Today our plan was to cache along the Plenty Valley Rd and this was our 1st cache to start the journey. Found rather quickly which was surprising - off to a good start.

Many thanks Old Saint for publishing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience.

Thanks for the cache OldSaint. Out today with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP. Neither of us had ever driven along this road before, so it was all a new experience for us (the GeoGSP is not allowed to drive, but he is very good putting his head out of the wind with his tongue hanging out Very Happy ). This was our first real search for a cache today and it took us quite a little while. There was long grass around GZ which I am pretty sure just hides snakes, so I just scanned the perimeter. After a lap or two I just happened to do what the hint suggests at the right spot and there it was. Cheers.

Out and about with the Rafas for the summer GCA game, New Years Day caching with god company. Driving on a new road to me as I have never been out this way before. Nice views towards the middle section but concentrating on driving so missing some of the views. equal hard find for the series, look for some time for this cache, around in circles until Rafa called out "found it", thanks that someone found it. TFTC TNLN. log dry.

Hi Old Saint,
Last night I didn't think I'd be down here today, but a good rest and made a last minute decision early this morning.
Have never driven through this road so was looking forward to the drive.
Arrived at gz where I was struggling to find the cache. Haven't been this far south for many yrs so not used to the Old Saint type of hides.
Was about to ring a friend when another cacher turned up. Lo and behold it was Budgie whom I'd never met.
The odds of meeting up here at the same time must be up there.
Lovely to finally meet after a decade of caching.
Back at gz....Budgie...wise to the Old Saint hides soon found the cache.
This cache gets the thumbs up as its the northern entrance to a fantastic forest drive....so many thanks for a top cache....cheers ST.

Arrived at this cache to find a car parked there - hmmm interesting this could be interesting if farmer is here. No Farmer - one siruis in person Smile

A bit of a search and the location of the cache was found. Probably the hardest in the series

Thanks for the cache and very nice to meet Siruis for the first time

Out and about with the two ‘wanna be mainlanders’
After an event near FRANK we headed out to get some GCA
smilies. Good run with Alby following along and the views along here are spectacular.

Hello OldSaint thanks for the cache.

I had been to a moist event at Franklin and was planing on coming back home this was so when I heard GooseandEgg, stainless-steel-rat and Toolman were also coming home this way I tagged along for the trip.
As the trip continued this cache was twelfth and last to be found.

TFTC.

What do you do when you suddenly find yourself with a free day when your permanent Monday committment is canceled? You go caching of course. As we had nothing on our geocaching plan for today we quickly decided to shift a few challenges, selected some target caches, contacted southern friends and packed a bag.

After an uneventful trip south we arrived close to this cache. Our GPS sent us low and we spent a considerable amount of time searching without finding the container. We then moved high joining a muggle rooster who had been watching us intently. The rooster took a step back and one team member quickly spotted the well hidden little devil. Container and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for this cache along this road Old Saint.

Chatting to Old Saint during the week and I mentioned that SSR and I might come out and find his 'A Road That Should Be' series. Next thing we know there are a few more to find. We headed off around 9.30 and ended in heavy fog as we approached this cache. It stuck with us for a while but as we started to climb further on we climbed above it.
It took us a few minutes to find this as we approached it the hard way (as usual) but soon spotted it.
Thanks for the FTF OldSaint, we thought it may have gone by now.

We saw there had been new caches published linking New Norfolk to Huonville so we thought we might head off and find them and quite a few others in the Huon area that had been published while we have been away. As we had planned to see the grandsons play their soccer matches it was nearly lunchtime before we made a start. Seeing the New Norfolk end cache had been found we decided to head to the Huon Valley area and then work our way to New Norfolk via the Plenty Link Road.
Having completed the caches in the Huon area we headed off to find 3 new caches and this was the last one. We have never travelled from Huonville through to New Norfolk on this road so enjoyed our trip. By the time we got here it was dark and we were looking for a needle in a haystack but we found it in the end. The road was in good condition, considering the rough weather that has been in the area recently. It was about 5 degrees here at 5.30 pm and by the time we got home the temperature had risen and was 9 degrees. Always warmer on the eastern shore! TFTC

Myself and gooseandegg had planned to do this road picking up the few caches along it, this was mid week and we were very pleased to see some new caches come out that were on the same road, what a bit of luck!

I was round the bird cage by 9.30 and on the road not long after, when we found the first cache of the day the jerry was still low and we had no views, not long after we were taking in some amazing vistas.

We had a great day out on a road I had never been on before.

Thanks for the cache. Oh and joint FTF with the Goose.
