Today Trimbletas and I had a action packed day of caching planned. We started by doing some caches around Ulverstone then we moved onto Sheffield then it was off to climb the gog range to get the cache at the top and attempt to drive to granta pools which we did successfully. The two walkers that were at the pools were rather surprised when the bullbar of the ute came round the corner. After having a chinwag with them and grabbing photos, We then headed for lake McKenzie road so trimbletas could find the sail boat series. Did a maintenance check of all caches as he found them. Once completed we climbed up to lake McKenzie where we stopped to hide some moveables and locate the trig just off the road. Searched for a couple of other caches one the way back home. Overall a great day out was had. TFTC

Both of us searched with torched everywhere in a 15m radius around GZ but the cache is defiantly not there. given it hasnt been found since 2013 we didnt have high hopes.
This needs checking.

After 30 mins of acting like and thinking like wombats Mr T finally found this cache. I had pulled the plug and returned to the car as the rain and cold had set in. Mr T was still searching and came up triumphant. No view today as low cloud cover, the power lines where humming and mocking us as we searched. TFTC

Sounds like it has been pushed way back further than it was originally....but at least it's a safe hide. Great that you finally nailed it too Swampy....cheers.

Nemesis be gone!!
Since I was in the general area I decided to go grab a couple of caches that have been on my list for a long time, this being one of them.
This is, at least, the third time I have visited this cache and this time I was determined to find it (after TipTopTas found it the same day I didn't).
So I remember something about where it should be, both from the log and from a phone call to the owner just after the last DNF, but I'm still unable to locate it. Back to the van and read the log and made sure I understand it.
Back out and fighting my way through that long grass and the weedy plant thingy and this time I have a torch, even with the bright sun light today. Cache was found after a poke around with my hiking pole and the familiar dull thud sound of a hollow plastic container being hit. No wonder I couldn't find it before.
Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks sirius for an extraordinary view and a good hide.

Ah the satisfaction, we found one team TTTBWECT didn't after following in their trail all day Dancing

It wasn't too hard to find after a lot of searching around the wombats doorstep and giving up. Boy those wombats like to soil their doorsteps.

After concluding that it obviously wasn't in the wombat hole we widened our search slightly. If the wombat had a neighbor he would live here. The cache is well concealed by needles but poke about in a dry spot where there is a rock and an out of place looking stick and you won't be long in claiming your reward.

Cache is in good condition, TNLN.

This was our last cache of the day, shame we never caught up with TTT and Swampy would have been nice to meet the people who signed all the logs just moments before us. Perhaps next time.

Please check this cache and if it is still where it should be maybe update the hint to narrow the search area down slightly.....lots of possible residences

Looked high, low and everywhere in between and no luck on this one. Swampy was getting very frustrated as this is his second time trying to find it.

This is the second time I've looked for this cache and this time I had another set of eyes and a pair of torches with me. we searched for about 25 minutes before Tim Tam called it.
Love the view though!

Spent an hour looking in all the likely and other spots without luck. The leeches found us without any problems. Will be back for another go as it must be there. Gps settled to an obvious area but nothing and knowing Sirius the co-ords would be spot on. Thanks Sirius

Although we found the general area of GZ quite easily, there were so many possible hiding spots that it took us a little while to find the cache - cetainly a good, dry hide. Thankfully we didn't have to disturb any wombats although there was certainly ample evidence that they visit the area. A great view over the valley as the sleety showers came in from the south west. 2008-10-04 21:10 DNF - Searched for about 20 minutes, could see lots of hidey holes but no cache. Perhaps the resident has moved it?

Number 3 on the way to Gorgeous Forth on a pleasant Sunday afternoon,s drive. Fell over 3 times when looking, otherwise I would have rated it "Top Cache", but because of the falls I'm only rating it "Worth Stopping". TNLNSL

Feeling a little down after failing at Gorgeous Forth, but this one was found easily and FTF put a bounce back in my step.
Lovely views on a calm sunny morning
Thanks Sirius.
