Description

A cache to celebrate the 4th Castle Hill Scout Troop

A straightfoward cache to encourage people to Eric Mobbs Reserve and observe or even participate in the the local scouting activities.

I have recently become involved involved in the scouting movement and have spent many fun nights here with the troop.

The troop have even helped in the construction of a few of the other caches in the area.

Please return the cache and camo to its original state so that it remains concealed from muggles.

Enjoy!!

Stopped here to get this cache have been here a lot of times playing cricket but I wasn't a cacher back then. So I was nearby and decided to go a bit further and get this cache. The GPSr had a lot of trouble deciding where it wanted me to look. So after 10 min decided I would "branch off" by myself & I found the cache in the second place I looked. Sat down opened it up but my pen wasn't in my pocket, luckily my car wasn't too far away. Signed the log then came back to the cache and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Purplepeopleater. I left a Bison (not a bison tube but a small plastic bison from Yowie chocolate

#GA1290 - 18:45; Day 2 of a Sydney caching mission with Sol de lune. After a nearby DNF, we pulled into the carpark we should have used earlier and I made my way to GZ for a quick find and sign. TFTC Purplepeopleater Very Happy

Out doing a bit of scavenging by night and this one took the prize for a 2012 hide. Thanks Purplepeopleater.

"Come with me", she said, "and we'll go some night caches!". What she didn't tell me was that these were on the other side of the George river and, to make things worse, the M4 motorway. It was in the Hills district!

Quick find after a failure to find the night cache we were looking for in this area. Enjoy your adventures!

We were trying for the nearby night cache (but failed) and Team MavEtJu suggested we head over to get this trad to make up for it. Even had a GeosportZ 2016 moment of wrestling on site.

This place looked very familiar because I'd done a multi that started here a while ago. Looks like they're putting a good sized extension onto the scout hall. Nice quick find. So thats a trig, a trad & an event for the leap year! Shame I couldn't find the nearby "moveable."

Well I was over this way doing some of the caches in the Bidjigal Reserve (but not the night one... yet!) and this seemed like a good one to start with. Fast find in a nice spot near the scout hall. Thanks Purplepeopleater, cache is in good condition.

The geokids found this - the first one they've found by themselves. Took a purple plastic lizard and a strap. Left two plastic dolls.

Thanks!

Having just found the new GC cache "Under Stone" in the bush I had to pick this GCA cache up on the way out. Not far from where the night cache starts and my GA Cacher app took me close enough to where I could use the geosense to find the hide. Signed the log and scanned the Munzee even though I'm still not convinced about them!

Was in the Scouts for a fair while a way back. Not what it used to be in terms of numbers but has recovered a bit from what I can gather.

Thanks!

A nice quick find after letting the boys have a play in the nearby playground. I was a Cub with 2nd Parramatta (St Johns), but didn't move on to Scouts. TNLNSL TFTC.

Headed up this way to grab the cache before returning to Baulkham Hills to do the shopping. A nice easy find here. Unfortunately the Munzee site or app was playing silly games as whenever I tried to scan the barcode the app closed as soon as it grabbed it, even in test mode. Tried rebooting the phone but still no result, and my other barcode reader app worked fine. Very frustrating, so I will have to leave the 2 Munzees here for another day. Thanks Purplepeopleater.
