Description

Beach T 1114 commences immediately east of Goat Island and extends east for 1.8 km to the point. It is initially a cobble high tide beach, containing rock outcrops and intertidal rock flats. As it extends to the east the cobbles are replaced by a narrow high tide sand beach fronted by a mixture of rock flats and a 100 m wide low tide terrace. It is backed by a narrow reserve then the road, with houses increasing to the east. Waves average less than 1 m and spill across the low gradient beach and flats.

Recommened parking at S41 08.521 E146 09.510, there is no parking on beach side of the road.

Cache is not at the posted location but can be found not far from here.

Having solved the puzzle associated with this cache sometime ago we decided that it was time to look for it. At the end of our morning walk along the beach we stopped here and soon spotted the container. We had to wait for a dog walking muggle to go by before signing the log and replacing the box.

Thanks for the puzzle and the cache DEZ055.There is plenty of evidence of the recent storms at high tide level.

A beautiful winter afternoon got us out and about, we'd solved this one earlier and now the opportunity to search. The coordinates were accurate and the hint certainly helped. Thanks for the puzzle and an excuse to visit this lovely area

Got to work puzzle solving as soon as these caches came out.
Didn't take long to nut out the correct cipher.
Got to gz and floundered around a bit until I took more notice of the coords....which were spot on.
Many thanks DEZ055 for placing these caches....thoroughly enjoyed...cheers ST.
