Crescent Heads is fast becoming one of my favourite places to spend some time when traveling between Queensland and Sydney. Camped here for three nights this time so decided to try for a few caches.

Here to walk the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail, but a wander around the sights of Kingscote comes first. This island is so peaceful. Love it already!!

It's a beautiful day on the mountain. Such a shame I'm on my way home. 

I camped at Hardings Paddock a few weeks ago but didn't walk this way. So today, after a visit to the Railway Workshops Museum with my grandbabies, I decided a brisk walk was needed to re-set, and it's worked. 

Out to re-set my mind-space, picking up this cache along the way. 

Dug deep underneath both black and white pipes with no success.

I came over this way to catch a glimpse of the progress on the Toowoomba bypass, and picked up this one as a bonus.

A great weekend camping out with Bertie Lissie, checking out a town I hadn't known existed. Nice walks, interesting history, abundant wildlife, peaceful camping and a couple of geocaches thrown in for good measure.

Walked over from Hungry Campground in the national park. This is such a beautiful part of the world. The view back towards the campground and the sand dunes is sensational as it is looking south.

I managed this find by 'riding on the coat tails' of my brother's hard work. It's a beautiful place here, one that I regularly visit. We live in a very lucky country. TFTF. 

I've climbed the castle many times but never gone to this section. Thank you. 

A beautiful morning in Redwood. Thank you for encouraging me to walk down into this park again - something I've deliberately avoided since TRC completed its 'trail upgrade.' The birdsong was amazing. 

Earlier this year the Toowoomba Regional Council decimated the Redwood Forest Trail and some significant parts of Toowoomba's history by clearing a road, up to 20 metres in places, down the escarpment. Only remnants of the original trail remain and some of us still use these sections as an alternative path. Thank you for placing this cache in an area that will encourage people to look beyond the walk and see the forest. Very nearby is the Eagle Nest spring and info board. Did you know there used to be a zoo between this point and Prince Henry Drive too? 

I was in Brisbane today to visit my grandson, born this morning. What a delight! But even babies and their mothers need rest time, so I spent the afternoon walking the My Coot-Tha trails in the rain. 

This is the town I grew up in, 'The Best Little Town on the Downs'. There are so many great memories based around what was our playground. TFTC.

This cache had about 1cm in the bottom and the log is quite damp.
