We all have our favourite movies. Tell us what your favourite movie beginning with is !

If you have a copy of the movie a picture would be great !

With not a lot of choice, I will nominate 'Quigley Down Under' - Tom Selleck's movie filmed entirely in Australia in 1990. While the film was 'so-so' the reason I'm listing it is because I was down in Warrnambool visiting some friends, and we visited the shoot at the Maritime Museum there and Tom Selleck came over and said hello. The girls swooned, and even I was pretty chuffed at meeting Magnum PI !! Alas Alan Rickman - who I'd never heard of in 1990 - was no where to be seen.

Can't remember whether you are allowed to drop the The for this series. If it is okay then this is a movie we watched recently on TV and really enjoyed.
The Quick and The Dead. Made in 1995 it had an all star cast with Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Sharon Stone and Gene Hackman.
It was a western which isn't to everyone's taste but had a good storyline.
I think most people would enjoy this one.
Thanks.

Q – Quiz Show

This 1994 movie directed by Robert Redford and starring Ralph Fiennes is based on the events that led to the exposure of rigged quiz games on the quiz show Twenty One. This true story happened in the USA in the 1950s.
Thanks for this cache and the series fitzy_1965. We are enjoying the search for favourite movies that we both enjoyed. Not always an easy task.

I honestly have not seen too many movies starting with Q... but I can say I enjoyed "Queen of the damned" but that was a while ago... thanks for the challenge DancingDancingDancing

This one was the hardest to find. But lucky for me, one that made my shortlist for F is known by two names, so I could fit it in here. It was one I was introduced to whilst having a sleep over at a friends house. And the main character was so brave - how could a young girl not fall in love with...this film. haha.

The Quest, aka Frog Dreaming.

Fun fact, I was swimming in the Bexhill Quarry last year and I bumped something out in the middle of it. You know, the deepest part. All I could think of was this movie. haha

I think the only movie I have seen that begins with Q is: Quest for Camelot Very Happy TFTLC

Quest for Camelot:
In this animated tale, Kayley (Jessalyn Gilsig) dreams of being one of the Knights of the Round Table; she gets her chance when the fabled sword of Excalibur is lost. Without its power to protect him, King Arthur falls victim to Ruber (Gary Oldman), an evil knight bent on destroying Camelot. Arthur's only hope is that Kayley will find the sword. She gets some invaluable assistance from Merlin's trusty falcon, a dragon with a split personality, and a sweet blindman named Garrett (Cary Elwes).

Quicksilver Highway is a 1997 television comedy horror film directed by Mick Garris. It is based on Clive Barker's short story "The Body Politic" and Stephen King's short story "Chattery Teeth". The film was originally shown on television before being released on home media.

Plot
The main story is centered on Aaron Quicksilver (played by Christopher Lloyd), a travelling showman who tells horror stories to the people he meets. He first runs into a newly married couple who are hitchhiking, to whom he tells the story "Chattery Teeth", about a man who is saved from a dangerous hitchhiker by a set of wind-up toy teeth. He later runs into a pickpocket to whom he tells "The Body Politic", a story about a man whose hands rebel against him.

Quiz Show with Robert Redford 1984. About the manipulation of quiz show contestants.
Many thanks

I'll choose Quincy for this one which was a look at the life of Quincy Jones, a music industry giant and winner of 27 Grammys.(2018) Didn't really enjoy it - found it rather long.

I found it difficult to remember any film that I have seen that started with Q, so am going to use (The) Queen which starred Helen Mirren in an excellent portrayal of Queen Elizabeth. A great movie and a brilliant actress. ClappingClappingClan CerberusClan Cerberus

Quest for Camelot
Is the only movie beginning with Q that I have seen.
I was surprised it was a Warner Brothers flop because I thought it should have done better.
Thanks for this one fitzy_1965

Back to 1994 and another movies from the cinemas I was at. Q = Quiz Show. Directed and Produced by Robert Redford.

Storyline was based around quiz show scandals of the 1950's. A good movie, but not as much of as hit as it could have been.

Thanks for the series fitzy_1965...

Queen: Days of Our Lives (2011)

I searched and searched through Google and I couldn't find any movie I've seen starting with 'Q'. So I hope this documentary MOVIE of my favourite band counts! This is honestly one of my favourite Queen documentaries because not only is it the most engaging, it is the most straight forward (ie. it's linear, it doesn't jump all over the place in their timeline) and it has lots of unseen footage previously not shown on documentaries prior. It also has a lot of great (old and new) interviews with the band members themselves, which makes it so nice and refreshing to watch time and time again. I would definitely watch this over the movie 'Bohemian Rhapsody' any day - while I had a great time with it and the acting (especially Rami Malek and Gwilym Lee) was amazing, I am still extremely mixed about its historical inaccuracies, its antagonistic depiction of the gay community and its blatant biases in favour of its executive producers (ie. it paints Brian May and Roger Taylor as angels and blames all the band's problems on Freddie and John).

TFTC fitzy_1965!

Being a James Bond fan, I nominate Quantum of Solace with Daniel Craig as the hero. Quite like Craig as a Bond.

A favourite movie starting with Q is ‘Quantum of Solace’ starring Daniel Craig as James Bond and Judi Dench as M.

Quigley Down Under (1990). Would have to be the one I choose for this one as the other ones with Q in the title have THE in front of thed. I found this one a little ahrd to follow at first but when we watched it for the second time it made more sense. Americans trying to tell us Australians how it is in Australia sometimes is hard to follow.
Also I will put this one on the list as well as my choice was the CO's choice as well.

Quicksilver is a 1986 American drama film written and directed by Thomas Michael Donnelly and starring Kevin Bacon. The film, which was distributed by Columbia Pictures, also stars Jami Gertz, Paul Rodriguez, Louie Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, and Rudy Ramos.
