After much poking around in the bushes I had found two shingleback lizards (the weather is obviously warming up!) and a golf ball but no cache. Even had a bit of a poke around in the nearby fenced area but with no joy
Next visit perhaps, but I fear this one is gone
Cheers

The GPS led me into the obvious bush, right up to a pile of grass clippings and weeds. I looked throughout the bush from every other angle, but suspect the cache is buried under that pile
Found on a beautiful morning caching around North Beach. The sea was calm and a gorgeous torquoise blue and a gentle breeze kept us nice and cool.
How nice to find a GCA cache hidden in this beautful area The cache is still in excellent condition and we made an easy find
We then wandered over to check out the local plant life Once again we learn a little of our surroundings because of geocaching

Love towns that have some Australian caches.
This one was a quick find and we noticed that the last finder in the log book was also a Tassie cacher that is from the same part of the state as us.
After signing the log the neighbouring dog came for a pat.
Thanks.

After caching in Wallaroo we headed to North Beach to look for this one. As we drove in we noted with interest the contrast between the to towns - Wallaroo very old buildings, well maintained and with very tall TV antennae and North beach very modern buildings with low TV antennae.
We arrived in the general area of the cache to find a beautifully maintained seaside strip with numerous clear signs explaining the flora and faune to be found nearby. The community certainly has put a lot of effort into beautifying and maintaining the local area. As a bonus we were able to quickly locate the cache which was in excellent condition.
Thanks for bringing us to this delightful area Dazzatron and for the cache.

We attempted the nearby UFO night cache by day and came up empty handed So took this one as the next best option.
Thankfully a find here so our day wasn't completely ruined.
No swimming for us though.

Found It! Finally!
First visit I couldn't find it so I gave Dazza a ring and he told me council had just removed the stobie pole and the cache. Many months then passed until I asked him when it was going to be replaced yesterday. "It's been there for months. I just never posted on the cache page" he says...
So tonight while UFO night caching I took a slight detour and found this one!

Having a few hours to spare today, we ventured to North Beach and were impressed by the hard-working local Progress Association.

Bit worried when we drove up as the area was infested with young Muggles, but luckily they headed on home before we had even left the car. Very quick find at this great location – they do need to do a bit of a weed though. Took Nothing Left some gum leaves – seemed appropriate!

136. Funny. I left the state at age 2 but still had to pronounce the word as the locals would rather than the as normal. Anyway in amongst the foliage we found the plant.
TFTC and the calling.

Found with McPhan on a caching trip around the Copper Coast. One of 100 for the day. Liked the play on words with the hint. Thanks Dazzatron.
I've walked these walkways up and down the beach for years but never knew this was here until now...
Goes to show you are never too old to learn something new...
Thanks Dazzatron for the cache...

I never realised this little nursery was here, despite visiting this end of the beach from time to time. I read up on my coastal native plants before looking for the cache. Upon approach I wondered wether this would be hidden in a NYP Thorny Mongrel Bush, but the container was spotted without too much fuss.
Only as I was replacing the log book did I notice the pathtag on the ground. Stuck that im my pocket and headed home to try and find where I went wrong at Hughes Enginehouse.
Happy anniversary, Geocaching in Australia!
Thanks for showing me this spot Dazzatron.
