When I arrived here and pulled over I didn't have much hope. The fires had burnt quite hotly through GZ and there was really nothing left but ash and rock. It took a while to find the exact GZ and just as I'd given up hope I tried from a new angle and spied the cache. Couldn't quite believe that the plastic sistema was intact with absolutely no damage.

Well this 1 had me going, 1 of the harder 1’s to find today but I loved it, after the early morning rain it was a little slippery under foot, got there in the end – loved it many thanks - TFTC / TFTH / SL Clan Griffin

A great day of caching from Richmond to Mt Victoria. Weather was perfect (a little hot later on) and mosty caches were in good condition. Great to see this many GCA caches around here, thanks for putting them all out!

Knowing we were headed up here today with JJCC for a cache run, we got some intel from a previous finder in regards to heights. But evening armed with this information the cache wasn't going to come easily. After about ten minutes we were making our way back down the slope when we noticed something that was invisible from other angles and the cache was revealed. All good and in excellent condition.

Out for an afternoon drive on Bell's line of road towards Bilpin. This was the only DNF for the afternoon. I stopped and searched for a bit with no luck. GPS unit was bouncing around a bit (something caused by the steep incline I was beside)

This took a while to locate. The GPSr wouldn't settle down, just as I thought I was close to GZ it would point in another direction. Eventually sat down and waited for it to choose a spot then went for it. A quick find after that. Signed the log & replaced as found. thanks for the cache ack son of hack

Luckily for me the cache was easy to spot as I started the climb. I doubt there would be any other reason to climb here other than for this cache, so I put it back as I found it.

Well, well, well...wasn't this fun. First attack was from the bottom, but GPS said go higher. So back down to the path and around to the top I went....where the GPS said go lower. I was still smiling, so I went back down and started to climb again....and managed to do that right where GZ was. Bit of luck that, but I was happy to take it.....log was then sign and then I was back to the car and off to the next one.

Think I earnt my D/T stars on this one. Thanks again ASOH...

Out for the day with pjmpjm mainly to do the "Striving Towards Blue Mts Power Trail". It turned out to be a very good day for us with plenty of finds.
This was an easy find once we got close to GZ, the clue helped. The cache was in good condition and quite dry after all the recent rains.
Thanks for the cache.

This was one of more than twenty logs that rogerw3 and I made while travelling down Bell's Line of Road this afternoon, from Bell to North Richmond. We found mainly GCAs but also two GC traditionals.

Our main effort was to complete the 'Striving Towards Blue Mts Power Trail' in one afternoon . . . and we nearly succeeded. We found 13 of 14 and DNFed one that now seems almost certainly to have been muggled. (At the end of the day we talked to a previous finder who thinks we checked the correct place, in vain.)

No. 7 was one of the more interesting GZs of the series. I remember being here in the past, for some other cache or survey marker. rogerw3 put his hands on the container fairly quickly, because of the good clue and accurate coordinates.

All was in good order. TNLNSL.

Many thanks to the CO for the cache and for the whole power trail along Bell's Line of Road.

Our last stop for today as we headed to Lithgow - didn't want to be late for the walk! My gps was pointing to the middle of the track which we knew was impossible so we searched around a bit. Thanks to Canary for his log as we were about to give up when I read his comments. Ah! 20m away and up a bit. Strike-a-light quickly located the cache after that and I took a reading which was pretty well exactly the same as Canary's. Maybe the CO can update the co-ords of the cache listing? Nice easy spot to pull over here which is good, TFTC Smile

FTF!

On a work day shortened by a sick son, I too way too long here.

In fact I gave up as the was nothing near the listed co-ordinates I had searched 15m arond them!

When I got back to the car I re-read the description I went higher for a quick find about 20m from GZ.

TNLNSL. TFTC.
