Description
Canberra train history
The cache is not at the listed coordinates
The puzzle is
S35 11.A(B-2)(C-3) E149 34.(D-1)(E-5)(F-4)
The railway line runs not too far from ground zero. I have had a couple of trips on the train to Sydney and its interesting to see where the line runs through the countryside. To solve this puzzle you will need to find a list of trains that ran from Sydney to Canberra and work out the missing numbers.
Federal City Express ran from Sydney to Canberra A7 Sep 1936 – 8 May 195B
Canberra Monaro express ran from Sydney to Canberra and then to Cooma May 195C – Sep 198D
Canberra Express ran from Sydney to Canberra 31 May 19E2 – Jan 199F

What a frustrating afternoon. First I discovered that the corrected coordinates the description and the hint had not downloaded into Monty#2. Then when I did check for the right coordinates there was nothing at GZ so I contacted the CO who kindly pointed out that my supposedly corrected coordinates were in fact incorrect and she guided me to GZ where I at last found the cache. TFTC Joolay The log now carries my name.

Out and about with Tassie Trekkers finding caches and this was one puzzle we had solved prior to our visit to the big isle. Happy now to finally have a smiley face on the map. A lovely area for a drive. TFTP

Went out for a drive in the air-conditioning, being a bit sick or the heat all the time. Black Bunny and I thought we'd find a few caches out towards Goulburn.
Out with Just a cacher to grab some caches today and enjoy the cool of the car. A quick park and grab here today.
Thanks for the cache Joolay.

A little research by our team railway enthusiast soon had coordinates that the geochecker agreed with. Mr Y'stassie's farther was an engine driver for the TGR so we often visit railway museums and notice the wonderful old railway bridges that dot the countryside. Thdre are also some great old railway tressel railway bridges on some of the rail trails in Victoria. We even saw a train while we were in the area today.
At GZwe made a quick find of an interesting container. After a bit of a shake we had a log in hand. Container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Joolay for an interesting puzzle and cache.

#GA2247 - 12:35; Headed out with andrewbt and Sol de lune on a 'States of the Nation' mission across the border into New South Wales to plunder some treasure which has recently appeared around Mt Fairy. The plan was hatched with abt at a recent event and after the return of Sdl from OS the finer details all came together and today was settled on to head off on the scavenge. After a wrong turn early, we were now rolling along the dirt roads pretty well. Once at GZ, we looked out, but didn't see 'it'. We did see 'it' later on a bit further down the road though. What we did see here though was another nice large cache, which was what we were really here for anyway. TFTC Joolay

After a bit of time away it was time to head out and start grabbing a few of the new GCA caches with LuckyL10n and AndrewBT for the current Summer Game. Puzzle was solved last night in prep for our day out and once at GZ, the cache was quickly found.
Once the cache was replaced, we were off to the next one and a few more points for the ACT.
Thanks for another one Joolay.....

Kittykatch, Joolay and I went out to hide some some caches for the SoN game and wow what a day, 12 out there to help with the game. Waited to log find until someone got the FTF to be fair. We had a great day and lots of fun and some tough decisions about the puzzles. We each tested each others puzzles to ensure they worked and the FINAL coords were correct. TFTC Joolay.

Three of us set out to hide some caches for the State of the Nation game but held off logging the cache until the FTF was completed. So I am claiming the cache now. It was so much fun exploring this area and hiding the containers. Great to get some more GA caches out there. Thanks for the cache
