Description
Moonah is a residential locality in the local government area of Glenorchy and is about 3 kilometres south-east of the city of Glenorchy. The 2016 census provides a population of 5421 for Moonah. The name has been in use since 1895. It is believed to be an Aboriginal word for "gum tree".

Mr T from Tassie Trekkers and Mr W decided to tackle this well set up series of caches on the NETRTrail. It was a great day to be out riding. The better halves dropped them off at 10.15 at No. 56 and collected them at No. 01 five hours later. Today Mr T and Mr W (whitewebbs) tackled this trail and thoroughly enjoyed the journey. Loading up the trailer with their pushbikes, Mrs T & Mrs W dropped them off at #56 and collected them 5 hours later in Scottsdale.
