Description
the cache is a peach container with the contents of a log book, a pen and some swaps.
the seismec station is a nice spot for a look around and a good spot to walk the dog, it is down a gravel road just off the bend where you will have to go on foot from there on due to the gate at the start of the walk.

Thanks for the cache Sam3:)Hall. Was out and about today with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP today. RLD4963 recommended this one which he did a few weeks ago, so we stopped here and took a very pleasant stroll with great views. A nice easy hide in a very interesting spot. Cheers.

out and about with Lil Rafa while she had lunch with the girls I went to find this cache, quick walk in and take lots of photos for proof of visit, found tree with bricks, signed log and more photos, then a quick retreat to get away car. nice day starting to get warm, some cloud but no wind, TFTC TNBPLN log dry.
What a great spot for a cache. A fantastic view as well. Took Alby's advice and had a nice level walk in from bend 5 on Nelson Rd. Not found since April 2016. Cache and contents were nice and dry, should have done it earlier as well as cache has been published a long time. Well worth a visit. TFTC

Goose informed me this one was unfound for 3 years so we had to call in on the off chance and what do you know it was hidden well and still in good nic. Soon added our names to the log and its back to the car.

Well we were wondering if this cache was still in play. We had decided we would find out today so SSR and I parked outside the gate and strolled in for a look. Coordinates were accurate and led us straight to a likely spot that fitter with the hint. A quick look revealed the cache clean and dry. This is the first find here in 40 months! TFTC

Somehow had missed searching for this cache previously, but today in the afternoon sunshine, it was a good excuse, with wilco for company !
Thanks for the cache, sam3:)hall !
Thanks for the cache, sam3:)hall !
Found this cache in the company of Mr red tag. I didn't realise this site was here and had a bit of a look around in the sunshine before leaving.
Having discovered some of the tracks in the area following a lunchtime stroll a couple of days ago, I decided to make this cache one of my objectives for today's jaunt. After coming up the hill, via a little path through the sheoaks, the cache was soon in hand, and I checked out the interesting structure. It was then a case of making my way across to Nelson Road, Bicentennial Path and back along the Churchill Ave to complete my daily 3km circuit. Thanks for adding extra incentive to my exercise, sam3:)hall.
Parked on the driveway, a quick walk in, a quick find, a quick check of the doors - there is a fan running inside, a quick walk out and a quick getaway. Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for the cache
A quick walk in followed by a quick find. A look around, tried a few doors....unfortunately all were locked and a quick walk back out. Thanks for the cache
An interesting spot what happens If I jump really hard.

Once we found the best access to this area, it was only a short and easy walk to GZ where a quick find was made. We presume that all the monitoring equipment is in the bunker and that only the communications gear is above ground. Would be interesting to get a look inside. TFTC sam
I thought I might just go and grab this one before I headed home. Unfortunately, even though it wasn't raining any more, the ground had become pretty slippery. I was just down from where the cache is located and poking around on the edge of the bank, when my foot went from under me and I did one of those spectacular cartoon-like flips down the bank. My foot was up in the air in a tree! If anyone had seen me, I think they would have been laughing alot! After a stick popped up and cut me on a caching walk last week, my shin is starting to look patchworked! I think I need danger money to continue caching. Once I regained my composure I duly found the cache. Thanks samhall.
Found after an illuminating workshop at Hobart College with the guru of positive psychology, Dr Martin Seligman.
Great spot for a cache, highlighting a location that I never knew existed - and I even studied Physics at UTas!
My GPSr lead me to exactly the right spot, so I found the cache without the hint. I always like those!!
I also liked that I could take a slightly different path back to the car.
Is there any significance to spelling the cache name "seismec" rather then "seismic"?

Had saved this cache for a nice day for a walk with the kids. And today was perfect. The views on the walk in and out where great and worth the walk alone. Found the cache at the second tree searched. Took nothing and left nothing.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Unlike Reborn, I walked to this cache in the drizzle, but didn't get very wet.
Looked for what turned out to be a good hide; found and signed the log at 1033hrs.
Thanks for the cache and the morning exercise.
Cheers OldSaint.

I was really surprised to see this still unfound this morning, so after dropping Mrs RC at work, I drove to the gate mentioned (for future finders, it's at Bend 5 on Nelson Road).
The clear blue sky helped, but the walk down to GZ was delightful. There's some lovely bush on the slopes of these hills, but it's usually missed among all the houses.
I must admit, I had always imagined that a seismic station would be in a flat area, but I guess there's no reason it couldn't be halfway up a hill.
The coordinates were spot on, and the cache was quickly found.
The log book was completely blank, so I'll claim this as my 50th FTF.
(By the way sam3:)hall, when you're adding notes to your caches on the website, there's a box marked "Log Type", which you can change to "Noted", otherwise it looks like you keep finding your own caches).
Thanks for the cache - nice spot, nice hide!
