Description
An entrant in the leapfrog race
Just Friends are a couple of strange mates who competed in the moveable cache race, December 2011 to January 2012, but they are now enjoying a more leisurly style of travel.
Please log with a tick as soon as you can after you pick them up and log again with an arrow when you rehide them. Please rehide them with care, hide them well enough that muggles don't stumble on them by accident but leave a good hint and accurate coordinates in your log so that they are easily found by other cachers.
Thanks to all for keeping them safe and keeping them moving.

And to top off my not so successful day this was the third DNF for the day
The tree that was at GZ no longer exists thanks to a fire and I could find no remains of any sort amongst the charcoal.
Just in case I checked all the hollows within a 20m radius as well with no success. Sorry but I think this moveable cache is no more

We really could have done with a find here to help us in the current Summer Scavenger Series.
It's evident that a fire has gone through here, and the area is looking a bit worse for wear.

Called in to see the friends on our way home from Gawler, but left them in their cosy hiding spot for the next person to find them

Well, The Friends are back out there. This was as close as I could get them to home and a very nice spot for a frog and a turtle. I'll post an image when I've downloaded them.
Came back to say farewell to the frogs and Cheeky wanted to go home. Apparently the Friends didn't mind the mongoose, plus they quite liked the changing of the guard and the rugby practice, so they were tempted to stay but, just like Cheeky, they found the weather a bit damp. Even for a frog and friend!
So, back to Australia. If I'm not mistaken, this is a WA frog (and friend). I'll have to find them somewhere closer to home.

Just Friends seems to have teemed up with Cheeky, or perhaps the thought of warmer climates was the reason. Anyhow this pair found their way into my bag and are now hiding with Cheeky.
Came here looking for Cheeky but found friends! Will have to get this cute cache back into circulation. Where is the question?

Moved north west is now in a reserve with three moveable friends nearby
Well it certainly helps when you find the right track to tackle it from! Finally gave up the first attempt after stumbling around in the bush and came at it from a different direction. Made an easy find! TFTF
Tucked away just off the track with a friend !
Happened to be in the area for work, so made the drive up the hill to make friends with this frog !
Not sure why this frog picked this spot to hide in but you know frogs....stubborn little creatures so who was I to argue with him
Given to me by Swampy to add to my collection that will travelling Northwest later in the week
Found at the 12/12/12 event at Hobart and took all the frogs for TimTam.
I will let her rehide them once we've both logged them all.
Thanks for the frog! And turtle!

Had hoped to take this pair on a longer journey but plans deferred and we've had them too long. Back out they go.
Collected one of our favourite caches this afternoon. Seems a long time ago that we found them on our way to Mandurah. Still hiding under bushes though. It's about time this pair came out of the closet!
We'll find them a nice spot over the next couple of days.

One of three hopping mad frogs we dropped off in this park whilst traipsing around. Lovely spot for a walk.
Found this croaker on our morning constitutional with the geopups. We will move him on ASAP.

One of 7frogs placed in this area, a beautiful day to be out and about.
One of 4 frogs we found today along a track beside the river. Very nice spot for frogs. TFTF

A big thank you to all the fantastic Tassie cachers who are looking after our "Friends". We have visited your fair Isle a couple of times, but that was BC (Before Caching) . We are hoping to return in the not too distant furture.
A nice quiet stretch of river to look over and plenty of shade.
Like this frog (and friend) and have enjoyed his company for a few days but it's time to part. Moved him back out to a suitable location for a frog.
Collected "Just Friends" whilst in the area today. Bit different from the last time we met! Will get him out soon.

Just Friends is sharing a cold frosty hide overlooking an abandoned playground at Dago Point, Interlaken. Will the finders bring along children to play while they explore this almost surreal facility in the bushland setting of lake Sorrell? The frog was hidden on an incredibly frosty morning, -4 C, lots of ice and no snow.
Just friends has been hiding some rocks with some friends next to the Mersey River on Shale Road. Just is off to Interlaken on the weekend.
A perfect spot for a frog....he's all well and ready to travel...TFTC..Cheers.

