Description

Stop, Rest and Revive is a series of caches placed along the Stuart Highway in the Northern Territory by TeamGeoPlesk. With the permission of TeamGeoPlesk I am expanding the coverage. These caches aim at breaking up the long and often very uneventful journeys throughout the Territory. I hope that you enjoy the caches and that you take the opportunity to Stop, Rest and Revive during your travels.

SRR - Conners Well

Conners Well Camping Area is beside the Stuart Highway and has room for over a dozen caravans, camper trailers, camper vans and tents, and is popular with the grey nomads and other travellers on the Stuart Highway, particularly for breaks.

Facilities in the camp area as at August 2009 include a shelter, 3 picnic tables, a water tank, fireplaces, and a few rubbish bins.

To log this virtual, simply take a photo of your GPS either in front of the "Conners Well" sign or in a place that clearly identifies the facilities at Conners Well.

A physical cache container was not placed at this location as there are very few cachers in this region and maintenance can be very tedious, if at all possible.

First To Find Award Congratulations to

What a feat of engineering that has stood the test of time over so many years.

26-Sep-22
We travelled 8,500km through 5 states for a 60th birthday party over approx. 6 weeks. We endured many days over 35C and then saw a lot of water in the eastern states. We enjoyed travelling east with family and then they travelled back to Alice and we made our way home to SA, trying to dodge the rain and wet weather.
Caching is a great way to see the many wonderful sights and learn about the places we are travelling through.
Thank you to those who take the time to hide caches

#GA1484 - 12:05; Day 12 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965. After our first night in Alice Springs for the Red Centre Experience Mega, we were ready for a day of caching around the local area. Today we decided to head north along the Stuart Highway to collect the NOAS series and then the Plenty Highway to Gemtree, along with any other caches we happened across on our travels, including this one. A chance to stretch the legs as the mission continued. TFTC WanderingAus Very HappyClan Cerberus

Another GCA nabbed hot on the heels (if 9 months can be called "hot") of fellow Taswegians. Easy peasy lemon squeezy... and we think we can guess what else they were up to here that caused them to stop as we did!

Good leg break and everything was very wet and muddy! It has been raining heavily in Alice Springs and surroundings, unusual for this time of the year but we loved it! Thanks WanderingAus for the cache.
