Description
Kittykatch and Smittengranny have worked together to put this geoart on Lake Ginninderra.
John Knight Memorial Park is a large 12 hectare park located on the eastern foreshores of Lake Ginninderra and is accessible from Aikman Drive. Park facilities include picnic areas, barbecue facilities, public toilets, fitness equipment, playgrounds, a disc golf course and a fixed orienteering course.
The geocache is a traditional geocache style hide where the published co-ordinates are the location of the geocache itself. There are a second set of coordinates in the cache which indicate where the icon that makes up the geoart is located. There is no puzzle to complete - go to the cache coordinates to find the container.
The physical hides will be found around Lake Ginninderra and should take you about an hour to complete each set.

Logs
Day #1 (23/7):
It was time to head over to Canberra, so I didn’t need to rush tomorrow. I spent the trip over, helping DSD in placing some caches as well as finding the new AL’s in Yass. Then it was time to head over to Queanbeyan to check into the motel. Not much else happened today and I enjoyed the rest before the massive day tomorrow.
Day #2 (24/7):
Event day! Well an early start was in order as the first event was at 9am in Yass. After the hour drive, I filled up the car and found a cache before heading to the CITO location. Lots of rubbish was found and a few other caches were found. Then we headed off to a nasty tree climb about halfway to Goulburn. I did the climb and it was eventually found, signed and replaced. Off to the next CITO but first another quick find and some Macca’s before it started. My first ever finds in Goulburn. So, a couple more finds and the lunch time event before heading off to the next one. I stopped along the way to the final event, to find a 2006 cache as well as a couple of others at the same rest area. Then it was time to have the final CITO. Not much rubbish here but was still great talking all things Geo and avenging a DNF. I then headed over to Queanbeyan for a rest before heading over to night church over at Tuggy. Afterwards, I headed off to find a cache that can really only be done at night before heading back to the motel. A really big day but I loved every moment of it.
**Note: Some of day #2 caches were signed as either: The JM Crew or The DSD Team.**
Day #3 (25/7):
My final day. I didn’t do much today. I started my day off with HJ’s and then went to Koorong for some shopping. After that I headed over to Lake Ginninderra to find some more of the GA geoart caches but unfortunately I wasn’t having any luck in finding them due to either muggles or my GPS wouldn’t stop jumping around. I’m glad I did find one of them though. Next, I headed over to hall to find another multi-cache as I am trying to qualify for GC9K256. Yes, I know I’ve still have some time before I qualify for this one but at least it will help. Then I headed off to Yass for some lunch at Subway and then I help DSD place some caches and then it was time to head home.
Thanks for another cache in this Geo Art series Kittykatch. We spotted some very interesting, brightly coloured fungi nearby.
We appreciate the effort that you and Smittengranny have put into designing the GeoArt, selecting hides and cache containers. It must have been a mammoth task putting the caches out. Well Done!
Thanks KK...great to see the new cache type here in Canberra...well done on getting it done.
TFTC - took several photos of some very weird and wonderful fruiting fungi scattered around near GZ ... kind of looked like orange starfish, upside down with their legs curled up, but like they were made of bubble bath foam and were slowly dissolving away.
Thanks for the Cache KittyKatch

Thanks

A quick find on most of this series with only the odd delay due to high muggle traffic.
A joint *FTF* on this one with Just a cacher.
Thanks for the cache Kittykatch.
