Description
To log a find on this cache you are required to
- post a photo of a book that you have at home where the author’s name starts with the letter C
- the photo must be of the front cover and show the author’s name, not the spine as the author’s name is sometimes abbreviated on the spine
- the photo must include something on the book or next to the book which identifies you (eg pathtag, sign with your caching name etc)
For the purpose of this cache, the author’s name starts with the first letter. For example
- Enid Blyton starts with a “E”
- J. K. Rowling starts with “J”
- “S” is the first letter for the joint authors Susannah McFarlane and Lachlan Creagh and Lachlan Creagh cannot be used for “L”
- the author cannot be the editor; for example “The Penguin Best Australian Short Stories” edited by Mary Lord cannot be used for “M” as editors do not write the complete contents of the book they have edited
- ignore titles (such as Sir, Dame, etc); “U" is the first letter for Dr U Know Alot
Lastly, you cannot use the same Book Title / Author combination used to log any letter in the Book Title series. You can, of course, use the same author but of a book with a different title. For example if you used the book “The Valley of Horses” by Jean M. Auel for your “T” Book Title, you can used the book “The Mammoth Hunters” by Jean M. Auel for an author starting with “J”.
With those ground rules in place, you can start rummaging again through your books. By the way there will by just the 26 caches in this series (not many author’s names start with a digit!!).
Our example for this cache is Conn Iggulden who wrote "Conqueror".

Another good author of children's books.
Thanks 2y'stassies for this opportunity.
Probably more made famous by his movie potrayal by Bradley Cooper.
American Sniper is the book by former Navy Seal Chris Kyle.
It tells of his upbringing in Texas and service during the Iraq War.

Charlotte Brontë (1816–1855) was an English novelist and poet, the eldest of the three Brontë sisters who survived into adulthood and whose novels became classics of English literature.
She enlisted in school at Roe Head in January 1831, aged 14 years. She left the year after to teach her sisters, Emily and Anne, at home, returning in 1835 as a governess. In 1839 she undertook the role as governess for the Sidgwick family but left after a few months to return to Haworth where the sisters opened a school, but failed to attract pupils. Instead, they turned to writing and they each first published in 1846 under the pseudonyms of Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell. While her first novel, The Professor, was rejected by publishers, her second novel, Jane Eyre, was published in 1847. The sisters admitted to their Bell pseudonyms in 1848, and by the following year were celebrated in London literary circles.
Brontë was the last to die of all her siblings. She became pregnant shortly after her marriage in June 1854 but died on 31 March 1855, almost certainly from hyperemesis gravidarum, a complication of pregnancy which causes excessive nausea and vomiting.
Thanks and Happy Trails!

I have a few of Carol's books in my collection and also a few of her mother's Mary Higgins Clark. I enjoy some light reading every now and then and these books fills that gap. TFTC
Thanks to 2y'stassies for this series.
I waited all day yesterday for this photo to cross from the phone to the computer... seems I wasn't the only one having a slow day. It finally came through this morning. This is the only book by this author I've read but I'll be keeping an eye out for others. TFTL 2y'stassies
