Description
Logs
well I did wander, a lot more than I needed to, but once at GZ, I found a cache badly in need of replacement. The cache itself is shattered from weather. I presume the log is inside the other container that I couldn't open again because of exposure to the weather. I don't have a spare cache of the required size so I have left a smaller one inside the original, but eventually it will also disintegrate. A new log has been left inside the cache in a zip lock bag. We spent part of today in the Winton Wetlands - a fascinating area for its natural beauty and its rich indigenous cultural history. We looker for three caches in this Wetlands Wander series, finding two but not finding the third. We ran out of time to get to the fourth one in the series.
Solving the puzzle was straightforward. Today accurate coordinates led to a quick find. Unfortunately the plastic container had become very brittle and was breaking up. There was quite a deal of water in teh container and the log was moderately damp but still signable. Unfortunately we did not have anything with us in the car to effect repairs and maintenance. Thanks Tassie Trekkers for the cache.

Needed some peaceful and quiet space after the Mega event geocaching madness and this place was certainly fitting. this container has some issues now with water getting needs replacing... TFTC
Staying in Creswick for a few days
Today I was heading to Corowa (NSW) to catch up with family and friends and to attend the Beechworth Event.
Had a couple of Adventure Labs on my radar today but then detoured via some back roads letting my GPS be my guide.
Thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers and for bringing me here. I have seen many wonderful sights and taken many photos around this fantastic area

We're doing a loop today from Wangaratta to Wangaratta via the painted silos. Along the way we tried to pick up as many GCA caches as possible. We'd solved three out of four of the puzzles in this series before we left home and decided to wing it with the other one. This cache was an easy find once we reached GZ, don't know about wetlands, very dry here at the moment! TFTC
Dad was coming back up the Hume solo today after a weekend of working on cars, and as I was getting a bit tired, I decided to swing in here for a driver reviver....
Having solved the puzzle previously, and as it turns out, drove right past the cache, I had a pretty good idea where it was...
So the big soccer mum car was pulled up in the middle of the road and dad ducked off for the quick find and sign.
Good to finally tick this one off...
Thanks Tassie Trekkers for the puzzle and cache.

Sincere apologies to skullracing there was an error in the description which has now been amended.
We were down here enjoying the sunny weather and a spot of caching around the wetlands picking up the new ones.
Unfortunately this is where the wheels started to fall off....
We solved the puzzle easy enough, even got the green light from the checker, but when we typed the corrected co-ords into the Garmin it put it in a strange spot....so we checked and checked again, but got the same result each time....
So we thought we would go out and see what we could find....
Dad went solo on this one due to the terrain being not that Queen friendly, and I thought on the walk out that this cache would have to be pretty high up due to the height of the water level mark on every tree...but when the Garmin counted down to zero metres, it became immediately apparent that there is a mistake and nothing is going to be here, i had a good look around and broadened the search area out to 30m but no prize was to be found. So I stood there and once more type the co-ords into the checker, which gave me the same result as before.
So at the end of the day, no prize for us and we'll wait for the puzzle to be fixed up and give it another go.
Cheers
