Description

J & J's ninetieth geocache hide. A quick multicache with some spectacular views.

The cache is not at the listed coordinates, but you will need to visit this location to find the magic numbers.

At the listed coordinates, check out the image of the car travelling down the hypotenuse. The car is about to drive over a code containing three numerals.

For the purpose of finding the cache, let's call the three numerals, in the order they appear, as XYZ

Once you have the numbers X Y and Z, you can calculate the values for A through to H by using the formulas below.

A = X - Y

B = Z - Y

C = X + Z

D = X + Y + Z

E = X - Y - Z

F = X + X - Z

G = X + X - Y - Z

H = X - Z - Z

The cache can then be found at:

S35° 2A.BCD'

E138° 2E.FGH'

Your new coordinates will take you a bit further down the hill, then up a different hill, where you will be looking for a micro sized cache container.

It contains a log scroll only, so you will need to supply your own pen.

Happy hunting!

Disclaimer: No person by the name of Dale was 'interfered' with in the hiding of this geocache.

Found It!
Visited WP1, admired the views and found the required numbers. Then headed off to GZ which at first I thought I had got wrong but then I saw the item that matched the hint. And I found the cache in the first place I looked!

Found the code alright, but mucked up the co-ordinates first time around, which we realised as we came to someones driveway Shocked double checked our simple addition and subtraction and got some coords that seemed much more likely. Despite a good search we couldn't find what previous logs and the clue were referring too and we moved on having to leave this cache for another day.

After finding Tanked Up we continues our way down the the hill to WP1 where we were able to collect the digits needed and complete the calculations. We then spent a little time admiring the views, a very interesting creek gully and great views out to sea. We had not been this way before so were unsure where we were going. We need not have worried as accurate coordinates soon had us at an object that we have found caches on in most states. Once at GZ a familiar little item caught our attention and we soon had a third blank log sheet for the day. We enjoyed our third {FTF} at 13:47. All was in good order.

Thanks for this nice little multi J_&_J we enjoyed our drive through this part of SA.

Ready to be found.

The cache has been removed from it's original hiding spot and placed somewhere slightly less cool.
The formula has been reworked to give the new hiding location.

Ooops. It seems I have placed this cache at exactly the same location as an existing GC.com cache that I wasn't aware of at the time.

I will try to get back next week to move this cache elsewhere.
