This is a very tasty Locationless.
I have very fond memories of Mr Whippy coming down our street, with the unmistakable sound that lingers in everyone’s memory.
Although my son tells me he used to tell the children that the music was only played when Mr Whippy had run out of icecream!
Ice cream vans aren’t as prevalent as they used to be, but if you can find one, buy an icecream and have your photo taken eating it, with the van in view.
Two separate photos, one with an icecream, and one of a Van, are not acceptable.

Yesterday was a nice warm day and we enjoyed an ice-cream bought from a van.
Don’t see many vans around these days and it seems years since we’ve had a soft serve from a van. We remembered your cache and took a photo.

We were caching in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide when we came across an ice cream van. It wasn't Mr Whippy but Miss Frosty. This locationless cache gave us more than sufficient justification to stop and sampel the wares. The photo added to the Gallery shows Mrs y'stassie making the first of two purchases. Thanks Cybergran V for the cache.
This ice cream van was at a Chinese cultural festival we attended this weekend.
It was a hot day and there was a big crowd. A variety of savoury oriental dishes were on sale, but nothing sweet for dessert.
Consequently the van was doing a roaring trade.
When asked what flavour I would like on my icecream sundae Salted Caramel was my choice, and that wasn’t on the menu, so I asked for chocolate with a swirl of strawberry topping to make Cherry Ripe flavour. He’d never heard of that before and, when he was making it for me, said that it looked delicious, and had given him the idea to add it to his menu.
I hope the one you buy tastes as nice.
