Description
The difficulty is not in finding the cache but in retrieving it.
Waverly Flora Park is full of history and has some spectacular views of Hobart. The Botanist Charles Darwin once visited here. There is a Charles Darwin Trail available that retraces his steps when he visited here in 1836. More information is available on the Clarence City Council’s website (https://www.greaterhobarttrails.com.au/track/charles-darwin-trail/)
So while looking for the cache, why not explore the area and enjoy the views that are on offer. Remember that caching can be thirsty work, especially on a hot day. So make sure you have plenty of water with you, as there is none available in the area.
The cache is camouflaged and contains log book only. You will need to bring your own pen. NO Swaps, TBs or GCs, please.
There are a few things that you need to know:
1. You will need to take something with you to help with the retrieval of the cache.
2. You will get dirty, so wear some old clothes.
3. One person can retrieve the cache (if they are a contortionist) but it will be easier if two people can do it.
4. Please, please, please DO NOT POKE ANYTHING into the cache or the cache container.
5. Sometimes the cache container takes its time to show itself. You may need to be patient for 20 or 30 seconds.

Amazing effort in placement
Understand why this is legendary. Been here before, but not enough materials. (Must read instructions)
Thank you for something unique
Much fun to do, and we all enjoyed it. Nice spot for a walk, even in the dwizzle.
THANKS DnA! for the adventures today.

wow excellent cache, love it... Thanks for have us enjoyed there.. greatly job DnA!..
PS instead of ALL7 now "KAM". Thanks.
Having found plenty of others on GC and having done the caches in this park in the past I made the trip today with what i needed to get this one.
I called and had a look at this one yesterday while finding another cache knowing full well that I didnt have what was needed to get the log out.
So today with the needed item in my bag I walked up the hill again and with not a soul around it was great to get the cache out and sign the log without any problems.
I have found caches like this in the past but none so well constructed with such a hard-wearing material.
I had great fun doing this and thanks to the CO for all the hard work.
Excellent work.
TFTC
JABs.
Second attempt and slightly soggy helper had the cache retrieved when the cache finally revealed itself!
Many thanks. Great cache for kids

Great Stuff. I loaded up the car with several diffent types of tools. But I realised just as I arrived at my original carpark site that I didn't have the right tool.
Off I went to a friend's house to borrow the said tool. Only to find I couldnt remember which was his house. But after some scavenging around.. Bingo- I was fully armed and ready to go.
After a short walk to the GZ and a little bit off searching around, I found the hide. What a professional job..
While standing cross-eyed & holding my tongue in the right place, I managed to get the treasure by myself. And then I realised I didn't have the a scribe to register my log.. But to prove I was there "I agree - It is harmless"
What great fun and thank you for a great cache
After much amazement and talk of all things geocaching, we parted ways, and he will be back with his son to show him the cache. Who knows, maybe this will get a couple of newbies into our sport/hobby/pastime?!
Everyone agreed this was an excellent cache. Thanks muchly DnA!
After running some errands, we parked the car and ambled to GZ in the sunshine. Easily found, we then set about the task of extraction - after a few interesting moments of attempted coordination, the cache was ours !
It was not FTF, but it WAS #2400 !
We think it also was very appropriate that it was a GCA cache too!
Thanks DnA! for an elegantly constructed geocache !
Thanks for a brilliantly put together piece of work!
Now the cache. It can be done on your own, I did it and am seeing my chiro tomorrow to take the double twist out of my back. Nah - Just kidding, but I did it successfully with the help of my friends ich, I ego and self: no-one else was there to help.
Started the retrieval and ah oh; another surprise. Overcame that small delay and voila I had the log. Logged the cache at 1146hrs as my 2nd of 4 for the day, 596th overall.
Also found the tool that was left behind. It was big enough reborn!!!
Had a muttley and its owner go by, followed by some lady; neither any the wiser of my intentions or the cache as my photography is a good bluff.
The trip back was easier than the one on the way to the cache - I wonder why?
Thanks for a cache with a difference; cheers for now, OldSaint.
I'll have to come back next week.
Fabulous cache!
Thank you!
