Description
Welcome to the First Finds series
Everyone has a first find in Geocaching and this Locationless series will highlight them. Each of these caches is allowed to be logged up to 2 times. In other words one for GC and one for GCA, unless the type of cache is only on one website or the other.
For this cache all you need to do is post a log about your first GCA Celebration find which is only found on GCA and held/placed each year on the 28/3. All logs must have the GCA code, name of the cache and where you attended it/found it. Also, it would be great if you write a little about your experience.
Attending any event (from any year) or finding any cache that celebrates the birthday of Geocaching Australia will allow you to log this cache.
P.S. For the complete series of 'First Finds' click please click here! (You may need to scroll the page down.)

After hearing about the new rules in place as of the end of the week, I decided on archiving all my caches that don't fit in with the new rules. This is very unfortunate as I spent many hours setting these caches up for all to enjoy. However, I am thankful to all who have found any/all of these caches.
Thanks so much
WotheNeeds2
P.S. Yes, I do own a couple that line up with the rules and they are: GA14256 and GA14283. These will continue to stay active for people to find.

Today I have completed YOF's Anniversary Orb Series which was to celebrate Geocaching Australia.

This was an interesting one.
I went back thru every year and my first was in fact 210 and not 2020.
GA2091 10th Anniversary Virtual Event by caughtatwork
This seems to be my first.
It was an online meet up.
Long before zoom so no chat face to face
Lots of fun met many new faces and also a few others I've met before.

There were many virtual events on the 28th March which also coincided with n0w0rries’ event celebrating G.A’s birthday and his wife Christine’s birthday also.
So the one I am claiming for this Locationless is +Wife’s Party GA14551.
Thanks WotheNeeds2 for letting me celebrate this again. It was a great party by the way.

As people are claiming finds even though there find doesn't count as it doesn't fit within the rules, I decided on changing the cache names to help with correct logging requirements from cachers.
With all the new Locationless caches being published recently it's a challenging to keep up with all the requirements, especially when I'm still working full time.
I stumbled across this one during a sort and discard in GSAK. Hmm, maybe I qualify for this one. Back to GSAK for a search on date.
Yep, another one I can log...
GA14551 +Wife's Party. 28 March 2020.
My phone beeped with a message from Val to say Rod was running a zoom event for +Wife's birthday. I logged on and wished her a happy birthday, spoke to a few others an enjoyed catching up with the goings on around the country.
My log from the event...
Happy birthday Christine. May there be many, many more.
I virtually dropped in for a while but had some intermittent dropouts and eventually a complete dropout. C'est la vie

GCA 2,837. Another neat locationless to find !
I attended a few virtual events on 28 March 2020, the first one being:
GA14474 2020 Twenty Year Anniversary Event - Zoom Meeting
My first use of Zoom - and I'm sure it won't be the last during these trying times.

On 28 Mar 2020 I virtually attended four GCA events. The first one was GA14517 '28th March celebrations'.
I was up bright and early, and took a photo of myself with my freshly hung out washing in the background.
Thanks to WotheNeeds2 for the locationless!

Yesterday while at work I attended GA14517: 28th March celebrations by AlbyDangles (as it was a special virtual event to celebrate geocaching's birthday).
Yesterday I attended "GCA Anniversary Event - Corona Version" (https://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga14526). Originally this event was to follow some social distancing rules but was changed to virtual attendance due to what is happening in this crazy current world.

Looks like my first was the Anniversary Event (GA14536) but not the last for the day. It’s great that we’ve been able to find some unique ways to keep in touch and keep caching (in its own way). Maybe not as birthday like as we would have liked, but there was still togetherness while staying well apart.
Happy Birthday 17th Geocaching Australia. Happy nth Birthday +Wife.
Today I hosted and attended +Wife's Party - https://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga14551.
I was the only guest to actually be at the party with Christine, everyone else attended via video or various forms of internet and telephone.
Over 50 teams from all over Australia (including our youngest son and his wife), participated in the Zoom party.
Many, many more left messages on facebook, instagram, text, phone, geocachingdotcom & Geocaching Australia.
Thanks for the cache WotheNeeds2

Logging from my beautiful home in Blaxland East, Blue Mountains with my two GeoDogs Riker and Bertrum. We logged a virtual cache earlier today by Thomo31 earlier today - GA14491 - which I included the photo I have attached to this one of my boys enjoying a lazy Saturday morning practising Social Distancing.

We attended our own Virtual Event today 28-3-20 GA14491 GA Birthday Event.
It was originally published as my sister "teamashy" was going be visiting us in the Blue Mountains from Victoria, as the 28th March was our Dad's birthday (and we like to get together on that day).
Sadly with the Coronavirus Pandemic she had to stay in Victoria, but was able to attend the event "virtually".

WE attended "GCA Anniversary Event - Corona Version" GA14526. This is our own event and was originally going to be a 'drive by' event where people drove past us with something showing their caching name and we took their photo as the log book. But due to restrictions it became a virtual event.
My first ever GCA find that celebrates GCA's Birthday was: 'Warrambui' - GA2174. This cache was place by 'Mr.Roo' to celebrate the 10th birthday of GCA. Apart from all the double listing caches (on both GC and GCA), this was my first ever GCA cache which I found on the 07-Nov-16. TFTLC
I attended GA14517: 28th March celebrations by AlbyDangles this morning from my house (as it was a special virtual event for today).
Nice to wake up to my first GCA event find!
Thanks to WotheNeeds2 for the locationless!

Attended an event at 0630 QLD time for celebrating the GCA Birthday of 28th March.
GA14470
Ocean View Event
It was held on the Headland at Bargara South which is quickly becoming known as Bargara Headlands thanks to a massive housing development adjacent to the end of the road leading to the Headland.
