This one has been on my to-do list for almost a decade. Have driven past previously but not a . Today was a and find With Bladz and Firekitten.Tftc

Driving past today on way for an overnight at Tautuku Hut. Solved with help most probably ages and ages ago.Found with Bladz and Firekitten Thanks

We headed to Tautuku Hut this afternoon. A party of 4 so carrying in a tent Incase people already there. It actually took us as a group 4.5 hours to get there. We as a group are not the fasted and with the steep boggy trees over track etc etc took its toll. They want ay out next took 3.5 hours still slippery as and steep. At the hut there were 11 people and one golden Labrador. So the boys got the tent, I got the porch, my helper a floor space inside. The other family of Three had a .Back to cache.... I manually load data to my GPS so was surprised that the data loaded the other day was not showing and the nearest cache was 40 km away. So now hope of finding it diminishing. To my there was great phone coverage so found after a little search along the cliff edge .On way out the coverage soo good photos were able to be sent real quick.... So now did not have to return yah!!!.Great bush though.Tftc and bringing us out here PS I did a big uncontrolled slip 20m from the end of track going out.Found with Bladz and Firekitten.

I wonder what penguin tastes like after all the orcas love them but maybe they haven't tried duck but I would think the feathers would get in the way Well solved this ages ago and today was first time in ages out this way. Heading for a night in Tautuku Hut.With Bladz and Firekitten Tftf

A sailor went to c c c to c what he could c c c and all that he could c c c was the bottom of the big blue c c c.O have had the help to solve this for ages and did solve it. So today on a y5/6 camp bus pickup from Omaui the bluff maritime museum was on the way home. So parked bus and went for a wander. There is a big wood box at gz leave it alone, a trap for rodents. After a little search in rain spotted it. Used the container ring to extract log.It was hard to roll log back into a roll when things were a bit damp with rain.Tftpc

I managed to get final cords from looking at s several google images of the famous directional so today was the day to walk to it.Driving school Y6/7 to camp at Omaui then onwards to Bluff where they were to do a walk have lunch then return... To tire them out a bit so I joined in and took a side track to get to this.Fav for the puzzle and container.

02-Oct-24
The only available place about this area where there are lots of trucks keeps on getting almost annual haircuts and the cache goes with the trimmings. So just incase someone eventually places a TB in it I do not want it to go missing so have decided to negate that risk and archiving

01-Oct-24
This had been on my nah to solve since publication. Found after PAF and different PAF several times. So after finding out how many switches I needed to switch set about trying them. Then I was shared other vital info but decided to persist in using switched in certitude to get a solution. Most of those are mine and ran out of what I needed to switch then realized I had missed so many combinations. Found on my second look I was about 20 m from what I had been shared. Log signed. Now to wait for more inspiration about pie revisited.

After the post card event I went for a walk among many birds. Swans with cygnets riding on their parents backs, white egret. Then found this cache which I am sure that I had help in solving a while ago.Tftpc

Attended and had inspirational chat with the others for puzzle solving. Ate food, took along a post card....the last one we got. From Slovenia featuring a big cave that has a train inside. Thanks to co for organizing Now for a walk among the birds by oxidation ponds. Swans with cygnet family riding on backs, white egret. Did not want to get too close to swans.

To say that I solved this all by myself would be a gross exaggeration. Many conversations were had with who and who and who after my initial 8 correct names and one correct but for wrong clue and another got person right but using wrong parts of name sort of. Then after all names another hint on how to read them all. Then a little tweek to get a tick. I think I am one of the names but I do know there is another cacher with part of my name. Initially thought it had to do with the band's 8th release but nope. Interesting and sad the year following the release of album.Today was the day to look for this and also to get an equinox souvenir. Actually did not have to travel very far on mrs SIB bike(mine still has foot issues).Looking forwards to many more puzzles like this one!Ah well now to look at the latest pie revisited series.

Quick park n grab in the very cold wind. Snow on the hills

14-Sep-24
I have driven past several times. But a cacher found this cache and discovered a TB of mine that has been missing since 7.4.2021. It must have been placed by the previous finder as they were at the cache in the west coast when my TB must have been taken without being logged out.

10-Sep-24
I was not at the event where a special box was showcased so resorted to manually flicking switches. Then saw an addition a spreadsheet that was only a view only so you could not actually do anything much. So back to switching switches then a few days ago one had a different message....YAHHHH. So today took a slight detour to my usual town stuff and found it. Now for the 16000 switch puzzle.

I should be able to attend.

