Description

This cache has been hidden as part of the 2020 Game of Games

Now that we are allowed back out in Tasmania I have hidden a gadget cache to meet the July requirements for the 2020 Game of Games. The reason for the 2020 Game of Games: "Lane Cove was hidden on the 18th May 2000 which made it the first geocache on Australian soil. Geocaching Australia had a small celebration in 2010 called the 10th Anniversary of Geocaching in Australia. 20 years after the first Australia geocache was placed we are now marking the 20th anniversary of Geocaching in Australia. To help celebrate the 20th anniversary of Geocaching in Australia, the 2020 team at Geocaching Australia have worked together to create the 2020 Game of Games rewards which are 12 monthly games based on finding and hiding geocaches at Geocaching Australia." Please be gentle with the "gadget" and rehide as found.

Excellent hide, excellent gadget. It looks like it is popular with Rosny High outdoors students.

After a bright and early start to have an onslaught on some southern caches we left well before daylight negotiating the fog, icy conditions and the odd slow driver to make our way to sorell after grabbing some caches there we made our way down towards Port Arthur to find most of the caches in the area, the view from the Eaglehawk lookout was brilliant. Met up with Oldsaint near the golf course where he needed assistance to turn the hazards off on his Ranger. At the second last cache in the area we meet up with Goose and Stainless Steel Rat, after a catch up and discussing some caching we headed off for seven mile beach where we located all but one of the caches we had targeted in the area.
then continued onwards to Sanford to find the rest of Whitewebbs MMMM games caches and a few others that were close by. Needing to be in New Town at 5 to pick up a heater we stopped in at Rosny Hill to grab the caches there to fill in some time, all were located and solved. After loading the heater onto my ute we decided that was enough caching for the day and headed back north arriving home around 10pm.

A quick and easy find, having been familiar with this type of gadget quickly had it open and the log signed. TFTC

As our onslaught on the south begins, we started early from the north and made our way south for the day. Great day for caching in Tasmania.
Rosny Hill came up trumps with a handful of finds today on our way headed for home.
This gadget cache was straight forward to open once I applied a little logic to the possibility how to open it.

We were in the area today and decided to give this one a go. A very familiar hiding spot didn't really require a GPS to locate. mr sharnie's tribe was able to open the gadget and access the logbook with the minimum of trouble and quickly signed it and replaced in the grotto. Thanks for the gadget cache, enjoyed the challenge

Needed a gadget cache find for a research task so stopped off here before keeping an appointment down river. Didn't have to worry about any problems we have had with this type of gadget in the past where wet containers resulted in wood swelling and difficulty opening. The log was in the bottom of the bag so after signing we put it back in the container and put everything together again.

Thanks for this cache Whitewebbs. We hope things stay in place.

I'd planned to find this gadget cache last weekend but somehow ran out of time. We made time this afternoon on our way home. I knew where it would be so didn't need the GPS to find it.
A quick check and then I gently opened it. Cute container.
Thanks for the gadget cache!

After a day (well afternoon - you know Teenagers) of driving around with geo daughter I in preparation for her driving test next week, we stopped by this cache on the way home.

I knew by the hint where it was, so not having a gps was not a problem.

Quick find, took a minute to find the solution to the gadget, but had the answer and log book fairly quickly.

Back to the car and driving home was in order

Thank you whitewebbs. RLD4963 cannot resist a gadget cache, and as soon as I mentioned that this had been published he was looking for his car keys and calling the GeoGSP to get in the car.
A familiar area and we are getting quicker at accessing the logs. Grabbed one of your path tags. Blank log so a joint FTF with RLD4963.
