A recent trend is to create things with corugated iron not boring things like sheds or fences or whatever but all sorts of things -animals, people, vehicles etc which are very creative and lots of fun.

These corrugated tin camels are to be found in Norseman in Western Australia at S32 11.868 E121 46.754.
The first time we drove through here I remember getting a geocache off one of the camels which was placed on its rear end.
I remember feeling quite embarrassed about where I had to search for this one.
Our photo shows Mr Beetle and the camels.
Thanks.

Had to add this one to my collection. While treking in New Zealand we stopped at Wanaka Back packers. Here's Alan with his feet, including walking boots, stuck in these metal big walking boots.
Thanks for this one. corunnaroad ClappingClapping

Hi corunnaroad
Went to the Tasman Peninsula today and found this art work at Murdunna
I don't think it will ever do much work but it does look good in the paddock
However, I did wonder if it's a grey Massey Ferguson - which would classify for another GA Locationless
TFTC and cheers

Took some photos at Norseman, WA. (the way to Eastern mega) so many times Rolling EyesWinkRolling EyesWink

The life size camels were created by Western Australian artist, Kurt Hotker, and are made out of corrugated iron. They are all wandering around the centre of the Prinsep Street roundabout. The sculptures are a tribute to the camel trains that carried the freight and mail to the town in the early days of settlement.

Took quite a while to find a picture I wanted to use. We migrated to Australia in 1954 and luckily we ended up staying in Preston in a bungalow behind a lovely Scot lady and her family. Other relatives ended up at the migrant camp at Bonegilla. We have visited the camp and are impressed with the way it has been maintained .
This memorial is not at the camp but at the Gateway Village in Albury
S36 95.631 E146 54.243. It is also the start of a great little multi cache.

We first came across artwork created in corrugated iron in Tirau in New Zealand back in 2010. The town had many such ovjects, ranging from big buildings shaped as a sheep through to smaller object. Since then we have always looked for this creative art form. The latest we found (for which the coordinates are given) was in Orroroo in South Australia where the community has reflected the name of the town with kangaroos created from corrugated iron. A composite photo of our first and most recent examples has been added to the Gallery. Thanks corunnaroad for the cache.

What a fabulous cache. It was a bit of a challenge to find our photo from August 2018 when we were on our way to QOGM at Barcaldine. Then we had to get the coordinates and convert them to the correct format. Oh the trouble to get one cache. It is a photo of the Big Yellow Belly outside Isisford in Queensland. Thanks for the challenge corrunaroad. ClappingClappingClan CerberusClan Cerberus

We have come across some wonderful corrugated iron while traveling around Australia.
This fantastic one was at a little town called Woomelang, Victoria.
Made with only corrugated iron, it is a 3D, full wall height picture with corrugated iron cut outs as well Smile