I was expecting cache to be on a bridge where if you dropped log it was forever gone...or in a nasty flaxbush but no;so the find was rather simple tweezers used. But the solve a little more involved and extra prods needed. He nui ake taku hiahia mo tenei waimarieSo TFTPC

While solving this TT puzzle was thinking that a 26 jidji puzzle or a 26 stage multi would be easier, so kept on working on it. In desperation got a big prod hint from another so tried that but I over thought things and had no results so tried another same info but expanded a little. Back to all those letters and sentences but not over thinking this time and got a tick. At GZ there is a great kneeling bag to use while opening container Thanks. Fav point for container.

02-Sep-24
After the first DNF I checked GZ and it was in place. I even made clue better. I would still say that it is still there after the second DNF from a person trying to find their first, It is NOT a hard one to find.

The plant trimmers have struck again and swept clippings and container shield and cache up.

This was not an easy solve. Needed to PAF for inspiration as wearing my Bletchley Park Shirt did not help. I would say the DT rating seriously under rated maybe 10/2 would more fit. Never the less the big chess match, going by both photos the CO white maybe very close to being checkmated. Found on the third time at GZ. Not easy in late afternoon with the low sun streaming into the hollow.

Needed to PAF for this for some inspiration. I had played around with possibilities almost getting it, well the same method but wrong. So looking at it now it just jumps out at you and I think pretty easy really. The GZ is a real rubbish dump spot bottles plastic bottles tires spoon. After a good search of low low things did not find. Today with more information got it out and log signed. I had actually looked at that lided spot.TFTPC

Been a long time disabled. Now with more instructions and for Premium only as the container took ages to prepare.Tweezers needed compulsory.

26-Aug-24
After some thinking after my write note log I thought that with my floating to pole option aka kayak I still may be to low down and need to stand up in it to reach container...not a wise thing to do. So plan B the one I used for the older wading in mud cache. So went for it with fresh planks. Success but had to leave one shorter plank at post as I could not unstick it. Quick trip in and out. TFTC sure. Not too muck mud on boots and leggings 100mm

18-Aug-24
That took ages to find. Needed a tott to extract log.Replaced and on to the next on a bike ride in the sun

I needed a Guide to help with understanding where to find a translator for this gibberish.Makes me wonder what food they are getting high on during club.So solved a couple of days ago. Was planing to get yesterday but the rain. So after a few chores went for bike ride to get this and a string of others over the bluff rails line.

I can imaging getting real wet going for this on a real high tide.I am sure it won't be muggled soon as you need to be able to be good at caving unless you like wet feet Good place for it.TftcBike ride in the sun....as much as it was today

Quick find on the bike trail

I remember this as a tree. I suppose been a while since went past here.Tftc

Yep a simple drive up and find without needing a long tool. And once solved thinking why did that take soooooo long, I can only attribute that to thinking too hard and doing too much googling. In the area doing some stuff nearby.TFTPC

Solved after a bit of thinking and communicating. Today had some spare time in this part of town so went for a short walk. Ambulances, I have had the pleasure of riding in two. First was years ago resulting in an operation a week later then another a month later. Second was a couple of weeks ago arriving at airport and suddenly feeling crook ended up going to Kew got out several hours later, inner ear issues apparently.. Hospital car parking. Usually I am dropping equipment off, walkers wheel chairs...wheel them in leave them in the special area then walk out healed. But finding a park is madness, far too few spots to park.TFTPC fav for container

Needed to walk after the food event. Was in the gz searching hi and low when others also arrived to get this one Soon was in hand and signed.Tftp

Finally put pen to paper on this. After the event here walked to gz to refind this. Last time here was evening after work. Found got log out with pen which broke and would no longer write. Claimed a photo find. Then spent next 3/4 hour finding track in the dark Today while fosiking about searching Ruru arrived and spotted it in seconds.

Arrived to see the table spread ,things rr cooking that are baked.Great turnout with new and old cachers. One being grilled for confirming possible solutions to a new mystery, which is usually common at gatherings.Cannot wait for next culinary event Tftp. (Thanks for the party)

Nabbed this on way home this evening. Approached from wrong direction and did not want to do a 180 around the monument so parked up and dodged traffic to GZ. Used a tott to extract log but did not really need to.Tftc an easy one where maths and logic or non logic is needed.

I should make this event with some RrrrrrsYum stuff home made

On a Pathfinder club camp this weekend so won't make it.Some one else's duck can now be last instead of my lazy critter Camp finished a little earlier than originally planned due to a car wash fundraiser some of the staff were involved in. They left after breakfast leaving the rest of us to clean out the Scout camp. Then we visited Pourakino Picnic grounds to see a Pier abutment and walk the loop track. Grass at the picnic grounds were white. Managed to front up at the event as everyone was moving towards vehicles and maybe a late breakfast. Caught up with our NSW guests.

Found on way back to scout camp after a walk towards to gold mining battery, which we chose not to go past the first big stream.Found with I.Pathfinder.C and bladz. Bladz found it first Tftc
