Description
Gunlom Falls are some spekky falls which are located in the southern section of the Kakado National Park. The falls trickle durning the dry but roar during the wet. Either way the plunge pool makes for a great swimming hole. The cache is located at the top of the falls which can be reached via a potentially difficult walk, which offers great views.
The aim of this virtual cache is to take a photograph from the top of the waterfall which includes your vehicle in shot as well as your gps. This should be easy but may need some simple planning. Please post the photo with your cache log.
A physical cache container was not placed at this location as maintenance can be very tedious and the wet season may cause problems.

One of my many favourite locations in the NT. We camped here the night and walked up to the very top of the waterfall early in the morning. A great swim and the views were very impressive. I would encourage everyone to come here. Thanks for this Virtual

Whoo Hoo, FTF.
Loved the walk and views up the top, both out over the plunge pool and back up the river. A very beautiful spot well worth the bouncing over the corregations all the way along the road in.

After advice from the ranger headed in to do this cache. After 20 kms of a dirt corrugated road we gave up. Definitely not a road at the moment for a campervan. Will try again if we ever come back in a 4WD. Think that ranger has rocks in his head. Warning lights came on in the van and it was rattling that much we felt like it was going to fall apart. Thanks.
