Description
J & J's ninety-first geocache hide. A quick drive-by at an historic church.
| In 1851 funds began to be collected for an Anglican church in Yankalilla and building began in 1856. Christ Church was opened on 9th July 1857. Christ Church Day School opened in 1869 and was held in a private home. The school room with attached teacher's residence was built in 1871. The school operated for many years and was finally closed at the end of 1926. Both the church and the school building (now the church hall) are state heritage listed buildings. |

Down around Yankalilla for the morning so took the opportunity to find a few new caches that have gone out since my last visit to the area

On seeing the structure at GZ I thought this could take a while. But I got lucky and spotted it in under a minute! Nice bit of history.

Third stop for the day and empty handed again! We were a bit pressed for time but hoped we could find this one quickly, alas not. Coords put us near a gate and a road guard which would fit the hint but no cache found.
We enjoy looking around these historic little churches and reading about their establishment and the roles they have played in their communities.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. A blank log sheet gave us our fourth {FTF} for today at 14:10. The container and contents were in very good condition.
