solved the puzzle back home and now it was finally time to get the box. On a little afternoon walk I discovered a really beautiful place, which was unfortunately occupied by a guy on a bench. As I'm a patient man, I was able to wait long enough to get the box out without being seen.

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

After exploring the area around finders station and visiting the graffiti sprayers at Hosier Lane it was time to see what St. Paul's Cathedral is made of. Although granite is not an exotic material, it was interesting to see the different colors.

Thanks for the EC!

A nice evening stroll after finishing work. I saw several couples preparing for their wedding. Seems to be a popular place here for that. The cache was an easy find.

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

On our Great Ocean Road trip we stopped at this famous photo spot and I was able to sneak away from the group to find this little box.

Another piece of art we visited while in Melbourne on business. Liked the other one more, but still this is quite nice. The nickname is rather funny!

Thanks for another virtual and greetings from Germany!

Another nice evening in Melbourne. After we had finished our work the way led us to the shrine. Quite an impressive monument! We liked to explore its geological background and also to walk in the park afterwards.

Thanks for the EC and the quick answer!

After walking a bit up and down the bridge and looking from different angles we could finally spot the box. Still the problem remained on how to get it. The first attempt failed, but the second was successful without spoiling my business outfit (but it was close).

Thanks for the nice hide and greetings from Germany!

Despite millions of mugglers around us it was surprisingly easy to get the cache without being seen.

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

After finishing business at the nearby congress it was finally time for more funny things. So we took a stroll along the river and looked for some caches. I had solved this puzzle back home in Germany, which was quite funny. The final wasn't too far off our route. Luckily the previous finder left the box so that a tiny part could be seen, so I knew where to grab as soon as the mugglers had disappeared.

On my jetlag stroll through Melbourne this one was an easy find due to a very precise hint.

A very quick one on my midnight stroll across Melbourne. Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

This kind of puzzle wasn't new to me, so it was easily solved back home in Germany. On my jetlag stroll in the middle of the night (at least in Aussie time), I walked to GZ and searched quite a long time. This was because I first misread the hint as "black sign". After noticing my mistake it was easy. Afterwards I noticed how well the riddle fits to the hide.

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

Came here during a jet lag stroll at 2 pm German time. The only mugglers around were a few rats passing by. Quite a peaceful setting for an Earthcache, but I couldn't see much of the river. At least I found the answers easily.

Sent answers to CO and received one of the funniest logging permission mails ever. Please send my regards to the bald guys!

Thanks for the EC!

On my night stroll along the Yarra I passed this spot and immediately knew what to do. It took me another while to actually do it. I was careful enough not to have to swim and I was happy about this little thrill in the evening!

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

Another night of jetlag, but this time I decided to spend it on something nice, so I looked for some caches around the hotel. This one was the first. As it was middle of the night, I had plenty of time for investigating the object and I needed it. Finally I had the box in my hands.

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

My first cache in Australia! Traveling here for business for one week, I had prepared well, so that I was able to find a few caches down under. Our first stroll in Melbourne led us the Yarra. It's surprising that it's so quiet down here with all the hustle and bustle just a few meters away on Fed Square.

Thanks for the hide and greetings from Germany!

Yes, that's definitely art, and nice one too! On our evening stroll along the Yarra we needed to visit this rare cache type. It wasn't easy to find the plaque, but we managed.

Thanks for the virtual and greetings from Germany!

After a not successful attempt on a multi and the successful ascent to the giant artificial trees we needed a little rest. Therefore I took a seat on the wooden crocodile and admired the petrified wood. The logs are really beautiful. Back home I read a lot about how petrification works which was really interesting!

Thanks for the EC!
