Why do I geocache?
Because i can!
Yet another unloved GCA cache. Found easily, no blackberry to contend with, although there is a bit growing in the general area.
Cache in pristine condition for such an oldie. Interesting to note that most of the original swag is still present in this cache.
Thanks for such a fine hide, madmana.

While we were finding GC caches along this walking trail we stopped to look for this cache. Fortunately we had our walking poles so we were able to push the blackberry runners out of the way and probe the piles of bark which led to the unearthing of this older cache. The container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for this cache Madmana. We enjoy finding older caches particularly those, like this one of yours, that has its original box and original log.

#GA2542 - 13:30; After driving down to Melbourne to bring the geostudent and her friend back for uni, Sol de lune flew in to join me for a days caching and the return journey to Canberra. Our plan was to make finds in as many of the dragonZones in which we were yet to make a find as we could. Today the plan was to head south to Kingston, then on to Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula before heading back north to Monash and a few other zones before wrapping up the day in Stonnington. After completing our southern run, we are back in the city. Managed by sheer good luck to enter the best driveway for access to the path to this cache. Took a stroll after parking the geomobile and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC madmana

Day 2 of a run through the area with LuckyL10n and this was our next stop. Managed a park in among the many business and took a walk along the path. Once at the GZ, the blackberry vines were avoided and the cache was soon in hand. Log was signed, cache replaced and it back to the car and off for the next one.
Thanks Madmana....I thing the 1/1 rating is a little low (maybe 1.5/1.5 at a minimum) but thanks for the cache.

I've been past here a few times , but never thought to look for a GcA cache, I checked my map during the week and there it was, right where I was riding today. Over 1 year since the last log, cache is in perfect condition ! Certainly worthy of more finds, thanks for the cache

It is still here and in perfect condition.
I only discovered geocaching last week but I know I'm already a tragic, lol.
I'd only known about GC caches and my very first find (which is always so special) had team_coxy as the CO.
Then last night I stumbled across GA caches...
So many seem unloved. :-/
Very little activity in the last 2-3 years.
And as I was researching, I noticed this one by madmana, son of team_coxy.
And 2 of the last 3 logs were DNF, and that is all there have been in nearly 5 years!!
Yep, this was an invitation I couldn't refuse!!
Early afternoon on an overcast working day meant very few muggles.
I seached for 15min with no luck before I went to the clue.
Totally misinterpreted it!! Lol.
Spent another 15 min looking for the wrong thing. Hahaha.
Thought about giving it away, but I'd have one more look first.
So I paused and let my newly developing geosenses guide me...
Found it straight away!!!
Felt like an archaeologist recovering an old relic as I extracted it
Moved to a place screened from muggles to open it up. I was most surprised. It is in the best condition of any of the caches I've found yet.
Signed the log.
Left a car. Took nothing.
Returned the cache. All good.
Thank you so much, madmana.
My very first GA cache.
Loved it!

Out hunting with just Google to help (I don't own a GPS yet - this is only the third cache I've hunted). Pretty sure I was in the right spot, but masses of blackberry made it rather painful to search thoroughly. Nothing jumped out as the solution to the hint either. Will have to come back with a GPS and sturdy gloves!
No, it's not gone. It's still in place and in fantastic condition.
Out today with a couple of hours and I'm focusing on unloved GA caches. This one definitely falls onto that bucket though I'm not sure why. I followed GPS straight to it, made the find and was back on my within minutes.
Thanks madmana for the cache.

Think its gone. When we got there there was a guy collecting logs?!.so not surprised it gone, plus its been two years since last log. I wish there were more caches in the Eastern Subrubs!
Saturday morning, and it was a great time to be out and about caching with no care in the world. I had about half a day before I was due over at a friends house so I madly cached in the Kilsyth area today. With a high concentration of caches that I have yet to find here, it was a good 3 hours with 14 caches found. As usual, I would park close by and run into GZ with the backpack on my back. This was cache # 1 for the morning, and while a few muggles were about it was easy enough to do what I had to do without anybody realising what I was doing. Thanks

Found with Kamce. She went straight too the hiding spot. I think were both getting the hang of this game.
Took slinky left koala.

Found with irontoad at 1640 today. Creek was completely dry apart from some mud patches so we didn't need to worry about a bridge as we had parked on the other side of the road. Left koala and took slinky.

A wet afternoon, with my geoprince attending an appointment nearby my queen drove me to "find nearest" - because I can. With 3 GPS !! (Etrax (the real one), iPhone and nuvi) I could not agree on a location - then using my geosence located the cache. A quick job back to the car - a stop at Anoconda (to discover that the only etrax cable they had was $65 - no thanks I can get 1/2 a new unit for that) and then on to Croydon before 5...... Good Job !!
Thanks madmana

Our 4th cache for the day. Out with caughtatwork he proceeded to tell us about the 10th anniversary and the caches that we created to celebrate this momentous occassion .
It was a lovely walk to the cache location and the heavy rain stayed away until well after we made it back to the car. Great to see good swaps in a cache. We took the dog on the tuckerbox keyring & left a mermaid keyring and a small superball.
Thanks for the cache experience today.

Wheeeeeeee! An anniversary cache.
There's not too many left near me, so today when I was out with The Mini Mob this one appeared on the radar so was a must find for me.
A nice sized container and even with the recent rains, it was bone dry inside and had some wonderful things to trade.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks madmana for this cache experience today. The rain was only lightly falling today and it was very nice to wander along the track and experience the area.

Having done a couple of other new GC caches by Team Coxy in the area, it wasn't far to this one and I was soon parked at a nearby spot and walking the 150m to GZ. Once there, the cache hide was quickly spotted and logged while keeping a cautious eye out for muggle bike riders and walkers.

Thanks madmana - there were once a few caches by s.d.m.geo in this area, but they've long been archived.