A frog invasion at our shack. Having a hopping good time.

Handed to Tassie Trekkers while holidaying at the shack.
Took a detour on the way home to rescue this frog from the cold and wind. Searched in the dark, no muggles around. TFTF.

Nice little spot for a froggy to hide.
I thought I might have seen this one before, but logs show that I haven't. Very cute - thanks for the frog.
Met this fellow with a group of other frogs and a gnome or two at a lovely caching dinner.
After being laid up for over a week I finally got this to another cacher to continue its journey.
My apologies for keeping it so long
Cheers OldSaint.

Being a recent arrival in tassie we thought that this little fellow should be out and about to make friends with other frogs and geocachers. So, he is back out already waiting patiently to make a new friend.
We came to Launceston today to bring a sewing machine in for repair and a service. Whilst in the area we went looking for this recently arrived frog. We had visited the area before when looking for another race participant so it didn't take nearly as long as before to access the area of teh hide. Once near GZ we were able to make a quick find. This is a charming little frog - full of character. TFTC
Four new frogs have hit our shores and this is one of them - thank you nutwood33. Took the geodogs for a walk and hid them along the trail in this reserve. Happy frog hunting
I had a chuckle when I hid this one as I was fairly sure who'd be along soon and I could remember who'd hidden that gnome.
Interesting thing is that it was exactly twelve months ago (I logged it the following day) that we recovered our very first gnome from this exact spot and it was entirely coincidental that I was passing by yesterday with frogs to hide.

One of three frogs we collected on our night raid. Nice to find some new frogs welcome to Tassie TFTF (guess who hid the gnome there - thought it looked familiar)

Chose a pleasant spot for this frog, exactly where we found our very first gnome. We enjoyed travelling with "Just Friends", hopefully they'll enjoy their Tassie travels.
Nice looking frog. Haven't seen one like this before. We'll be taking him on a bit of a journey.

A minor detour on the way home and a new resting place for this cache was found. A few more kilometres on the final day of the race.
You can find the frog next to the retaining wall, under some leaf litter, behind a bush.

Picked up fluffyfrog at the end of the working day, a quick find thanks to where Mr. Wileyclan dropped this cache off. Now off to home, I think a quick detour on the way will find a new resting place for this travelling frog.

Went chasing a GC cache in the hopes of those elusive first to finds. While there I met up with FelixII who had some frogs that wanted to visit Garden Island. No problems, on my way there shortly in fact!!
Thanks for the frog

This little frog has been everywhere with us but we have not found the right spot to let him go. We stopped off at Bayswater a few days ago and checked out a park .... next we went to the airport ... and it was tempting .... Yesterday, we were in Samson saying goodbye to Erik the Gnome .... Anyway, tonight we all went out for a movie under the stars. He checked out a nearby lake with the Rain Froggy and then watched the movie with us.
mmmmmm, looked in the obvious place but no luck. It hasn't been confirmed that it has moved on. Lots of hiding spots anyway and Bubba Bear was taking an impromptu swim so I decided to leave.
Will keep watching. Nice park BTW.

5.40pm. Yay! Found him safe and sound in his little hiding spot! Thank you for the big hint with the obvious clue, Chwiliwr!! We had a good look the last time with no luck .... and Xinders came here for another look too ... so we are really pleased to find him today. This was a sneaky hide. He was well camouflaged!! We hope everyone had a great Christmas and wishing all of you the best for the New Year!! TFTC iluvtrekking!!
The frog is still there and waiting to be found. As the hint says about 1.8m from edge of bridge.
We have been to check on the Frog and his friend but we were not able to locate it. Here's hoping it is safe & sound.
Came here last night to look for this little guy but had no success so I thought I'd try again. I was here about 1pm. Perhaps he's been picked up .... or I might just be blind. (sigh!)
